Gold Black Sesame Milk Slush & Mango Pomelo Sago!!! I've been curious to try this new boba shop and I will say I was a bit disappointed. I ordered the black sesame slush with boba. The flavor was good but it was not a slushy texture at all and it was just black sesame milk instead of the slush I wanted. As I was drinking it could hear a noise and then when I finished my drink I saw pieces of ice at the bottom of my cup so I already knew they made my drink carelessly. I will say it looked pretty on top with the gold dusted black sesame seeds. The mango pomelo sago did not look like the picture and was more coconut than mango. The mango itself was not sweet and a bit bitter and my mango pieces had vines in them. For the price I'm paying I expect better quality. This afternoon, I drove an hour more to try their milk tea, very disappointed. The service was horrible, a girl with short hair showing her belly button took our order and had terrible attitude. I ordered peach oolong tea first, and when I had a question to ask her, she immediately interrupted me and asked me what percentage of sugar I want. I answered her, I wanted to continue ask the question and she interrupted me again ask me what else I want. I wanted to ask my friend what she wanted to drink, the cashier was very impatient and asked me about the sugar level. Besides the service, the milk tea here is not good. This time, going with my adventurous friend, she got the grape seed cheese slushy, it was so refreshing I had to try the slush menu. I got 4 drinks from this place. 2 were the same drinks and 2 were different types of fruit yakult teas. The strawberry peach sparkling tea was okay, but I wouldn't get it again. It tasted lightly of strawberries. There wasn't much of a peach or tea flavor. There wasn't much carbonation either, which was fine, but I was expecting more flavor in general. We got a strawberry and a mango yakult. I'm pretty sure they use real fruit, cuz the strawberry yakult had a ton of seeds in it. They also tasted like it had real fruit instead of a syrup. Both were alright. Here was my gripe with the drinks. They put aloe or some sort of chewy flavorless balls in the drink. I would have asked them to remove them had I known, but it wasn't in the description. If I were to go back, I'd definitely have them removed. I do like how the drinks aren't overly sweet, but I'm not super eager to go back. I gave 4 stars because I think the drinks are good quality and can see why others would like it. This is a great new boba find in the SGV area! We'll definitely come back for the excellent drinks and beautiful cups! We went on a Saturday afternoon, and was one of the first orders. Right away we were impressed by the store's aesthetics including the wishing tree and traditional style arts throughout the store. We got two drinks from their top menu, and they were definitely worth the drive here. Peach oolong milk tea was beautiful with a hint of peach and the great texture of (I think) popping barley. It's hard to do peach milk tea right, but the peach and oolong flavor came through on this one. My favourite was the burnt caramel cheese milk tea. The caramel top is fragrant and added a layer of complexity to the rich and creamy milk tea. The store is neat and organized, and the staff were friendly and made the drinks quickly. Talked to a woman on the phone Saturday 01/08/2021 at 3:28 I was trying to call to order for pick up but the woman on the phone was dismissing me because they're busy. I tried to order the special boba milk tea, which was my favorite, and she proceeded to tell me that they don't carry special milk tea in their store. She told me, we only have jasmine, oolong, black tea, etc, and none of them are named "special". I proceeded to tell her that I've ordered special mt a few times from the store and it's on your menu. She asked where did I see the menu from. I said yelp. She said don't trust yelp. I was so confused at this point because I've ordered it at the store and it's in their menu AT THE STORE. The person on the phone was trying to make me feel insane by telling me that they don't have their best seller?? She then told me to order online instead. I said ok and hung up. I went ahead and tried to order from the website and guess what? "Online Order Coming Soon". What a way to tell your customer to go screw themselves. A few of my friends and family heard this conversation because it was on speakerphone, and they're as upset as I am. Seriously, you need to train your staff better. Tried BenGongs for the first time for the Yelp Community Event and found it super cute. I wanted to get a drink that can't be easily found anywhere else so I got the tiramisu special milk tea with boba, and in general they had pretty unique menu items. The boba was wayyyyy too soft like there was no chew to it. The tea itself was watered down also. Also it took forever to get my drink. One drink took around 30 minutes but maybe it's because some workers would go on their phones while making the drinks and also they don't call out the order numbers.
