Went there to watch a Saints came & I can dig the atmosphere! The food was good af! The drinks were strong & good..they have a cheesecake egg roll with some friends had, they said it was super good! I had the cheesesteak eggroll with spicy ranch OMG!! They have a Tiger Tea which was pretty good. Strawberry margarita was very sour, I'm nnot use to that..On game days when LSU or Saints make a touchdown they give out free Fireball shots..overall I liked the place, definitely would go again! First off, their happy hour is ALL DAY -- yes, you read that right -- and the prices are unbeatable. Even with new ownership just three days in, the service is still on point and the manager is serious about making sure everyone's taken care of. The kitchen hours are a little different right now (they're figuring things out), but don't worry -- when it's closed, they still hook you up with FREE chili cheese hot dogs (with jalapeños, mustard, and onions if you want). Who does that anymore?! They don't currently have the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls (sad face), but everything else makes up for it. Feeding their own faces and chatting amongst each other instead of attending to customers sitting RIGHT in front of them. 4 customers versus 4 bar staff and NOT ONE of them asked how our food was or if we needed anything after our food was delivered. Let's start with the FREE brunch they do on Sunday mornings. Now, I'm not sure if this is an every week thing, but we went to watch a soccer match. The brunch had everything from eggs to biscuits to sausage to hash browns, and it was really great. Throw on top of that some really well made bloody mary drinks at an awesome price, or mimosas or a few other cocktails, and you have a great morning! The next experience to talk about is when we headed over there after a good night at the HRC - our run club down the street. Service was amazing and super friendly, and the variety of beer was vast. They have a rotating special burger each week. I can't remember exactly what the burger was, but i went with the regular burger. ((This week was a bacon and brie burger - man, I wish I could have made it downtown for that!)) Finally, we went there on a quiet Saturday afternoon, before the business of the evening began. We were pleased with the sandwiches we got, paid with a nice good ole Jucifer. Perfect before a good stroll downtown. All in all, Bengal Tap Room is a refreshing addition to downtown. read more

Stopped in here twice while staying in Baton Rouge. There are a lot of bars but this one was one of the best. Lots of space, a patio, an Awesome Bartender - Dannie (she was great, cool, upbeat fun attitude), and fun people. I love beer and had been to a lot of tap rooms all over Louisiana but this one stands out as the best for the quality of beer. 36 Taps is awesome but more than that - they had great beer. Great IPA's, Pale Ales, Lagers, Locals, Nationals and they had a CBS - Canadian Breakfast Stout that was perfection!! I don't always drink them but this one is off the hook delicious. Dannie is super personable and fun, friendly, appropriate! There were 3 guys visiting and looking for trouble on a Monday night (not a bar's most happening night) and they whooped it up and Dannie danced and had fun with them, which kept them from getting too out of hand - just enough to be fun for everyone. Also, a very nice wine selection and all the cocktails one can ask for. read more

Bengal Tap Room is absolutely one of the most chill bars here in Baton Rouge. They have $5 pitchers of domestic beer on Mondays and $3 glasses of house wine on Thursdays. There are other specials during the week too like $3 mimosas on Sunday. There are TVs along the wall if you want to catch a game. There is a pool table if you want to play with a friend. Outdoor seating is available if you want to get some fresh air. They have some pretty cool craft beers on tap, and their cocktail menu is pretty cool too. They have food and food specials during the week. The bartenders here are the best in Baton Rouge. They cut people off if they drink too much and make sure they get home safe. I love it. read more

I came in to watch the NCAA selection show, and while there are a ton of TVs, the only TV showing any sports was a USL soccer game (Birmingham vs. Tampa Bay, what a matchup!). When I asked the bartender to put it on, he looked at me like I was from outer space. I guess LSU fans are out of luck here, sorry, can't watch Tigers play Florida, we have bowling and MASH reruns to show while the jukebox plays Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo. We ended up here after plans fell through to go next door, and it was a good thing. The men in the party got to get some good beer, and we shared some appetizers, and I tried the burger special. What I wouldn't get again: the spinach and artichoke dip. It was underwhelming, under-seasoned, with what appeared to be store-bought pita chips. I would also pass on the fried pickle spears. They were ok, just average, and I prefer pickle chips. The waffle fries served with the burger were also standard fare. They were seasoned with rock salt that fell to the bottom of the basket and therefore left me with bland fries. What I would get again: the burger special. I believe this rotates but I don't remember the frequency--we had a burger with fried green tomato, bacon and I believe pimiento cheese. It was a flavor explosion and really hit the mark. The meat pies were also freshly fried--be careful to let the filling cool or you will end up with burned taste buds! I was too full to try the wings, but they were really large and looked extremely appetizing. All in all, I was a great experience. It's a pretty extensive menu for a beer pub and the prices are really reasonable for what you get. It was a comfortable atmosphere to sit and listen to music or watch a game. While we don't find ourselves in downtown BR all that often, this is a place worth returning to. read more

I called to ask for a refund and they were not eager to help. The bartender said a manager would have to call me back but they never did. U could soak them in ranch and they would still have this distinct taste of garbage disposal juice Infused with the chicken meat. Excellent Customer Service! We held an event at Bengal Tap Room last week and had great support from the Manager, Montana, in arranging all of our details. Not only the the tap room easy to find, it was the perfect place to hold our pre-game party with plenty of beer and food options. Following our event I accidentally forgot my laptop and didn't realize for several hours until I made it home to Houston! But staff, Tanika and Sara, were a tremendous help packaging it up securely and helping to ship it back to me. They even wrote me a Happy Thanksgiving note! I hope to go back soon!
