We had a great time at Benihana with Vinny as our cook! Vinny made the time fly and was entertaining. Also, the support staff was extremely helpful and very nice. The food was extremely plentiful and I absolutely loved the fried rice. The place was packed with people so I'd recommend going there ahead of the time you desire to eat.

Pretty standard hibachi restaurant with good times and good food. This must be the new Chuck E. Cheese as we even went on a Monday night to celebrate my nephew's birthday and just about every other table was a birthday celebration as well. Most table and grill areas were filled with kids for birthday celebrations. That being said, it was pretty chaotic inside with kids running around and food all over the floor and loud (to be expected). Our chef was super fun and I think that's one really unique thing about hibachi restaurants as each of them have their own personality and tricks. He was so great with our family and my nephew and we had a lot of fun. The food was just as good as any other one that I've been to and a good portion.

We were in the area celebrating my sister in laws graduation. And my neice picked Benihana for her birthday. The location was easy to find on gps. There is a big Target in the lot.But the parking lot area looked a bit sketchy and I'm glad we were in a big group. We arrived early for our reservations and decided on a few cocktails. This was a separate area with a bar and sushi section. They also had a few mocktail options as well. We ordered cosmopolitan and espresso martini and speciality mocktails. The bartender was friendly and answered our questions about the drinks. He even offered suggestions. The drinks were plenty strong. As soon as our party arrived we sat as a party of eight. Everyone ordered from hibachi option. Our chef was entertaining and even made my mom laugh with his corny jokes. He made sure to highlight the birthday girl all night and I know she loved that! I don't remember his name but we called him Mr. Guapo all night. All and all great experience in not sure if I'd be back unless it was for a celebration.

The service was great! The Chef was amazing and funny and we had a great time! We even got our picture taken, printed out and they put it in a little frame for us! This was my first time here, my friend had been there before, but I was definitely impressed. Prices aren't bad either and the food was EXCELLENT! Thank you all for a great time!

I was dredding to come back from bad experience from last month with burnt food and exorbitant price over but still had $40 gift card that I didnt want to throw away. Happy hour all day at the lounge triggered and here I am. Hoping for the better dining experience. When I walked in at 5 30 pm, it was mostly empty at the lounge. No one was around to greet. You just sit anywhere. Very disorganized and looked dirty. Dirty tables, floors and boxes here and there. See pics. Our waiter was definitely new to this business. He was nice but way he handled things, definitely a newbie Ordered few things. Yes, it's HH menu pricing. Sake was $9 instead of $16. I had a choice of ordering from the HH menu or from the regular ones. While waiting for the food, I can see the bartender fixing an old fashioned drink. She grabs large cube of ice, bare handed. Not once, but twice in a row. How gross! This place definitely needs better management, shaking up things from cleaner restaurant, better food prep and better training. Due to the food taking way too long, manager comped us for the roll and the burger. Ended up paying with a credit card and now I still have $40 gift card. Yikes. Do I need to go back for another dreaded dinner at this lousy place or just throw away the gift card?

Such a fun experience took our daughters friend who had never been & it was truly delightful to see it again brand new through a child eyes. They have a new rewards program a plus!! The food was amazing the show was great & our table mates were a lot of fun. Service was bustling .... Zero complaints

Big score on shrimp because she is the only one that likes them.

The neighborhood that it is in has gone down hill. We had reservations for 6:30 but didn't get seated for almost an hour after that. I do like the family style seating and we had two other couples at our table that were really nice. The chef was fun and we love the style of cooking, we brought our kids for their birthday but with food price increases the quality and amount of food was not worth the $300 bill. This place was always fun and exciting to take a date too or meet friends when you were younger but I think I have aged out of the target market. By all means give them a try but there is some sticker shock at the end of the night.

George was a great chef and the food was delicious and it was awesome to sit with people who don't look like you but aren't afraid to sit at the table with you and talk to one another !!! That's how community should be: have everyone at the table!! The ambiance was fun, happy and inviting! Yah!!

When your kids are requesting to go eat somewhere besides fast food land, you jump at the opportunity in hopes of having a more refined meal. We had an earlier reservation, ended up sitting with another nice family at the table, and had a good time watching the chef parade the food up and down the grill with his many tricks. The menu is lengthy with many add on's so pay attention to what you're ordering as we got hit with additional fees for items we thought were included. Food at its best is a 3.5 out of 5.0, but in all reality most are going for the atmosphere and not the quality of the food.

We thought we made a mistake choosing sushi bar instead of a table because we'll have back issues. Surprisingly, the chairs had a mini back so you could lean back occasionally. And we think our experience was better because the sushi chefs would explain the origin of the fish and all the ingredients they used into each roll and order. We also got a complimentary piece for sitting at the sushi bar which was a light fried yellow tail which was so good. Service is amazing. They're attentive and check in on you often. It does take some time to get your rolls but give its time to digest. From watching the sushi chefs at the bar, they're very precise in how they make each roll. Every roll has similar proportions from the slight wasabi they use to the amount of rice and fish. Everything that we had was amazing. The hamachi and salmon sashimi felt like butter. It just melts in your mouth. The aged toro was so delicious. Even the edamame was just so good. The unagi nigiri is some of the best I've had in the state (the nigri was better than the handroll and I think it's because I love unagi so I love the ratio in nigiri form). The Spicy Tuna Oshizushi was a surprising favorite of the night along with the Crème Fresh Salmon Belly. I could've done without the wagyu but it was good. Every order does come with only 1 so order based on the amount of people that are with your party. Some items we were unsure of like the wagyu so we ordered 1 and shared a bite. Overall, I understand the hype and the reservations. But it was worth it and I'm surprised we can get high quality fish in a landlock state. Of the high end sushi restaurants in CO, Temaki Den is probably my fave.

You won't find fancy sushi here or fusion cooking here, but rather tasty home cooked style classic Japanese dishes. Dishes like Japanese curry, oyakodon, and other donburi and noodle dishes. Having been here multiple times, I cannot recommend this place enough for a homey style meal. No joke, each meal here makes you feel warm inside, like a good home cooked meal. It's comparable to many meals I've had traveling through out real Japan. The flavors are simple, but each dish is well prepared while emphasizing conform over fancy preparation. You just cannot go wrong with any dish here, though I'm partial to the donburi, the green tea soba, and the hot pot. And if the meal is not enough, there is a beautiful garden to enjoy. If you catch it at the right time, the cherry blossom in the spring is beautiful and transport you right to Japan. Overall, Domo is a place that I'm always down to visit. We started with the cucumber salad and shrimp shumai. The cucumber salad was refreshing, but the shrimp shumai had a strong fishy smell and taste that didn't seem very fresh--I couldn't eat more than one. For my entrée, I ordered the nabeyaki soup with ramen noodles and chicken, and it was excellent. The soy-based broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty, and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. Overall, Domo offers a really special atmosphere and a memorable dining experience. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp shumai, but I'd definitely come back to try another ramen flavor, and to see the cats again.

While I was waiting for the tow truck to arrive I had to eat as I skipped lunch and it was 5pm ish when this whole thing happened. When I looked around this restaurant was only a 50 yard away) led me to discover this hidden gem restaurant. What a peculiar discovery indeed!! When I stepped in the restaurant I absolutely had no expectations because all I wanted was food, I mean any food! I explained to the guy who sat me at one of the tables that I'd want my food in a to-go box in case my tow truck would arrive earlier than they had planned. He understood so when my Hibachi Vegetables and 8-piece pan-fried pork gyoza were ready he, of course, put them in a to-go boxes and yet he took both of them out of the bag so I could eat them when he brought them to me. Like I said earlier, I was super hungry so I started to devour the food without wasting a second. The veggies in the Hibachi Vegetables were cooked in a soy sauce based sauce and they were cooked to perfection. Not mushy but not too hard. The right amount of crunchiness was still felt in every bite. They certainly used just the right amount of soy sauce to cook it where nothing was salty at all. Simply a well done dish! The rice underneath the cooked veggies was also the kind of Japanese rice I would want to eat in a dish like this. Two sauces accompanied the dish and the guy said to use them to dip the veggie pieces into them for flavor enhancement. These sauces were true game changer for sure. The pan fried (pork) gyoza comes in 8 pieces and for the price of $8.95, this count is quite generous. This is also a solid dish (quality wise.) Yum! This restaurant is all about Japanese. Some anime characters are seen on walls throughout. They were even playing some Japanese pop songs in the background. I heard some familiar songs I had listened to when I was still living there. This place checks out everything an ideal restaurant should have: a clean dining room, welcoming staff with good prompt service but most of all, quality food.

Lately it feels like a lot of restaurants are charging more while giving less, and it's getting harder to find places that actually care about the customer experience. Unfortunately, this was another one of those experiences. We ordered three side dishes and three drinks, and the bill came out to around $100. Two of the three sides were served cold, the dumplings at least came out hot, but they were pretty mediocre and nothing I'd order again and drinks were extremely over priced. The waitress was fine, no real issues there, but it did feel like the food may have been sitting in the kitchen too long before it hit the table even though the place was empty. At the end of the day, it's hard to justify paying that kind of money for cold, underwhelming food, then feeling awkward about the tip because the experience just wasn't good. I won't be back. If I had known this is what the experience was I would have definitely gone somewhere else. As an added bonus I felt like crap afterwords, I think it was because of poor quality ingredients. My aim in writing these reviews is to highlight the restaurants and businesses that truly take care of their customers, to give people a heads up about the ones that clearly do not prioritize quality or the customer experience, and to express myself in a world where it often feels like there is very little room to speak honestly about paying top dollar for mediocre experiences. Very disappointing.

Always a great experience and just what we hoped for my husband's birthday dinner. We ordered some…read morefavorite appetizers during happy hour and the had our favorite main, okonomiyaki with seafood for our meal. It was loaded with scallops, shrimp and squid. Of course we always take the bonito flakes which arrive dancing on top of the food, to wave in the escaping heat of the fresh seafood omelet. They have a roasted barley tea I love that has no caffeine as made without a decaffeinating process and so different than herbals common in Boulder. It has real substance. As we started to eat our pork gyoza and Ebi shumai we saw a lit candle in some food being carried across the room. Having eaten here baby times over the year, we were surprised as we had never seen this here. The entire restaurant broke in singing happy birthday to someone too far for us to see. As a server was passing our table, I mentioned we were celebrating my husband's birthday too. He said meh!d let someone know. As we were waiting for our dessert later, the owner who we've met before , with one of the servers who was carrying an ice cream mochi with a flaming birthday candle arrived and placed it in front of my husband and all the patrons broke out in sing again! Who knew this was a tradition here? The owner, who is almost always on the floor had an instant camera and too a picture of our table with the candle celebration. He made a copy for us to take home and one for nh husband to sign which will go up on some wall I had never noticed. We'll be sure to check in the walk the next time we are in. It's such a fun place with really good food. Do make a reservation these days. It's always busy, the now are only open Wed- Sat for dinner. As we were leaving on a very cold night, there weee people packed into the little entry way waiting for seats. One woman was shivering as she had just flown in from FL she said, unprepared for the recent shift back to winter today. Shocked me this morning too.

Servers were extremely friendly and they have a button you press when you're ready to order/want the check which was really convenient. Food came out fast. My favorite sushi was probably the salmon nigiri. It was extremely buttery and fresh. Also the eel was great. I wouldn't recommend the maki/rolls as much as the nigiri. They also had a lot of options that weren't sushi like ramen, salad, rice dishes, okonomiyaki, and more. Definitely some menu items you can't get at any Japanese restaurant. I would definitely recommend coming here.

He was fantastic with the kids and very attentive to our table--quick to notice when drinks needed refills or if we needed anything at all. It was probably the best fried rice I've had at any hibachi restaurant in the area. It also wasn't too crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant was very clean as well, which hasn't always been our experience at other hibachi places we've visited. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Went in for sushi (no hibachi) which may have been the problem. It was overpriced, rolls were…read more poorly rolled, and the staff is not properly trained. Despite the high price point, having no soy sauce ramekins, a terrible drink (only ordered a margarita because the other cocktail options are limited), and nonexistent servers- I was just hoping for the food to be correctly brought out and tasty. Nope. Didn't get that either. When they brought the food out, it wasn't what we ordered, and our server vanished. After waiting for a long time, while being very hungry, I ate of one of the pieces of the salmon nigiri (there were 3 of us and only 2 pieces of the correct nigiri- I needed to eat something!). When the server reappeared she was busy on the hibachi side doing something (we were the only table in the entire restaurant), didn't check on us, so I got up to go talk to her about the mix-up. She was VERY confused, but after re-explaining multiple times, she brought us the additional yellowtail nigiri that we originally ordered along with the salmon roll that you can see on the photo I included. After seeing what our (not so cheap) roll looked like, I was pretty much over this place and wanted to just leave. Our bill was high and included the salmon nigiri that we did not order. Once again I had to get up to go talk to the server, and explain the situation despite us having already discussed it. She instantly said, "But you ate it!", and that is what ultimately led to me writing a review rather than just looking ahead and never coming back. At this point, I am arguing with this woman trying to explain that we came to eat a meal, were hungry, couldn't find the server and inevitably ate 1 of 2 pieces of salmon nigiri that we did not order since there were 3 people and only 2 pieces of what we did order. She did not agree with me, so I left it at: we are not paying for the salmon, you can bring me the updated bill. It's rare (for me) to experience a server be so argumentative, and I've never seen sushi so poorly rolled. This place isn't it. I never want to give a business a bad review, but this is unfortunately warranted. Try literally anywhere else as there are multiple other sushi restaurants within 10 minutes of this place.
