I come to this location often when in the area, but the last few times, I've found service to be absolutely rude, slow, and sloppy. The youngsters just take very little pride in their work ethic. This is the worst Ben and Jerry scoop shop I have been to. I verified online thay had the scoop shop exclusive flavor of cookies and cream and I was happy when I saw it on the menu when I walked in the store and then it went downhill. As soon as we walked there were workers in the back just sitting in view of the customers. They were sitting on their phones and chatting. I made eye contact one, she got up, and then went right back to sitting talking to fellow workers. No other company makes butter pecan the way Ben and Jerry's does. That said, I've been to this Ben and Jerry's 6 times in the last 2 months and they've only had it in stock 2 times. The last time, I went as far as calling to see if they had it in stock and the guy said yes. I drove 30 minutes to get there and they were out. They didn't just run out. They didn't have it in stock. Had a pretty frustrating day today and worked my ass off and I just wanted some ice cream. If you don't have it fine but don't tell me you have it and then not have it and then text me as I'm leaving that you don't have it. To add insult to injury, they have the audacity to ask for a tip for getting me ice cream. It's their job to get the customer ice cream! If you're reading this, I get it. My life is pretty privileged to be able to spend the time to write this and complain about the business. Today after dinner at Pit BBQ. We decided to take a walk on the beach. Once we were done we decided to go to another one of our favorite spots when we're in Galveston Texas. Is located right on the Seawall across from the beach, so it's easy to find. The customer service is awesome. The selections of ice cream that they offer is incredible. There are so many good flavors that I can't decide which one is my favorite. My only disappointment today was they did not have any cookies and cream ice cream. Sweet cream and Oreo cookies is absolutely my most favorite ice cream in the world. The lady at the counter apologize and she actually made suggestions as far as what her favorite ice creams were.
