the selection of rolexes was minimal at best. the lady, the manager, that was helping us out did not really take me seriously at first when i was shopping for a submariner. she kinda did that scan to try to access if i could afford that watch or not. obviously i failed her test and it prolly had to do with how crappy my mom and i looked. but hey, we were just at the mall. its not like im goign to wear a suit or anything. they didnt have what i wanted. she acted like she was doing me a huge favor checking her database. after she was done helping me, she started to help my mom. she wanted a presidental watch with a diamond bezel. after she started to talk to my mom, she realized that we were serious customers. wow, she did a complete 180 on us. all of a sudden, she was helpful, and patient, and polite to us. she offered us coffee and water. my mom complained about the watch being too big and heavy and the manager immediately took of her own watch to let my mom try on for comparision. its funny how people change when they find out you have money. in the end, my mom didnt like the watch. buuuut, even if we did like the watch, i dont think they would have given us a good deal on the watch (15-20% is a great deal on a watch). shop somewhere else unless the have the absolute watch and are willing to pay full price read more

SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Called to put a pair of earrings on hold for a last minute Christmas gift. Which was probably the only good part of my experience. Jan was very sweet and helpful when I called. I went in and was informed that Jan had left for the day so Wany helped me instead. They had trouble finding the earrings, doubting I had them on hold at all. Finally the earrings appeared. He rang me up and wrapped the gift for me. As I was waiting, another customer finished paying and was walking out the store. A few employees greeted him goodbye with comments like "Thank you so much! And congratulations again!"... HOWEVER. As soon as he walked away. All the store employees were all laughing at him and all gossiping amongst each other for the entire store to hear. "OMG how old is that guy?!" "He is way to old to be having a baby!" "How is that even possible?!" "He told me he was 55" "No he's 65! I checked!!" "Why is he still having children?!" Most of the rudest comments came from the flamboyant gay male in the tacky red knit sweater. How immature and unprofessional!! Save your gossiping especially about customers, for you lunch hour! So Wany handed me my wrapped gift with a receipt in an envelope and wished me a Merry Christmas. I looked in the envelope and I said I don't believe you gave me back my change. And he said "Oh I didn't? I thought I did? How much do I owe you? One dollar?".. As the staff laughed and smirked. I don't care if it's $1 or $100. You need to give me my change. It's the principle. My gift by the way was wrapped in a sloppy manner with the tissue paper all wrinkled as if it's been squished underneath other presents under my tree already. Thanks for nothing. THIS PLACE GETS AN "F" for service and credibility. I took my husband's Tag Heuer watch in for repair and was told by the manager that it would cost approximately $200, when I asked for a ballpark figure regarding the repair cost. Admittedly, she did follow by saying she couldn't be sure until she spoke to her service person but that she would get back to me with a quote. A week later, she called me quoting approximately $400 for repairs, a bit steep in my opinion but considering my time restraints and other factors, I decided to have them move forward with the repairs. Upon pick-up I was charged a total of $614.18!!!! Yes, 3x more than originally quoted for a $1,700 watch. Who in their right mind would think that was money worth spending? That could have been a hefty down payment on a new watch. I was livid to say the least. She denied ever quoting me $200 or $400 and I could not walk out with my watch until paying the outrageous sum. I expressed to the manager that I was extremely disappointed with her service. In her attempt to defend the situation, she said the miscommunication would have been understandable if I had been speaking to one of her other employees, as some of them "don't speak very good English. Wow, really?! Again in trying to appease my frustration, she admitted that this situation had happened before. SERIOUSLY?!!! I could have guessed that. She again tried to defend this "misunderstanding" by saying she had been working in that store for several years and in all her experience, she never quoted on repairs at time of drop-off. Well, she did, and if she'd been there as long as she'd implied, she should have known better. I bought my husband's watch at this store approximately 6 years ago, so I had level of confidence and trust in them, that they would provide the best service for my needs. I've learned a valuable lesson, NEVER AGREE TO A QUOTE THAT ISN'T IN WRITING, regardless of who they are. More importantly, I recommend shopping elsewhere for you jewelry and watch repairs. It wasn't that we couldn't afford the cost of the repairs but, it was not an expense I was prepared to pay at the moment and I would have opted to delay the service for another time in the near future. Ultimately, I feel the decision was not mine and for that reason, it's just bad business. I'm an avid Yelp user and I'm embarrassed to say, I Yelped several authorized watch repair stores in the area and found terrible reviews. My wife bought me a new ring for our 10 Year Anniversary and after 5 months we had a problem with it and went back to the store. Edis Florimon helped us and replaced it for us no charge no questions asked. Now today, 8 months later, same problem and we go in and Edis is there. He looks at the ring and suggests that I maybe choose a different ring and they will take care of it. Not only did they replace the ring once again no questions asked but my wife got money back! I came in one day looking for a Rolex because the authorized dealer I normally go to did not have the watch I wanted readily available. I walk in and start looking at the Rolex cases and come to find they did not have what I wanted. A lady approached me and asked if I needed help, I told her I was looking for a Rolex Datejust for my mom but I did not see it here. She said no problem, we can have it transferred from another Ben Bridge location if you put a deposit. I said I was ready to buy given the right price. The lady then calls over possibly the manager who was an Asian lady. The Asian lady asks me what price where you thinking about and I gave a price the equaled to about 20% off MSRP plus tax. She immediately said we could not do that and the most we could do is no tax. I was not surprised by her reply, so I mentioned I received a better deal on the Rolex Datejust II I was currently wearing on my arm from an authorized dealer. This is where it becomes worst..... The Asian lady then suggests that it was not possible and that I bought a used Rolex. I was in shock at what the lady said. That was the most disrespectful and rude comment I have ever received. If you can't give me a better deal I understand, but do not make accusations about other people's purchases with their hard earned money. By the way the watch I bought from the other authorized dealer was new with all the original protective plastic and seals, I signed the warranty card, and I expect nothing less from an authorized dealer on the Rolex website. Do not waste your time at this Ben Bridge location. If you can spend more money on the watch more power to you but do not go to a location that has disrespectful employees like the one in Brea. I stumbled into this store last night as I intended to simply browse their line up of Tag Heuer's, I was always in the market for a Tag but never committed because tbh I was never really a "watch guy" so to speak. To my surprise I was greeted immediately by Leann Santosa who was extremely nice and polite(I guess anyone on commission should be hahaha), who ultimately earned my business because she was so kind and patient with me. I have been making my monthly payments within 30 days after my due date. I was told by Ben Bridges in the past that as long as my payment was made before the next billing cycle (30 days), that the late pay would not be reported to the credit bureaus. I rec'd a call from Ben Bridges re: my late pay on 4/2/20. I advised the rep that I would immediately make the payment online. My most recent payment due for February 28, 2020 was made on April 3, 2020 which was 35 days late. Ben Bridges immediately reported my late pay severely affecting my credit score. They are making substantial interest which I am willing to pay as I am paying late. My complaint is why is Ben Bridges even reporting this late pay during these difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic? Why are they so quick to ruin my credit when people are dying out there? As a paying customer, Ben Bridges should had not reported this late pay especially as I am 10 payments away from paying off the balance. Out of courtesy to a paying customer, this should had been waived as I am paying HIGH interest. read more

6 years ago I went into Ben Bridge Jewelers in Brea. The sales woman behind the counter was a snob. She belittled me over my Stainless steel Rolex. When I confronted her to stop the crap... She yelled for security to remove me. The manager asked me to come back in the store as I was leaving to avoid anymore confrontation. She asked me to write a note about the incident and they removed the saleslady for her actions towards their customer. As a result, the management had my Rolex professionally sent out and tuned up. I thought that restored my faith in them.. Until.. Fast forward.. This week.. Monday I stopped in just to look at women's stainless steel watches. The one I asked to look at was $4800 . The sales woman immediately say.. Oh yes.. Let me show you these. She looked at mine on my wrist and then said.. These are entry level Rolex watches WTH is wrong with Ben Bridges sales people? Respecters of people! and yet, to spend $5000 on a watch does not constitute a lot of money and follows up with "entry level" comments. The lady behind the counter was not wearing a Rolex, But I was, yet, there Ya go.. She sees my stainless Steel Rolex, and makes me feel like a wanna be. I know a lot of people, and many can't afford a Rolex, let alone would buy one if they could. I wear stainless steel watches because I don't NEED gold on my watches, and the stainless are perfect to fit me and my personality and needs. If I had the money to buy a Gold President.. I would not, because it is not my personality. I want quality, and I love Rolex, but Ben Bridge needs to educate their stuffy laypeople who In fact was the manager of the night, to understand, money is what keeps their doors open, and when someone is looking at Rolex or any other brand of significant amount, their treatment of customers needs to be improved, not belittling. That's twice in 6 years that this location treated me or made me feel like a cheap azz person. They've assisted me with everything from small gifts and personal purchases to large purchases like watches and my wife's wedding rings. The staff is always pleasant and respectful. Their manager Sue has always been extremely helpful whenever I've had questions or needed repairs/modifications to my jewelery. I had such a great experience. Juliet and Heidi took the time and personal interest in me and my budget and really helped me to custom make a beautiful engagement ring for my fiancé from Ajaffe! She absolutely loved it and I have no regrets what's so ever. Worst customer service skills I've ever experienced. I was made to feel so inferior and embarrassed by their employees. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but an Asian woman approached me as I was looking at their Tag watches. Long story short, when she asked my budget and it was well below the Tag watch I was eyeing, she laughed at me and pointed to a different section of the store and said "we'll need to go over THERE to the Tissot watches" with such a snotty attitude. Though this should have been enough to make me take my potential business elsewhere, I stayed, and she proceeded to tell the other employee working something as she walked by him, and they both started laughing. Could you be any more insulting and disrespectful? Tissot wasn't my style, and neither was she, so I continued to browse the store. She about lost it when I laid eyes on the display case next to Tissot, which happened to hold Rolex watches. She snottily said, "those are Rolex watches and way out of your budget". By far one of the worst experiences I have had in a jewelry store. The associate Wany told me numerous times that there was a lifetime warranty with the ring I purchased. Not once did he mention the lifetime warranty was specifically for the fit of the band. I don't care about a warranty that covers the sizing of the ring- I want protection in case something happens to the ring. The associate Edis decided to tell me in all of his years working with the company he had never been asked the questions I was asking- does that even matter? The customer service is POOR. I went in to the store this evening to look into possibly purchasing another charm/pendant for my necklace. I was greeted by a woman named Marie(a) and during the time I was explaining what I was looking for she looked at me like I didn't belong there. Then when I finally got my point across she said "hmm lets see" and walked around in an entire circle around the cabinets looking for who knows what. She wasn't polite, wasn't helpful, and didn't seem to know what she was doing at all. She didn't ask any questions about what type of pendant or price range I was looking for. After the complete circle she didn't try to ask another employee for assistance nor offer any suggestions, she just stated "they didn't have anything" and went back to her business. Victor the store manager (I believe) at the Brea store is very knowledgeable and has great customer service. He brought to my attention that my watch needed new pins before they break and I lose my watch. I was skeptical leaving it for repair. Only because of horror stories you hear. None related to Ben Bridge. Well I did and not only did he repair it within a very reasonable time. He also cleaned and polished it. It looks like new. I originally bought it at the Cerritos store and only had it cleaned there. Come to find out, they always did a horrible job. This is the first time my watch has not left an embarrassing black nasty dirt mark on my wrist after washing my hands. (Which was always a disappointment) not knowing that wasn't supposed to happen.
