Worth the drive to Cheney! I'm a huge fan of Eggs Benedict. So when I heard this place opened I had to check it out! I had the Cali Benedict today. It was delicious. A great variety of flavors. Decided to brave the elements this morning and venture down to Bene's in downtown Cheney for a late breakfast. So glad we did! It was busy, but well staffed. Benes.....im assuming the name is for the selection of eggs benedict. I ordered a half cali benidect and it was AMAZING. And it filled me up im so glad I only got half. Presentation wasn't so good plating was good The décor is a little older but is a clean diner Overall . Food was very tasty yey could have been a little hotter buy were a large group ... Bene's is a great quick breakfast experience, but it's the subtleties that pull you in. The waitresses smile (and hustle). The atmosphere is simple, bright, and very clean. But the food... the food is something else entirely. Eggs Benedict is the speciality (and probably what you should order), and fresh squeezed orange juice is always ready made right in front of you. This place was really good my freshman year then went down hill. Seems like the amount of food you get went down and the prices went up.

Been here many times. Just average food but today the service was awful. The drink gal was not friendly and I'm not fond of their can soda deal. I watched one of the servers pull an open can out of frig and pour it in a cup and then open another can to fill it all the way. So basically you get half flat soda? I mean it was 9 am so not sure if that soda was from the day before or??? I totally would have sent that back if it was my order. Glad I ordered coffee. If you order scrambled eggs you don't get ' scrambled eggs' you get eggs cooked flat on the grill and folded over. This is not real scrambled eggs. read more

I tried Bene's when they first opened. I love eggs Benedict so I was really excited when they came to town. My first experience did not go so well. The poached eggs were saturated with water to the point when I broke the yoke it was just runny water that came out. I couldn't eat my plate. I left disappointed and had no intentions of going back. But yesterday I decided to give them another try and I am so happy that I did!! I had the chicken fried steak with home fries and a biscuit. My eggs were a perfect over-medium. I normally eat half my plate and save the rest for later. Yesterday, I ate EVERYTHING on my plate. My friend had the CA bene's and it was delicious! The eggs were poached beautifully. My hubs had the waffle combo and it's one of the better waffles I've tasted. The coffee was really good and nothing beats their freshly squeezed OJ. This will be our new breakfast go-to! read more

In town for a basketball tournament and ate breakfast at Bene's both days. Coming back next year just for the Irishman Bene's special. It was the best breakfast we've ever had. Great food, attentive service. read more

Came here mid morning on a weekday with a friend and we were able to be seated right away! The coffee is great, and we both got a half order of classic Benedict's. The half order was definitely enough and it came out no longer than ten minutes after we ordered. Great quality food and our server was super friendly as well, will definitely make the trip over here again. read more

We wanted a good breakfast on our way out of town. Loved this place. The staff were prompt and friendly. I'm kicking myself for not remembering her name. The food was wonderful and plentiful. This is a classic breakfast spot. It's jams are local and incredibly good. The cooks are fantastic with their timing and I have not once had an even mediocre experience at Bene's. The staff is fantastically upbeat and kind, and the food is clearly a priority for the kitchen staff. Whoever is on their cooking shifts is a magician and makes this place a MUST GO location for anyone in Cheney. Hands down, the BEST service and breakfast food I've had since I became an adult 10 years ago. Keep up the great work!!!! read more

Fresh squeezed OJ was amazing. But that was about it. Friendly people. Just way to busy for me and my kids. And way to loud as well.

Benes was an incredible meal. Though the menu is small you have a ton of options for mix it up. The waitstaff was very kind and the atmosphere is quaint and sweet. Been here before and the food was delicious, however my husband and I went there today and were told it would be a fifteen minute wait.... ten minutes in a group of nine came in and were told it would be a twenty minute wait for two tables together, ten minutes later the group of nine were seated and we were left waiting still after twenty minutes with no word from the waiter.... pretty sucky he didn't at least ask us if we were ok with him wearing them first.... we would have been fine with it but he seated the party of nine first and said nothing to us. read more

This place has been a lot of different eateries over the years. Somehow, I get the feeling Bene's will stick. (And I hope it does!) Finally, there is a place to get decent diner food in Cheney. Awesome prices, awesome food. Those picky about the ever-delicious eggs benedict, king of breakfast foods, won't be let down. Truly tasty. The only point of contention I have is the awkwardness of the dining area - nothing but a sea of tiny tables in a tiny, square front of house.
