I've been going here every 3-4 weeks since it opened and have gotten my haircut exclusively from Nick. EVERY single time he cuts my hair exactly as I want, what more can you ask for? How about reasonable prices for the city, good location, nicely updated interior and easy banter with all the employee's. It's not a large shop but they are always very accommodating with squeezing me in when I call last minute. Even though I live in the South End, I've been getting my hair cut at a salon in Lowell. Finally, I had to make the leap because the drive to Lowell was getting to be too long. I'd tried to make the leap to a nearby South End barbershop before but had been burned by some terrible haircuts so I continued with the Lowell option. Finally, I decided to make the jump and decided on Belsito. I've always walked by the shop and had good vibes about the haircuts they provide. Finally, I booked an appointment to have my hair cut by Shenouda. Shenouda's attention to detail is astounding. He is very precise and really puts a lot of pride and skill into his work. Even my wife has commented numerous times that my haircut has looked better than it's ever looked, mainly because it's a more updated looking taper cut. When I first moved to Boston from the Midwest I was looking for a new barbershop to call home. Looking for a new barber to trust is a difficult process but I struck gold with Nick. He does such a phenomenal job time and time again. The price is very reasonable, and it's a very chill atmosphere. I called made an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early was told stephen would be with me shortly ,waited 20 mins was called told him how I wanted my hair cut ,he told me he was the owner he was very experienced & that the shop was new ,then was done with the haircut asked if I wanted product in my hair I asked him if he could go shorter & trim my side burns he did a quick uneven bad cut less then15 mins paid $ 30 . Nick took me in immediately upon my arrival without an appointment. The guy is a pro: very efficient, and very precise. I just moved to Boston from LA, where there are no shortage of great barbers on Melrose Ave, and this guy is on par with my guy Precky over at Debonair in West Hollywood. The price is good, the vibe is great, and I've never had a quicker haircut that also looked very good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and I would also note that these guys won my loyalty now over Rooster. I found the Rooster folks very unaccommodating, and pretty snobby. Not at all professional, and they're a chain. Go to Belsito instead. read more
