I struggle with PCOS and facial hair, plus I have ultra sensitive skin (eczema) and she always does a fantastic job with my wax and threading. I used to break out after wax appointments and half the hair would still be there anyways. Not with Laura! Laura is super nice, makes you feel comfortable and less awkward about someone near your face. She's helpful in suggesting products that might help and she truly makes the whole experience feel like you're just hanging out with a friend. The Benefit counter is just the best place to get your brows done. I find that the ones at Macy's are WAY easier to book than the ones at Ulta and they totally do a better job. UPDATE: After seeing how unhappy I was with my service, the store manager Nicholle reached out to me and offered me a do-over! The woman who did them this time around was Desi and she was extremely thorough. She showed me the 4 types of brows than can be achieved through brow mapping (which I was not previously shown) and after she showed me the best way to fill them in! I love a company that goes the extra mile and cares about each and every customer experience. I really appreciate them going above and beyond to make my experience wayyyyy better than my first time there. I will be back Desi and Nicholle ! Original review below: I usually get my eyebrows threaded in northbrook court, but I was in DIRE need, so I tried the benefit beauty brow bar in Macy's at Old Orchard Mall. It was 21 dollars for wax and tweeze, and my eyebrows barely look like they were touched. I am highly disappointed and will not be back. I've usually gotten my brows threaded for the past 15 years but over the years it's gotten thin and jacked up! I've been coming to the brow bar at Macy's for about 3 months now and love it! Shoutout to Desi who does an amazing job. She shows you what she will wax off before she does it! Very clean!!! They throw out the wax stick each time they apply it on someone. Please change the phone number to one that connects directly to Brow Bar. I ended up at the salon located on the second floor of Macy's and not once did I see any signs in there that says Brow Bar. The lady that was at the front desk asked me how I heard of her as in who recommended her to me. I told her I just wanted to get my eyebrows done and I didn't even mention Brow Bar because this was clearly a separate entity of Macy's. I'm so annoyed that there was a mix up. Literally called that number posted by Yelp and I was bounced around Macy's. I told the lady on the phone that I wanted Brow Bar to get my eyebrows done and she just repeated the word eyebrows and asked me when I'd like to come in. Sandy is excellent at what she does. She made my brows beautiful after them looking like a mess. The waxing at benefit doesn't hurt like it often does at other waxing places. She told me there are different kinds of waxes. It's a little more expensive but well worth it. read more

The women working at the cashier were extremely rude. I arrived 10 minutes early and they acted as if they were annoyed by that. They made me feel very uncomfortable as I patiently waited and browsed the makeup. There were 4 employees standing around while I waited to be serviced. I will not be going back to this location. It was not worth the $20 to be treated so poorly. The wax was average. There are certainly better places with more friendly employees out there! read more

Denise is AWESOME! I'm a professional makeup artist myself and she is one of the only people I will let touch my brows after decades of threading had them overly thinned and me less than thrilled. Since coming to her, they look SO MUCH better. A little pricey but well worth it. I now get tons of compliments on my brows. read more

Waxing removed some of my eyelid skin. Ouch. And now I have a bruise 3 days later. Would not recommend at all. I noticed my eyelid bleeding afterwards and the lady said it was connected to the fact I hadn't had an eyebrow wax in a while. This is definitely not true. read more

It was the worst experience from the beggining to the end. From make an appointment with one girl to getting eye brow wax with the 2nd. Both ladies were not friendly at all and every time it seemed like they were bothered, and doing you a huuuge favor by talking to you. Im paying 25$ for an eye brow wax, you can at leat say hello and smile. If you considering getting your eyebrows done go to ulta across t.he street or nordstrom service and work are sooo much better there. I called an hour before I wanted to go there to make my appointment. When I got there everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I'm strictly a "drugstore" make-up girl, so this was a real splurge for me. The esthetician was so nice explaining the process to me. She did careful measurements and drew in the shape that she was planning. She showed me and asked for my approval before starting. It was virtually painless and the final effect was stunning! No pressure to purchase product, but had a suggestion when I asked. I felt that the price was well worth it because the job she did was exactly what I wanted! read more

Denise is a fabulous expert !!! I have seen her 4 time already and my brows have never, ever looked better. Mine are bushy with a lot of gray coming through. Denise dyes and shapes my brows perfectly, and to the point I never ever believed possible. I love my brows now! Once I saw her at the last minute before going to a party, and she did a light tint so they were perfectly natural immediately.
