I come to this location often when in the area, but the last few times, I've found service to be absolutely rude, slow, and sloppy. The youngsters just take very little pride in their work ethic. This is the worst Ben and Jerry scoop shop I have been to. I verified online thay had the scoop shop exclusive flavor of cookies and cream and I was happy when I saw it on the menu when I walked in the store and then it went downhill. As soon as we walked there were workers in the back just sitting in view of the customers. They were sitting on their phones and chatting. I made eye contact one, she got up, and then went right back to sitting talking to fellow workers. There is also a bell on the door so they can hear when someone comes in and more people came in after us. A worker came back in the store from outside and had to get them moving to help us after a 4 minute wait. I asked if they had cookies and cream but they did not have the ice cream. They were annoyed that I needed to think after not having an ice cream that was on the menu board. I picked a different flavor and the ice cream was yummy. I work construction and landed a job in Galveston TX. Been here for 2 months now. Learned that there was a Ben and Jerry's on the Seawall early on. I love Ben and Jerry's butter pecan. No other company makes butter pecan the way Ben and Jerry's does. That said, I've been to this Ben and Jerry's 6 times in the last 2 months and they've only had it in stock 2 times. The last time, I went as far as calling to see if they had it in stock and the guy said yes. I drove 30 minutes to get there and they were out. They didn't just run out. They didn't have it in stock. Had a pretty frustrating day today and worked my ass off and I just wanted some ice cream. If you don't have it fine but don't tell me you have it and then not have it and then text me as I'm leaving that you don't have it. To add insult to injury, they have the audacity to ask for a tip for getting me ice cream. It's their job to get the customer ice cream! If you're reading this, I get it. My life is pretty privileged to be able to spend the time to write this and complain about the business. But if you're an ice cream/ customer service enthusiast the way that I am then know that not only do I not recommend this place but will never come back. read more

Drove to Galveston today with my boyfriend just to get out of the house. We noticed Ben and Jerry's and decided to stop. If you've never been to Ben and Jerry's, it's a Vermont based ice cream parlor chain, known for its creative, cleverly named flavors. My boyfriend had the Jimmy Fallon Tonight Dough ice cream. This ice cream is Caramel and Chocolate with chocolate cookie swirl, gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough. My granddaughter had to ask her if we could get ice cream and the girl took her sweet time getting to us. As we waited, I realized they were ordering food for themselves. We finally got our ice cream which for 2 people should never cost $17.00, and the girl told us the price, gave my granddaughter her credit card and they continued on with ordering their food.
