One of my favorite Provincetown stops loaded with treats and sweets. Many, many choices!!! If you really want to experience the ultimate ice cream high, get a scoop (or three) of the Toscanini's flavors. The B3 rocks my world: brown butter, brown sugar, and brownies ....their #1 bestseller (contains egg and gluten). The chocolate pudding is to die for as well. I'm sure the other homemade ice cream flavors are great...along with the vast array of delightful calorie-rich indulgences throughout the store. read more

Delicious ice cream and brittles. They are very conveniently located on commercial street (if you are walking). Very friendly service. One odd thing was they only allow you to taste a single flavor vs 2-3 at other places but that's probably to prevent abuse. Overall highly recommend them. read more

We got ice cream here every single night and stood in a line with other ice creamers every time we came. They have so many flavors, some classic, but most were unique combinations. The stars included Fleur de Sel Olive Oil and the Strawberry and Fig Balsamic. Jelly Donut is great for cinnamon lovers, and Tiramisu is great for coffee lovers who have a sweet tooth. The scoops are generous in size and they stay open until midnight! (Might be summer hours only) read more

The only reason this establishment gets a two star from me is because the chocolate/pastries were pretty good. The ice cream on the other hand was a major disappointment. My sister, best friend, and I came in after a lousy dinner to hopefully make it better by enjoying a good dessert. We each ordered a scoop of ice cream and to our surprise we paid almost 9 dollars each for ONE scoop of ice cream. The ice cream was mediocre at best and the scoops were tiny. We were fairly disappointed but they both got waffle cones and did have good things to say about that. Other than that skip this place. And Bay Cafe as well. Everything is overpriced and not even good. Save your money. read more

I ordered a vanilla ice latte and it was very poorly made extremely watery and milky almost no espresso. The espresso was also not fresh from the espresso machine and was poured from a pitcher. The coffee was unbearable to drink. read more

In town for two weeks. Went three separate times for their gluten free brownie. It's amazing. And I so appreciate having a gluten free option. Side note: I just have to add that I'm one of those folks that reads through other reviews. And I'm kind of baffled by the amount of customers that rated them poorly when said customers dropped their dessert and expected a business to just shell out a replacement for free. If you went to Target, bought a lamp, but dropped it in the parking lot and broke it - they aren't going to give you a new one for free because you have jello fingers? Why should this place??? read more

My family and I have come here a handful of times for our annual trips to the Cape. Every time we have been the staff has been friendly and patient. Usually we grab the hot peanuts and some ice cream. They have a good variety of flavors including the burnt butter brownie batter ice cream. Will come again. read more

We went there due to an ice cream article in the Provincetown Independent newspaper. We were not disappointed. I can only speak to the ice cream and not all the other wonderful treats they have. I met both owners as I was making my selection. They told me that they naturally source all the add-ons in their ice cream from local establishments. The jelly donut ice cream, which I had, came from donuts at the Hole In One shop in Eastham. It was fabulous! The rum raisin came from rum at Truro vineyards, etc, etc. The flavors are unique and I've been bragging about the choices. Definitely a fun place to take a visitor. read more

I stopped in with my 9 year old son and we both had one scoop ice cream cones. My son's one scoop fell off while walking out before one lick. The kid behind the counter charges me 6 dollars to put one scoop of ice cream back on his cone. I asked to speak to manager who in my shock refused to agree with me so I paid politely and left. I told them this was first time in life I'd ever seen a business behave like this. Kid behind the counter was also rude even before this happened. read more

I feel like this is "the place" I go when I'm in Provincetown to enjoy a good cookie treat or hand-dipped ice cream. Great Selection of flavors for the hard ice cream, that's what I call it. Not sure if they make the ice cream in house or get it shipped in from somewhere. I saw one reviewer mention they make their ice cream in Cambridge, MA. I recently enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie dough and it had plenty of chips and dough chunks which blended well with the vanilley delicious cloud like cold goodness base cream. Great place to stop for a treat! My wife had an espresso and we bought a Habanero alternative, dark chocolate with caramel filling bar. It was amazing! Craving something sweet I decided to check this place out. I've been to Provincetown a handful of times but never visited this establishment. I grabbed a mini chocolate covered brownie and mini m&ms. My favorite was the B3 ice cream (burnt butter, brown sugar and brownie). I wasn't sure if I'd like it so I got the smallest size possible. Well that was a mistake. This ice cream was so good. Outstanding ice cream! Their ice cream may be made in Cambridge, but ice cream at The Nut House is a must when visiting P'town. Take your time and sample a few of the unique flavors before you plan d your order. Because of the unexpected flavor and texture, I had a cup of goat cheese and brownie ice cream today. read more

A shop with every sugary delicacy you'd ever need. From chocolates, to gummy worms, to candy, pastries, ice cream, etc. My personal favorite is their ice cream. There's nothing like getting their ice cream after a satisfying bike ride around P-Town and the nearby beaches. The gingersnap molasses, goat cheese brownies, burnt brown butter flavors are my favorite! read more

I wish I had checked Yelp reviews before going. Okay ice cream, annoyed staff and extremely small scoops for the price they are charging. The worst place to get ice cream! Please don't go there! There's way better places. I found a piece of glass on my ice cream! In the moment I told the person who served me about it he just took the ice cream and threw it away, not refund, not replacement, nothing, he just asked if I wanted to pay for another one which I was shocked, of course I did not do it but it is very concerning that their employees don't care about the clients even if there's pieces of glass on their ice cream. It was unsafe and to be honest I'm panicked about getting ice cream again. Worst experience of my life. read more

Great ice cream selection! The staff was pretty casual and probably not as attentive as in other stores on Commercial Street. There's a cool popcorn machine, which will stand out in your memory, too. Funnily enough, I've never come in here to buy nuts! read more

It was the worst coffee mocha and Frappuccino drinks we have ever come across. The customer service was there to match it. It was literally undrinkable at the price of $8/drink. When we asked if we could exchange them for something else in the shop, the barista said she could throw it for us, but if we want to try something else, we need to buy it. No, thank you! Wish we checked the reviews - there plenty great options on that street. read more

Holy Cow! I love ice cream, and have indulged in the best across this continent and Europe. I have to say that the Almond Joy at the Nuthouse ranks in the very top tier: loaded with toasted almonds, dark chocolate and a touch of coconut, and soooo creamy. As for the whiners posting here, all I can say is that my cone was scooped to the max by a friendly and cheerful staffer. Wait, I can say one more thing: PTown gets swarmed by hundreds of cranky tourists arriving on overstuffed busses, and that can overwhelm any server at any time -- we're all human. Back to the ice cream -- Holy Cow! p.s. My travel mates also endorsed the Espresso and Mint Chip, but I'll go back for the Almond Joy. read more

When my husband and I travel we try to find a specialty chocolate shop. This home made chocolate was a Joke. The woman was very nice. She talked about how she makes the chocolate treats herself. The ice cream is fairly good but the customer service is terrible, the toppings are meager and cheap (whipped cream from a can and the hot fudge tasted like Hershey's), they don't give free samples, and the prices are astronomical even for Provincetown. The other ice cream shops in town are much better with excellent customer service and homemade toppings. I haven't tried the candies here which do look good but to me wouldn't be worth having to endure the rude attitudes of the employees. read more

Ice cream is good, but not worth the customer service experience. They don't let you sample flavors like every other place you ever buy ice cream, and most of the staff (not all) are pretty obnoxious and smug. I've seen someone accidentally drop their ice cream after being handed a cone and they'll make you pay to get a new one. It's unfortunate, but as a business you just need to eat that cost and bake it into your budget. Just seems like they care a lot more about protecting their margin than making sure the customer leaves satisfied. There are other more pleasant places in town to spend your money. read more

I have an obsession with homemade ice cream and have tried probably over 100 local ice cream places in various parts of the country. We loved this place! We tried the browned butter brownie, salty caramel, and gingerbread - all very good and fresh! We did also get ice cream from Lewis', which is about a block away from The Nut House, which was also good, but felt The Nut House's ice cream was superior. read more

Came here for Ice cream on Friday 29th around 9;10pm and the stuff at the ice cream section was so rude! They are NOT friendly at all both of them are female! I dropped my ice cream in front this store so I went back in I told them I dropped my ice cream just now in front of your store. Can I get the same thing and I need I will pay for it ?! The berry fruit smoothie that I got said made only with real fruit and ice. So I thought that would be a healthy option for me. When I got the smoothie, it tasted very very sweet, like they had added refined sugar....I was a bit disappointed but I was not in the mood to make a fuzz about it. If you go, please ask if they add sugar to their smoothies. That way you know if that is the right option for you.
