Great shop! Not sure what the price issues are about. I'm a low income parent and found the prices to be spot on for the service. For myself (a small cup with 2 flavors) 2 kids cones and 1 kid cup, it was $20 . That's much less than I expected to pay. Visited here with a friend. The ice cream is just OK, it doesn't taste as good as it does when you buy it in a container at the grocery store. That seems contradictory because it should taste better and fresher at the ice cream shop. I have been to a couple B&J's over the years and the only one that was better than the carton was in Vegas. Their mint chocolate has no artificial coloring and a very yummy natural mint and dark chocolate chunks. The frosting was a light fluffy whipped cream. We have been coming to Ben and Jerry's since they first opened in GH. Tonight we stop in and they have hardly any flavors, no dairy free or sorbets. So the ones in the group ordered their ice cream and as always they ordered 2 flavors in their pints. It's part of the allure of stopping in instead of just going to Safeway. Halfway through the order the 2nd girl walks up to the gal scooping our group and says what are you doing? No splitting pints and then when we said we have never had a problem she got loud and asked who the employee is that does that. I described 2 people and it turns out it's the manager and the owner. She then said that they do what they want. I wanted to walk out I was so embarrassed. We paid and left. And group agreement is we will never be back. And no samples. Safeway is 1/2 the price for the same product. Customer service matters. This place has lost theirs. read more

I was thrilled to find of Ben and Jerry's had a store front! I was even more happy with the non dairy options they have seeing as how I have a little one who can't have dairy. They have almond milk alternative ice creams but he's also allergic to nuts so we stuck with sorbet. I was happy they had more than 1 flavor to choose from for him! The ice cream and sorbets here are much better than ice cream competitors. I'm from across the bridge though so if we go to Ben and Jerry's I'm basically adding $6 to the bill! If we are really craving good ice cream choices that we can't get on the east side of the narrows I'm willing to fit the fee! Ben and Jerry's is also the priciest ice cream I've enjoyed. My kids and I can't get out of there for under $25, but like I said, I think it's worth it! My favorite is the sunflower butter cold brew coffee ice cream with hot fudge and whip cream! Ben & Jerry is one of those places you have to go just cause you should. My first taste was in California and was happy when they finally built one close by especially in my home town. If you haven't tried their ice cream their flavors are always a interesting journey with unique flavors. I had the Chunky Monkey (Banana Ice Cream with Fudge Chunks & Walnuts) on a waffle cone. It tasted great but other than the unique flavors there's little else that is just amazing that would earn it 4-5 stars. read more

The ice cream here is good, however the prices are a bit expensive compared to their store bought ice cream. But if you want that ice cream shop atmosphere then I would recommend it. There is a few tables with some chairs to sit inside or out if you'd like. I got a small cup of totally baked and my girlfriend got a small cup of the tonight dough. The price for both cups was 11$. We ordered 3 sheet ice cream cakes and 1 small round cake for our wedding, and they were perfect! For this many cakes, it is recommended that you call a few weeks ahead to put in an order. The woman who took my order was helpful in thinking through the decorations for the small round cake which was the one we were using to cut. They were able to do a custom flower decoration. Just FYI, if you're trying to figure out how to transport these, we highly recommend dry ice in a cooler (not fully closed to let it off gas). The staff are friendly and helpful, and you can get samples of anything! I personally love the shakes, but the wife enjoys getting scoops.
