We hired Jason for two relatively small home repair projects: repairing some baseboards and wall…read morepaint touch ups , and replacing and staining the quarter-round trim around our fireplace hearth, along with some minor paint touch-up. The agreed cost was $550, which we paid in full before the work was completed. Unfortunately, the fireplace project was never finished despite being fully paid. Separately, we had paid a professional carpenter $750 to build two custom interior barn doors for our home. We entrusted those doors to Jason simply to paint or stain them. Instead, he left them outside in the rain, permanently damaging them. To "replace" them, Jason built two new doors himself. However, they were constructed as heavy exterior-style barn doors, weighing approximately three times as much as our original custom interior doors. They are far too heavy to be safely installed on our interior walls and are completely unusable for the purpose they were intended. As a result, we lost our original $750 custom barn doors, never received a suitable replacement, and our original fireplace trim project remains unfinished despite having paid in full. Our experience resulted in unfinished work, damaged property, and significant additional expense. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Jason.

Glenn Hannu did a phenomenal job on a major kitchen remodel. Some of the pluses: he's on site every…read moreday, and does a lot of the work himself. (After having a contractor on another job who sold me the job then never came to supervise his workers, I particularly appreciated this.) Glenn is a perfectionist in the work he does, as well as the work of his subs. I also appreciated that he cleaned up the job site every day when he was done for the day, keeping the dirt to a minimum. He brought lots of great suggestions that made my kitchen look and function even better than my plans. Outside of a delay due to the lumber store ordering the wrong cabinet, the job was done in the time frame promised. I can't recommend Hannu Contracting more highly.

Project went smooth, to budget, and was completed on schedule. Jeff, the owner is knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to deal with. Really thought out considerations for the elderly resident who would be living there and his suggestions and judgement were valuable. Cleaned up appropraitely and always considered the family dog and small children living at the residence (no sharps left around yard or worksite during prject.) Would rehire first for any size project from fixing a deck, to finishing basements, to an entire house. (Has built several houses in the Pepperell area, many on Village St, I talked to several satisfied owners before selecting for my job.)

Contracted these guy for a Four Season Sunroom to replace a screen porch. The company seemed very…read moreknowledgeable about the product and was very helpful with the design. Our design required a frost wall with concrete floor. Everything went fine at first, site-work, excavation and foundation were OK. The sunroom build seemed to go quickly and the three walls were completed as work ended one day. The next day Saturday, was windy and the three walls colapsed. The glass is tempered and very strong and we were lucky nothing broke but some of the framework was bent. I asked the builder to ensure no damaged pieces were used to rebuild the wall, he said this would not happen, more on the later. When the room was completed we loved it! Nice and bright and far better than the screen room but on rainy day it leaked, badly. One corner leaked so much I had to shop-vac the water up. We called Classic Sunrooms back and they sent their guys out. They started to caulk all the seams. This didn't work and looked horrible! The leaking continued every time it rained. Later, I got a call from the sub-contractor who did the foundation work and also poured the floor, asking if we were satisfied with his work. I said we were, the floor was flat and level with no cracks. He said that he still was not paid for his work and called me because he didn't want to put a lien on our house for the money owed. Holy cow! I paid Classic Sunrooms in October for the site-work and this was now January. I tried to contact Classic Sunrooms by calles, emails and certified mail, without a responce. I took a portion of the money owed Classic Sunrooms and paid the concrete guy directly. This made me realize that Classic Sunrooms business practices were not the most stellar. The leaking went on for a year and a half before they finally took the leaking sections apart and reassembled them.So much water had leaked for so long that the floor heaved up which required a separate concrete guy to fix. We still love the design and the produce but I would use the guys is Massachusetts to install this product.
