This is a GREAT place for all jewelry repairs, custom pieces and all other items. I had them make a pendant into a broach for my mom for Mother's Day's. Sadly my mom was in another state helping her sister as my Aunt's husband was critically ill. Unfortunately, my uncle died, and my mom would there for the funeral on May 9 and Mother's Day is May 10th. I was flying there for the funeral, so I wanted to bring this with me when I flew out on May 6th. I asked for it to be completed no later than May 5th. There was some miscommunication with their repair service and missed the shipment. I was heartbroken. But they had someone drive up to Brea from Los Angeles to personally deliver this piece so I can surprise my mom and make her smile. Went in here awhile back and he didn't have a card machine that let you do debit with a pin so he wouldn't let me use the debit card I had cause it had my mom's name. I'm disabled and on ssdi and my mom is my representative payee so I can't have my money in my own bank account. I'm basically under a conservator. So he denied me service and told me that "he had never had anyone file a fraud claim against his store and he wasn't starting now. I tried to explain my situation but he didn't care. I ended up leaving without buying anything but not because I wanted to. I was only looking to spend $500 not a fortune. Seems like if you are going to deny people for using their moms card you should have a card machine that accepts debit pins. read more

I wasn't planning on leaving a review because although I have had one bad experience at this jeweler, I also have years of good experiences here as well. However after receiving a voicemail today from Maribel to let me know that Brea Diamond Direct was so graciously giving me a 500 dollar in store credit for my birthday I had to leave a review because it felt like a total slap in the face. I brought my late grandmothers gold ring in to have a dent removed from it and needless to say I was completely unhappy with the job that was done. The ring is much thinner than it originally was, there's white scuffs on it that were unable to be removed by their polisher and where they welded the ring together after it cracked from them heating it up does not look like it will hold up over time. Additionally there is a line where they soldered it together. Thankfully I was not charged for this service, but I left their store hysterical in tears. This was about a week ago and then you have the audacity to call me and leave me a voicemail to see if I want to come in to shop? When I called back Joe the owner answered and I asked to be removed off their call list. I get there's a lot of customers but he never once apologized or asked why I wanted to be removed. I was also told when I picked up the ring that Joe would call me because he was not in; I was reassured he would not want a customer to be unhappy/upset. Yeah, I never received that phone call. Like I said years of good experiences and one bad one, it's just unfortunate how the situation was handled. Total lack of accountability or empathy considering it was my grandmothers ring who just passed a month ago. read more

I called the store and spoke with Jackie, a jewelry consultant. She was warm and helpful. I was able to come in the same day for the appraisal. Upon arriving, the staff was welcoming and friendly.
