It all started one day coming in for brake caliper rebuild and paint job then I caught the upgrade bug. I went to Bells & Vaughn only because my Geico auto insurance had a very small number of locations where they do damage assessments at, this being one of them. At the time I was an hourly contractor, meaning if I did not work, I did not get paid. This means I wanted to limit the amount of errands I ran so I wouldn't miss out on pay. I called Bells & Vaughn ahead of time and the girl at the front desk assured me that if I come in, the damage assessment they would give me would satisfy the Geico assessment. I asked many clarifying questions to ensure that this would be the case. She was wrong. After getting a damage assessment there, I was later informed that an official Geico assessor had to do the assessment there, meaning I had to go back and miss more work and lose more money. Flash forward to me picking up my repaired car. They tell me my car is ready and hand me my keys and the car. I'm like okay, I'm all set then? Yup. I leave. The next day I get a call from the Geico assessor, who seems to be in cahoots with Bells & Vaughn and tries to drive business there. He leaves a message that was a borderline threat. He told me that I hadn't paid the full amount owed past my deductible, and that, in a ridiculous attempt to sound authoritative and commanding, "_YOU WILL_ PAY BELLS & VAUGHN THE REMAINDERING BALANCE". Yeah, I don't have a problem paying what I owe. You don't need to try to command me like I will be scared or something. It would be nice if the employees didn't once again screw up and collected my entire payment while I was there. Lastly, and worst of all, not everything on my car was repaired correctly. The major damage to the front had been fixed, but clearly the hard mudflap and screws were still broken and shaking around behind the tire. It was impossible to miss. The point of insurance was for me to pay my deductible and have the damage fixed. I was astonished that they just ignored this obvious problem and let me drive off like that. I thought about going back there and demanding they fix it, but considering how things went already, and that I would miss out on more money from my job, I passed. I've never forgotten this. Although years later I had to take my car to Bells & Vaughn for a subsequent Geico assessment, I exercised my right to have my car repaired elsewhere. read more

Let me begin by saying DO NOT TRUST YOUR VEHICLE AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT.... I was referred by my insurance company to leave my car for windshield and dent repairs. The receptionist...not sure of her name...was a completely dumbfounded and did not have any idea about what she was doing. No one walked out to my car with me so that I could show them damage when I arrived. Worse yet..when I called for an estimate and 'PETER' was obnoxious and rude. When I picked up my vehicle no one walked me out to show me the work they had completed. Two days later my rear view mirror fell off. I returned to this 'horrible' place and asked for someone to fix the problem. A man who did not work there began arguing with me saying that these things happen all the time and that it was 'too bad' that there was nothing the place could do. He then called the people who fixed my car on speed dial. How the hell could he know who fixed my car if he didn't work there???? I waited and an hour later my mirror was fixed. Before I left I spoke with the owner of the place 'PETER' about the horrible service I had received. He was arrogant to say the least and did not care about what had happened to me. I proceeded to ask for the name of the receptionist and for his card and he did not provide it to me. He simply said that 'It was an internal problem'. The only reason why I decided to give this body shop a 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the time it took to repair my car. Initially, I was told that maybe it will take 2-3 days. I dropped my car off on Tuesday and was told that it could be ready for pick up by Friday. A lady called me and said it would be next Tuesday, so I was like fine. I was waiting for like a notification from them on Monday to come pick up my car the next day but there was nothing. Then I called on Tuesday and they said it wasn't ready yet but it will be ready on Wednesday. the thing about tesla cars is that I get notifications whenever the doors are open and stuff. There were some activities on my car on the first day when I dropped it off and on Tuesday when it was supposed to be ready for pick up but I couldn't pick it up until the next day. My conclusion was that they didn't really work on my car until the very last day which was disappointing. read more

They do a fantastic job! Raffie has an eye for detail and even told my mom and I that her car (which I now have) was previously in an accident. The clues to that were so subtle (we had no idea) and there was no history provided that the car was in an accident before my mom bought the car as used. The real reason why the car was brought in was because the driver's side door was dented badly in an accident and State Farm Insurance recommended this shop as one to do body work. They fixed that door, color was matched flawlessly and even took car of the other "dings" that Raffie caught. The car looked brand new back in '97 when they fixed it and it still looks great as of today. A few years back, they even installed a custom body kit on my ex's '95 Honda Civic and repainted the whole car a frost white. My experience with Bells & Vaughn was absolutely positive. I brought my vehicle in for a rear-ender repair. Anna at the front desk called me up within minutes of my filing a claim with my insurance. She promptly scheduled me an appointment early on a Monday. Upon arriving for my appointment, Anna immediately called the rental car company to come pick me up. Raffi called me up that afternoon to inform me of the extent of the damages, how much it would cost, and when it would be ready. Anna called me the day it was supposed to be ready, to let me know my vehicle was ready as expected. I do most of my own work on my vehicles, and inspected their work. The color matching was on point, and the work done was outstanding. On top of all this, I keep my car very clean. I was referred by my friend who works at Allstate to bring my car to Bells & Vaughn after I originally brought my Mercedes into another shop and they told me that the whole rear quarter panel needed to be replaced along with the bumper. I had work done on the bumper of my 2 year old car. When I got the car back, I immediately noticed the paint around the bumper was bubbled up and when I touched it to see what it was, the paint peeled right off! I immediately pointed it out to the owner himself and I was first told it must have already been like that. Then, I was told to take it home for a week and bring it back. Finally, after I refused all of the above angrily, pictures were reviewed and it was agreed they would fix it. In the end, the car was repaired, however, the fact that the owner himself took me for a fool and tried to hustle his way out of fixing the problem instead of just fixing it right away, proves that this company puts their needs before the customer's. read more

I met Raffi in 2012 i had a truck that needed it some body work and i was amazed on his fairness and professionalism right from the start. I didn't tell him that i had gone to 4 other shops and all of them tried pulling the wool over my eyes but because i am in the car business i knew not to take it in to those shops. This is a family own business and its the most honest shop i have found in my career in California. I strongly recommend this place with no hesitations.
