They had run out of regular waffle cones so I had to get one that was chocolate dipped. They had a whole display of plain waffle cones but I was told they were old. Ben and Jerry's has incredible tasting ice cream. I have been a customer here many times through the years. I love the taste of their ice cream. But I do not find them to be good value wise. They are quite expensive and I prefer places that are a bit more affordable. The other issue is out of the three times I have been here in the last few years, twice they have been closed. I did come here off season a couple of times so that maybe why. The Ice Cream is great but not over the top like Carvel (which I recently had again for the first time in years-Yum). Call me demanding but I'm not nor never will be a fan of employees in food establishments sitting on counter-tops. It's not hygenic and it looks terrible. I overlooked that as I like Ben & Jerry's ice-cream, however as I tried to read the board I was rudely asked several times what did I want. I explained that I needed to read the board first. He sighed and returned to sitting on the counter, blocking part of the board... Unreal. When I was ready to order I had to wait whilst he finished his conversation with his colleague whilst they texted. I wish I left at that point like the people behind us. Went in here yesterday. Ice-cream was great. Employees on the other hand were not. When I walked in the male and female employee were both sitting up on the counters eating ice cream. The male employee was so rude, unfriendly and arrogant. The female was a little more friendly and offered to help me make a choice of ice-cream and answer any questions. More customers came in while I was deciding what I wanted, they obviouly didn't like his attitude and went elsewhere. If I was the manager I would be very unhappy with this male employee. Imagine what it would be like if some random folks came upon a Ben and Jerry's - closed - and decided to open it for a day and steal the profits. That's what this was like. My girl ordered a fruit smoothie of some kind, and they chattered amongst themselves to figure out what goes into it. I could almost see their lips making the words "Hey, do you know how this works?" "Sure, just put some fruit or something in it, then mix it!" They ended up with much more smoothie than they needed, which spilled over the sides of the cup and shot out the straw-hole in the lid. What a mess, thanks for the sticky cup. It was still the taste we are used to from B&Js, but these clowns don't know much about the je ne sais quoi of showmanship. read more

Definitely my favorite ice cream place on the Cape. Great quality and outstanding staff.

It's always great ice cream when you visit a B&J but please keep the tables clean. At this particular location most of the tables were not wiped down. They were sticky. If one person is serving and there isn't a long line out the door it takes just a few minutes to take a little care of the tables. I took it upon myself to wipe our table down with a wet wipe. :( read more

This shop is completely transformed. Fully renovated with friendly people. New ownership I guess. Very clean and have a great selection of flavors. This is the standard Ben and Jerry's ice cream store that you will find anywhere there is one. I really like B&J's ice cream and this lace is consistent and there is usually a line as you would expect at an ice cream shop in a resort town. Sure if you can't get B&J's where you live (I don't know where that would be unless you don't have a grocery or convenience store where you live) or you don't have a store where you live, stop by. If you do have access to their ice cream, there are so many better options in P-town that make their own or have ice cream and gelato you can't get anywhere else. read more

I'm an ice cream maven. In Boston I am a regular at Toscannini, Christina's, etc. I found this scoop shop overpriced with servers with an attitude. I love Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Yes it is super premium and has innovative flavors. But this scoop shop is BAD. The server was condescending when I ask what the flavors were. Then said, " look on this paper sheet for an explanation." For 5.89 I got a partially filled small cup. She used the small scooper 2.5 times for my cup. It worked out to $ 0.75 a spoon as I ate it. Very poor value. I'll never go back to this scoop shop. I've been coming to PTown since I was a kid. I should have gone to Lewis Brothers in the Square. It's been there forever. I've had their ice cream and it's very good. Bad places don't survive in PTown. My bad for going to B+J scoop shop there. Lesson learned. read more

I visited Provincetown in late August with several friends, fellow Europeans on a two week tour of the states. As we walked through the center of town I saw a Ben & Jerry's sign and remembered one of my college professors saying that it is one of the most socially conscious companies in America, if not the world. We were in the mood for dessert anyway and entered the store. I spend summers in another part of the Cape but I make several visits to P-Town whenever family visits. After dining out, we always make a visit to this great ice cream shop for our dessert, for the best ice cream in town. The staff are friendly and efficient, and many are students from Eastern Europe earning some money for the summer. The decor is refreshing and summer-like and there are ample tables for eating and relaxing before re-joining the throngs on Commercial Street. I understand that the long-time owner participates in many charitable benefits in the area, donating ice cream and his personal services. This summer I noticed the additional of wonderful fruit smoothies....you can't beat this place for great ice cream and other treats, ambiance, and service. read more

I think its pretty hilarious how immature the internet is. Having been met with such incredible service and product at this particular Ben & Jerry's scoop shop, both my partner and I were surprised to find only three unpleasant remarks of the shop (all within a short time frame). My children have refused to go anywhere else for ice cream the past weekend. by our third visit, the friendly girls behind the counter had not only already sterilized two scoops for our youngest peanut allergic daughter, but they had remembered all three of our children's unwavering favorites. Not to mention the two had run the shop with the help of an older gentleman (owner of the store since its opening in the 80's) noon to midnight and were still as perky as the first day we shuffled down the line at a surprising speed. I ordered a Strawberry Lemonade smoothie which was perfect to quench my thirst. The one I had was called "White Russian", a flavor discontinued years ago but brought back this summer. That was a pleasant surprise.
