Excited to visit Seattle, I booked my room 6 months ahead of time. I called the front desk and gave them my credit card information and dates. Three months later, I called to add on a night.... they said it wasn't a problem and helped me with the changes. Fast forward to a week before we go, I call the hotel to inquire about the check in time, and there's no record of my reservation. Now the room rates have doubled, they no longer have the room I need for my family, and no one can help me fix it. I was looking for hotels around Seattle for a reasonable price and I'm so happy that I decided to go with this hotel. The hotel is in the middle of all the popular Seattle attractions and the price is unbeatable. We stayed here for 4 days and we walked everywhere because everything was 10-15 min away walking. The only thing we took a bus for was the zoo and even the stop was in the corner of the hotel. The staff is very friendly,every time you walk in or out they greet you with a smile and a hello or goodbye. If I'm ever in Seattle again I would stay in this hotel again. There are a few homeless people around the area but that is not the hotels fault and if you walk during the day time then you should not have any problems. read more

The hotel is cute and the service was great. It is convenient walking distance to a lot of area attractions at a semi affordable rate. They do offer first come first serving in a lot .5 blocks away. The area of town is sketchy!!!!! If you don't want to explain the people smoking crack pipes yo your kids, stay somewhere else. All things are out in the open. Great location in between Pike's Place and the Seattle Center. If you are visiting town and want a hotel within walking distance of the tourist sites, this is close to everything. There are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance too. The hotel and rooms are clean. It's not a very big hotel, which is good, so it never felt crowded. There is not a gym or pool or anything like that, but there's a nice rooftop patio with good views. I looked at a bunch of hotels in the downtown area, and Belltown struck a good middle ground in terms of price and quality. It's not luxurious, but a lot less expensive than some of the other hotels in the area. If you don't spend a lot of time in your hotel room and don't need a gym, the Belltown Inn is clean and well located. Per usual, there are a lot of hotel taxes and fees on top of the nightly rate, but the same would apply to the other hotels. read more

I wish I could give this place more stars. I am super tall and have a really bad back so hotel rooms are usually the worst for me. The Belltown Inn has amazing beds that somehow don't hurt my back (my bed at home doesn't even feel this good usually) and the beds fit me and my tall self as well as the showers fit me and have great pressure and heat (it's like a massage every time I shower!). It's really always amazing to stay here. We've stayed here like 5 times now and will continue to do so. The area makes it super easy to get places and do things and there's some folks usually around the bus station next door who appear to be houseless but they literally don't bother anyone and just do their own thing. Loved it! This was my first visit to Seattle in years. We needed an affordable hotel close to many of the touristy places! Yeah, I know! I had to act like tourist that I was and spend a lot of time taking photos and such, but I promise you, this was not my idea!! Belltown Inn was great! We stayed there for four nights and felt very comfortable for the duration of our stay. The folks at the reception desk were wonderful and the cleaning crew was fantastic. We had walking access to the waterfront, the Needle and Pioneer Square among other places. The parking lot was across the street, but free of charge for the duration of our stay. The only hassle was carrying our stuff to and from the hotel; no big deal for us, but it may be for others. The room, although small, had everything we needed. Wonderful experience. read more

When we went to Seattle, we were looking for something cheap, within walking distance to a lot of places and nice. Belltown Inn was just that. I loved loved loved that Belltown was so close to the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. We walked almost everywhere we needed to be and when we decided to go to the Zoo and breakfast outside of downtown, we rented a zip car (there were probably 5 cars within a half mile radius). Belltown also offered free bicycle rentals, which we took out one night, very nice accommodation. Also, the receptionist let us know that we were at the very end (or beginning) of the FREE BUS ZONE. I think it was only during certain hours, but we used this when we had to get to the train station back to the airport with our things. Thanks, Seattle! Upon reading reviews, I had seen that a lot of people thought this was a bad neighborhood and unsafe. I disagree. There were a lot of homeless people around at night, but I was with another person, so I didn't feel nervous or scared at all. There was one incident outside of our hotel for the three days we were there, the ambulance had come, but I'm not sure what the problem was. I found this hotel off Hotels.com and am pretty glad my husband and I booked it for our recent trip to Seattle. It is situated in the middle of Belltown and was a short, short walk to main attractions like Pike Market, the Waterfront, and the Space Needle. We arrived super early on a Saturday morning and they were able to check us in. How pleasant. Cons: We were on the first floor which is fine because my husband and I preferred that. But the major con was our room faced the alley at the side and the noise level is NOTICEABLE. With the windows closed we still heard any one talking or walking in the alley and the garbage trucks. That was perhaps the loudest distraction. When we first checked in, I saw that they provided earplugs. I thought it was for snorers but I think it's really for the crazy loud noise outside. Pros: Nevertheless, we had a great stay here because the staff were super courteous and attentive. The hotel was clean and tidy. It was centrally located close to attractions. It was close to good eats. They were able to check us in HOURS early and allowed us to have a late check out. They offered free, fast wifi, their TV had ample cable channels, and the room had a useful kitchenette. And best of all, they offered free bike rentals which we utilized multiple times. If we were to return to Seattle, we would not hesitate to re-book here at Belltown Inn again. read more

He went out of his way to make sure what we were coming to Seattle for was open and was super helpful! This hotel was awesome! We found it last minute and we loved it. Stayed here 3 nights and the price was great. The location is walking distance from everything! The gym -20 min, Pikes Market- 13 min, and just so many great restaurants on the next block. I highly suggest the Biscuit Bitch which is right next door for breakfast! For dinner there's Mamad Kitchen for great Mexican food and Wakefield Bar. The room was a good size and felt homey. The staff is all really friendly and gave great tips for places to go. After a flight cancellation, an early morning flight, my son and I arrived to check in. Found out there was some confusion and both of our nights were cancelled instead of just the one. After a few minutes, everything was taken care of and we were good to go. We arrived around 11, so around check out time. But we were still greeted warmly and told we would receive a text when our room was ready. We got a text around 1:15-1:30. When we arrived back to get our room keys and retrieve our luggage, we were told our luggage had been brought up to our room for us. They put us in a nice corner room above the entrance. When we checked out, Summer was very helpful with the whole process and was very nice the entire stay. But the bright light in the hotel had to be, Melba! She was so friendly and always had a huge smile on her face. I'd stay here again just to interact with her. (And yes there are homeless people in the area. Mind your business, just keep walking and don't make eye contact. They won't bother you if you don't bother them. My older son and I walked from the Westlake Link Light Rail station around 11:30 at night back to the hotel and there was no one out on the streets. The security guard greeted us and let us into the hotel when we approached.) read more

The Belltown Inn is really great! It might be the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, including places that are 2-3x the price. Front desk staff were friendly and both the check in and check out processes were a breeze. The snacks in the room are free and there's a fridge, microwave, and sink in the kitchenette. The rooftop deck is open all hours and is very spacious, so you're still able to have your own private conversations even if another group is there. There's a security guard at the hotel entrance at night so I never felt worried about random people coming in. The only con is that there's only one elevator, so there can be a bit of a wait sometimes. Now the location - I never felt unsafe. However, I'm from SF and am familiar with being around homeless people who are sometimes on drugs or generally unwell. Like any big city, be aware of your surroundings and don't flaunt possessions, and you will be fine. This spot is really close to Pike Place Market and has a ton of great dining options within a few blocks radius. I'd stay here again the next time I come to Seattle! read more

Centrally located to everything in Belltown and not far from Downtown attractions such as Pike Place Market and Lower Queen Anne must-dos such as the Space Needle. Definitely walking distance to both areas. Staff here is super accommodating. Anything we needed they took care of quickly. When the AC was wonky on the first night they fixed it. The door wouldn't open with the handicap button - they got it. Parking is available nearby on a per night basis. Several restaurants and iconic bars are a short walk away including Shorty's and The Crocodile. Breakfast is handled too with the incredible Biscuit Bitch one door down. Belltown Inn has a quiet courtyard with a cute fountain. Free bike rentals and a spacious rooftop patio made Belltown pretty perfect. read more

This place was located so close to so many different bars, restaurants, stores, you name it. Half a mile to Pike's Market, half a mile to the Space Needle. We saved a ton on transportation, because everything was within walking distance. The staff here are great, all very approachable and more than willing to give recommendations and advice on local places to eat or have drinks, where to park, etc. If visiting the area, I'd definitely stay here again. The only negative part of my stay that I experienced was the foot traffic in the hallways can get a little noisy through the door. The only good thing about this hotel was its distance to everything in downtown, BUT THAT'S IT. The reviews and 4.3 star on Google are a scam, the room was abysmal. We were supposed to stay from June 29 to July 1, but we could not stay after stepping foot in the room because it was just the bad. The moment you step into the hallway to go towards our room, it smelled of disgusting wet moldy carpet. That smell was amplified in the tiny room we got. My friend and I were nauseous to the point of puking and got a headache. We checked out the other floors to see if they had the same wet moldy carpet smell, and they did. So we had to leave immediately and ended up staying at a Residence Inn, which was a huge upgrade. So, if you can, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. FORK OUT A LITTLE EXTRA MONEY AND STICK WITH A NAME BRAND HOTEL LIKE MARRIOTT, YOU WILL THANK ME LATER. My friend and I are fighting to get all of our hard earned money back because it is such a waste giving even a single penny to this establishment. read more

Had an amazing stay these past few days. The hotel was kind enough to let us check in a couple hours earlier and let us check out a bit later with a small fee charge. The room was very clean and well equipped with a fridge, microwave and sink. They offered free coffee and snacks. The street outside may be a lil crowded especially at night time with sketchy people, but overall the security and safety of the hotel is good. All the major attractions of downtown were an easy quick walk, there's also plenty of electronic skooters around to use. The hotel also offers complimentary bikes. They also offer to hold your luggages before check in and after check out while you wait to leave to the airport. The roof top views are amazing as well, highly recommended checking it out! read more

The hotel is in a great location for a fair price. Pikes marketplace is a 10 min walk away and it's convenient enough if you're tired and need to rest you can get back without much hassle. Also biscuit bitch is right next door! The rooms are very clean and spacious as well! The front desk is very helpful and welcoming too! The only downsides of staying at this place was the noise level and homeless. At night whoever was staying above us walked very loudly and we just heard constant thumping around throughout the night. I don't think the floorboards are the sturdiest so any walking from upstairs will make noise. The front desk tried to move us but had no other room for us unfortunately. Also, the night life in this area can be loud so late at night we could hear drunk people running around and the homeless shouting outside. So nothing the hotel can do anything about, but if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs or get a room on the courtyard side. read more

The bus stop across the street was pretty sketchy and the hotel doesn't have it's own parking so I didn't feel super safe walking to my car or leaving it in a lot where I had to pay $30 a night. From my late night,2am, arrival to allowing me to stay extra days. The staff was always helpful and friendly. I had hurt my back and was stuck in the room my entire 3 day trip. Had a great stay this past week at this establishment. The room was comfortable and the service was awesome. My wife and I enjoyed the clarity and sound of the Samsung TV along with the plushness of the mattress we slept on. If there was one disappointment though, albeit a minor one, is that there were no tissues to be found in our room. The majority of places we've stayed in have them in the bathrooms and just about everywhere throughout the grounds, but not here. This Inn is very clean and the staff was nice. Other than that not great, our king room was so small we didn't have anywhere to put our luggage without tripping over it. The toilet was weirdly short. There is one elevator and it took forever so most of the time it was busy so we took the stairs. Also, not the best area. There are a lot of homeless people in the area. Also when walking to Starbucks in the morning a squirrel sized rat ran of front of us right in fro t of the hotel. We ended up leaving early to stay at a nicer ( but less expensive place) across town. read more

The reason of why am giving 3 stars to this hotel is because it's located right on the side of the homeless, I am super shocked for what I saw so far and I am literally only few minutes since I got here, outside the hotel is crowded by homeless twikers, people shooting heroin right in front of everyone, this crazy homeless having a huge party outside the hotel, we were walking to the main counter and the door was locked and while we were trying to figure how to get inside the homeless started harassing us, just a pretty bad experience, the hotel inside is pretty nice though, the room is clean and cozy, but unfortunately I wouldn't come back here, they need to do something about the homeless because they are scaring away people am sure. I never saw someone shooting heroin before and I come from San Francisco, Bay Area I am really traumatized, pretty hardcore spot. read more

Belltown Inn staff was kind and made checking in and out easy. The Inn is about 10 minutes away from Pike Market and the Space Needle. There are always people outside hanging out and drinking. As a solo female traveler they were kind to me. Sometimes asked for change or asked to buy a cigarette. The rooms were clean and a good size. However the bed was not comfortable at all. It was hard and bumpy and the bedding was so rough. My rating is because of safety and the bed not being pleasant to sleep in. read more

My family arrived (11pm Seattle time and 2am Miami time which is where we flew in from) to the hotel only to discover that the room we were supposed to be checking into was unavailable. We had received an email confirmation that morning saying that everything was all set for us and even did the early check-in to help expedite our check-in upon arrival. It was supposed to be a two queen bedroom for all four of us. Upon checking in the two gentlemen at the front said that, unfortunately, all rooms were already booked up for the evening matching this description. We have had this reservation for over a year an were extremely disappointed to hear this, but both gentlemen were still very helpful in booking us two one bedroom accommodations in the meantime. We took this option as they assured us that they would not be charging us additional money for the inconvenience and that caitlyn would be in the next morning to assist us with this issue. Early the next morning my father stepped outside in the courtyard to smoke only to meet a nasty employee of yours. I believe his name was Josh. My father was aware of your no smoking policy in the bedroom, however, thought it would be ok to smoke in the patio area. (As no signs are in the courtyard stating this and it is fully outdoors. Please see photos attached as you should have some if you want to enforce this policy properly.) Instead of the employee asking him to kindly go out front to the street he stated "and I came in f-ing early to help you people and this is what I get. I'm charging you a $250.00 for smoking on property." This was extremely rude of him as he did not introduce himself, say hello, or make any other comment to us beforehand and this is how he greeted us. Cursing and being very unruly to us because we inconvenienced him because he had to come in early... This is not our fault that your team had incorrectly overbooked the hotel for the evening and now this is how we are being treated by your staff because they were inconvenienced because they had to wake up early to fix the problem. (Which in your comment below, Caitlyn, you fail to mention this and accuse my father of being the unruly one. Get your facts correct before commenting) Lastly, my father went to speak with now another person at the front to ask if she was the manager. This is when she informed us that Caitlyn was on vacation and handed him her card to reach out. ( Both gentlemen the night before said she would be in to handle it which she never did. Not a phone call, email, etc. and not a single employee ever even asked us what happened/ about our experience.) He dropped the card off to myself to see if we would be able to reach her and he went back outside to the street (literally down the block) to now smoke. While walking back in the person at the front now told us that she spoke with her and that they have now canceled our reservation for the week. Is this the type of service you treat your guests with? Why are you punishing and lashing out at your customers because your teamed messed up our reservation? This reservation was booked for over a year and because of your teams incompetence we now have to suffer. I can assure you that we will never be returning back to this place and will be reaching out to your corporate office in regards to this matter. This has been the absolute worst service. The fact that management, specifically Caitlyn, didn't even have the decency to call us is the even bigger problem. Don't blame customers for your teams incompetence. Especially when you try to twist it about "canceling" reservations because of smoking a cigarette in a courtyard with zero signs. Communicate with your team better and take responsibility for you mistakes. Do better and actually reach out to your customers instead of commenting on a bad review about your service trying to justify your actions to the public. read more

For a visitor, this is one of the best hotel deals in town. With its striking pastel Harley Quinn exterior, it's pretty easy to find. While my room is way too close to the neighboring building, it's still quiet comfortable guaranteed a night's rest. The rooftop provides more living space, and a vistas of Seattle's inner skyline. What kicks up this three-star hotel though is what the flyover bumpkins hate: Belltown. It is easily a charming village located next to Downtown so you get walkable access from Belltown's own charm, Pike Place, Pioneer Square, and every cool place in between. Bell Street is unlike any other, the street's is a bit of a 'linear' park complete with colorful tables, benches, and plazas. There's the yuppie bars, bistros of course, but also Biscuit Bitch. There is no one dangerous here, unless you're biased against the social service users that mill about here (re: they're not homeless). read more

We came into town around 2am and it was not the greatest surrounding area. The pictures don't tell the whole picture in any way. The parking associated with the Inn is not safe at all. One parking lot across the street is filled with random people sitting on others cars and the other is down a dark alley underground. The staff at the front desk advised not to do the dark alley "because you never know if it's too unsafe". We asked for a refund for the nights we planned to stay and the HOTEL DECLINED! We stayed 2/27/2020 - 3/1/2020 The hotel was nice the room was very clean. A little on the small side but really was big enough for what we needed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to many restaurants near the hotel. There is a biscuit bitch right next store which is apparently really popular. We are there on Friday so the line was short might not be worth it on a weekend with a 45 minute wait. There is also a small grocery store very close which was great. Hotel was just few blocks walk to Pike Market, Needle and there a lot of surrounding restaurants, cafes and bars. I also noticed the number of homeless people in the area and a dog park next block. Hotel is a bit old, room came with a small kitchen but no plates or utensils. Love the fact they have a self service laundry area for long staying guests. The hotel is nice, however, THE AREA IS SKETCHY. The parking lot is 15 bucks per night in an unguarded lot with all sorts of warnings (would have gladly paid more for secured parking). The area ruined the stay since I was concerned my car would have been broken into (makes it difficult to sleep). I had transients outside my room yelling at passers by. I should have known staying close to a city center can have its drawbacks. As far as the hotel is concerned. The rooms were clean and the staff accommodating. It's conveniently located to The Pike area/ space needle etc. Kudos to the owners for helping to gentrify an obviously poverty stricken area of the city.
