Went in this morning, probably the most hung over I've ever been. KP was our waitress and I can't say enough good things about the service we got. She not only took care of us but when we made requests for advil for the hangover she came back with an electrolyte packet and 2 breakfast shots. Even asked for a cigarette to cure my hangover and she came up with that too. Amazing Bloody Mary, great food and incredible service. I've never laughed, almost thrown up, and ate great food to get my day going. Best waitress I've ever had hands down. read more

Service was good and our waiter was very kind. My friends and I misunderstood the sign and accidentally walked into the bar side, especially since there were booth seats that made it look like regular dining. When the bartender asked for IDs, we realized we might be in the wrong place and asked where the diner was, since we thought it was part of that area. He told us it was next door, so we had to go back outside in the cold to get there, even though the buildings are connected. It just felt a little unnecessary, confusing, and bizarre, especially since we were simply trying to grab some food. It was also late at night, which may have contributed to the atmosphere, but the interaction felt awkward and uncomfortable overall. I visited the diner a few nights ago. I don't know if they are under new management or ownership, but it was pretty underwhelming. There was seven shreds of cheese on my mushroom omelette. The hashbrowns were dry. The toast was disgusting and they were out of gravy. I've been coming in since they opened the place. This was the worst experience I've ever had. read more

A great meal at the Satellite. We sat at the counter and Danielle too good care of us. Always good to talk to the locals about what to do in the area. We weren't that hungry this visit so we split the Orbit burger with battered fries. The burger came with Sautéed mushrooms and red onion with melted provolone. So juicy and the mushrooms and cheese added to the flavor. The fries were hot and crispy. I wanted a bacon shirt but they were out of my size. Great service. read more

It was a random Sunday, I was enjoying my time with my co-workers. The bartender went above and beyond. She listened to all of our random requests and went far beyond what we expected. I couldn't recommend this place more. The bartenders are mean, vicious, aggressive, and very accommodating. I wish I had this every day in my life. NA was great!!! read more

I would not recommend this place unless you want overpriced, poor quality dinner food. Me and my family are on a road trip and we stopped in Spokane for lunch. The usual place we go to was extremely busy so we decided to stop at satellite diner. Although the service was fine the food was a disaster. They charge us around $20 for a sandwich that my brother refused to finish because of how disgusting it was. The chicken was dry and the cheese was foul. Bread was soggy and not as described. my quesadilla was dry and lacking flavor and the toppings they had put in it were questionable. Both dishes were topped with artificial guacamole which added to the vileness of both dishes. Overall I am unsure about the freshness of the ingredients. I was very surprised to see this place had a 3.9 rating considering the food was so awful. read more

The satellite diner is what you would expect from a diner. The food is adequate. It's very salty. The coffee is well brewed. The vibe is old school. If I were to recommended to someone, I would be a little bit reluctant only because of all of the sodium other than that, it's a great place and it's fun. I hope you have a great time read more

When I asked for my milk waaaaay after my food came , she acted as if she remembered and was getting it . Well okay ... I asked for a chilled cup for when my milk gets served with my meal . No way should our meals come out an hour + later. 5 tables came after our party sat and received their meal and paid before we even got one order. Our 7 orders were split into 3 tickets. Waitress basically did not our order in. Sorry Satellite Diner, you just lost our business moving forward. read more

Cool ambiance, great music, and my breakfast (omelet) was delicious! My husbands cheeseburger was great, too. My only qualm was how slow the food was to arrive. We came in as a party 10. Part of us sat at one table while my adult children sat at the booth behind us. We all ordered at the same time. It was well over an hour before food was being delivered but it came out one or two orders every 15 minutes with more than half of our party still waiting for food at the hour and a half mark. When staff was questioned they said "you were warned it would take at least 45 min to get your food" ...ok but an hour and a half? My children who were still waiting told the manager "we are done waiting, cancel our order" she said "too late the tickets are up and the foods being made". AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF! My children walked out. I paid $125 for food for 5 people who left...I can't recommend this place. read more

We always love coming to the Satellite. It is a quintessential diner in every aspect. Staff was super friendly as always and there is a pretty good value for the money. The place itself probably hasn't changed since it opened a little tired but still inviting. I've eaten my way up and down the menu and last night it was breakfast. I did the chicken fried steak which used to be excellent but this time the patty was dry & tough. I mean, I still ate it but was not great. I do love that they will do an actual O'Brien potato for the hash browns. Instead of just tossing onions & green peppers on top, they actually caramelize them & integrate them into the browns. One of my favorite spots in downtown Spokane! I've had the chicken fried steak, burgers, and more, but I usually get the breakfast.

Had a super late night dinner here while on a trip with a bunch of teenagers- the food was phenomenal and I don't think I'm ever going to be able to stop thinking about that BLT and the beer-battered fries. Fun mix of diner and bar. I ordered the half deli sandwich with tater tots. The tots were so good with a perfect crispy outside. The sandwich wasn't anything fancy. Just like a basic sandwich you'd make at home. The place is a bit cold, so you may want to bring a sweatshirt. The food was good, but it did take a long time to come out. read more

Compared to The White House Grill, this was night and day provided you know what you're getting. You are getting a greasy hole in the wall diner that makes amazing omelets (last time) and ridiculous concoctions (this time.) I ordered a ridiculous concoction called The Beast. 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, bacon cheeseburger in the middle and lettuce and some dill pickles on the side. With beer battered fries. And onion rings I split with the wife. And a piece of chocolate cream pie. The onion rings are the second best I've ever had (I miss you, Scott's Burgers in Sacramento!) They weren't overcooked, the batter was excellent and thick and they were very, very good. The burger was absolutely ridiculous. I saved half for my breakfast tomorrow morning. Weirdly, it wasn't that unhealthy tasting. It was what you'd think it would be. Grilled cheese sandwich on Texas toast, some very tasty bacon (thick cut,) a bland patty that did the job cooked well. The fries were beer-battered and could have used more flavor overall but were good for what they were. The dill slices were Vlassics but I like that brand. The pie was pre-made but pretty good. Funnily enough, as ridiculous as the burger was, I don't feel as crappy as I did eating the "healthier" turkish stir fry thing I had at White House last night for my roommate's birthday. Plus this was cheaper. Weird how that works. The true night and day was the service. We were in and out and our server was ON! POINT! No waiting for an hour here! I gave her $10 ($5 from my wife and I.) If you have to be downtown for some godawful reason, come to Satellite. Their food is great and their service is even better. read more
