I came on a Monday for lunch and it was pretty busy around this time. I made reservations online and had to wait to be seated. They didn't have enough employees for the amount of customers they had, so me and other customers had to wait until one of the communal tables with the grill cleared. Once I sat I down I had the power lunch. This includes a Benihana salad or onion soup, hibachi vegetables and rice, choice of chicken, shrimp, or tofu for $15.95 or filet mignon or NY strip for $19.95. I went with the onion soup and my choice of protein was chicken. From start to finish the food was good. The power lunch is a very reasonable price and only 45 minutes long. Perfect for those that have to return back to work after lunch. The experience is pretty cool as the chef prepares and cooks the meal in front of you. Each person gets to pick how they want their meal cooked. The chefs put on a performance with knife tricks, face paced grilling, etc. I had not been to Benihana since I was in college, but happy to see that the food is as tasty so many years later. They didn't have the salad bc of the parasite that's going around but they made up for it by giving us two soups each. And I love the soup!! This is by far the worst Benihana we have ever been to. It's always something at this location. We came in and asked for the server Jim, and we were told the wait would be 45 minutes. We sat at the bar and waited patiently. After the 45 minutes passed, we were told to move to a table, only to be told once we sat down that we had to wait another 45 minutes. I honestly don't understand why, if we were perfectly fine waiting at the bar, they had to move us to a dirty table just to make us wait another 45 minutes. They could have simply let us continue waiting at the bar. We spoke with the manager, but unfortunately, the experience was still very disappointing. The table was dirty and had old pieces of rice left on it. This location is absolutely not recommended. Went here with family yesterday. Got the hibachi chicken with teriyaki. I ended up getting the spicy sauce instead of the teriyaki, which was okay Chicken was made well. I've been in contact with their loyalty group for weeks now and still was not able to get my 30% discount. My Bill last night was ridiculous $170.00 for two ppl. Drinks was horrible my sister sent hers back then waited over 30 mins before they could bring her gin ( neat). Chef was ok nothing exciting , I ask for the garlic butter and never got it. Had a great experience at Benihana! We started at the bar and received excellent service right from the beginning. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome while we waited for our table. The hibachi experience was just as impressive. The chef was entertaining, the food was cooked perfectly, and the entire team did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. A special shoutout to Antonio, the new General Manager, who took the time to check on guests and make everyone feel welcome. I always ordered the hibachi scallops the size was perfect now they are tiny and the price's have nearly doubled... my husband ordered the steak and colossal shrimp and was only given 3 shrimp with a tiny piece of meat. I've never been to a Benihanas before and I really enjoyed the experience! I went there after my cousins graduation and for my first time I'd definitely recommend people to try it at least once. Although the restaurant was nice, food, service, ambiance, I don't think I'd go back since when the cook is preparing the meals it gets quite smoky and you'll be coughing through it, you'll also leave smelling like food. but for the experience I'd one hundred percent say to give it a try you won't regret it! I will just start by saying The Benihana experience has fallen to a Corporate controlled no frills money take. Sad an once hibachi leader with pride amongst all the rest no longer the best. Expensive with the average meal around $60 then add $7.50 for fried rice $17 drinks and $25 appetizers and a party of 4 be ready to fork out a good $400 to $500 bucks. The service fare, portions tight and the chef show average. Food quality fair they had no salad the night we went so they gave us double soup REALLY. an appetizer per couple would have been more respectable and better presented at a top restaurant but oh well we will not be returning any time soon read more

Honestly the food was good! It was expensive, but I enjoyed the food and experience. What's truly ridiculous is what is charged for the kids. They charged us $22.50 for kids hibachi chicken, $7.0" the hibachi rice, and $6.00 for a kids lemonade for my 1year old grandson. For my granddaughter (4 y.o) we paid $24.50 for kids steak, $7.00 for the side of noodles and $6.00 for a lemonade. Basically you are charged about $40 for kids plus tax and gratuity. It's horrible how much they charge for kids. And of course their portions were kids portions! It's not a family friendly restaurant. read more

The manager " Guerline" was extremely passive aggressive attempting to make me out to be a problem about a wait time like we don't have wait times at every single Benihanas From Miami to Pembroke Pines. She told my friend that the table was being cleaning but when I walked inside she told her " the table is being cleaned" I walked in 30 seconds after and she said " oh yes there's a wait" I asked her how come when she just told my friend about a table being cleaned and I JUST received a call from the store. Guerline the manager, advised me that she " oh we call sometimes to see if the number is working and I don't know what they told you the wait time was but you don't have a reservation in the wait time is 45 minutes. " like huh? Firstly, we waited 20 minutes already. Secondly, you all JUST called me, thirdly, why did you tell my friend " the table is being cleaned" I asked to get some clarity and she kept brining up the fact of no reservation as if I hadn't known that before her. That was not the issue. I asked for the manager she said that she was so I then asked her how do I spell her name she didn't proceeded to repeat her name three times and then went inside of a drawer and said that she will give me a card. As you see there the card that she provided me with says a card from another manager. She attempted to make it about me wanting a phone number. When why would I want that? Lol the fabrication doesn't even make sense.. I didn't proceeded to ask her was the general manager here on duty. She took me directly in my face and responded "no he is not here at the moment" She then responded but saying " I don't know what you're trying to do" . "I'm trying to speak with corporate " was my response. As I walked off she continued speaking raising her voice louder my footsteps receded. I advised her that I was not gonna argue with her as that's not what I was here for. She didn't respond responded back by saying or telling one of the other workers "find someone to escort them out" About two minutes later, the general manager, Max, did come out to speak with me. She advised him that I was complaining about a wait time. I showed him the video. He apologized for her actions and offered a complementary appetizer for the troubles. It's the least that can be done, however I'm forever grateful for anyone attempting to help me resolve an issue. So thank you Max. But Guerline, she needs to be removed asap The Video is down below. I used to love Benihana, but haven't been in a while because my last experience at a different location was pretty negative. I decided to give this location a try after receiving a birthday coupon email. The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean, and it's the typical hibachi multi-course experience. Our chef was very nice and funny, and told beyond just the normal jokes you always hear at hibachi meals. He made the experience great. Everything was delicious, especially the fried rice. The ginger dressing on the salad was awesome as well. Here's why I'm not giving a perfect score: -The waiter asked if we wanted chicken fried rice or veggie, making it seem like either were included. We chose chicken. Neither he nor the menu mentioned that there was a significant upcharge for chicken, so we were really surprised when the bill came. It was extremely disappointing, because the whole point of cooking was for a discounted birthday meal with my family, and it still ended up being super expensive -The prices have risen significantly from what they used to be. I understand inflation is an issue but the portion sizes were pretty small compared to other similarly-priced places-and again, we received an upcharge that we weren't informed of. In this economy and at this time of year that's really hard. Overall, the experience and food were good, but it's really hard to get over the pricing aspect. read more

I love Benihana's I've been going for more than 10 years! But, things need to CHANGE! It's Valentine's Day and what better to do on valentines then go to your favorite restaurant with a loved one? Me and my mom are sitting at the bar. We start to talk about how last year a roach ran right past the bar where we were sitting. I thought well since, it's only the bar and things can get tricky like it being sticky (etc) that's how bugs come. We finally go and sit out hibachi table and we order my mom realizes there is something on the grill I grab my phone go on the camera and zoom in it's a roach laying on its back fighting for it's life! Ramune 10/10 - the Japanese soda was light but very flavorful. A less sugar filled alternative to our regular sodas. Delicious!! Get the grape. Chili shrimp roll - 8/10. The different textures of the fried shrimp, Kani salad, rice and seaweed surprisingly came together really well. I paired it with eel sauce and spicy mayo. The mix of spicy sweet was delicious Splash & Meadow 5/10 - I was a little disappointed with my entree. The rice didn't have that signature Benihana taste, it was missing something. Maybe seasoning? The chefs are so entertaining while preparing the meals, and employees like Sudi help so much to make it a wonderful experience. He spoke very little English and stated he was Cuban?! Anyway, his performance was by far the worst of any previous visit, and I am surprised Benihana has not updated their tired old show: onion ring choo choo, the beating rice heart, the spatula flipping and this chef didn't even flip the shrimp tails into his hat / pocket!!! Also, I ordered the Chicken and Colossal Shrimp special, but the shrimp were the same as the other shrimp included as the appetizer. Basically, I don't recommend this place and will not go there again, maybe not even go back to a Benihana either....
