Honestly the work is good...as it should be from a master plumber…read more The issue I have is the issue I've had with literally every plumber ever. They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least. It is what it is. If I was able to do it myself, I would've. Live and learn Learn a trade kids lol

Because I had previously…read moreused Reliant Plumbing with great success, I chose to trust them again for this major repair. A technician arrived on March 12th and informed me that the main line from my house to the street needed to be replaced. To avoid future issues, I approved a full replacement at a cost of nearly $10,000, which I paid in full immediately. The line replacement was completed, and I was told that the City of Pflugerville would need to conduct an inspection--something Reliant Plumbing would schedule--after which their team would return to backfill the trench. On March 17th, I received a text asking if the city inspection could be scheduled for March 18th. I responded "yes" promptly. After that, I heard nothing. No confirmation, no update--and no one from the city showed up. Concerned, I followed up again on March 19th via text, and then sent an email on March 20th. Both were completely ignored. No acknowledgment, no response, no accountability. On March 23rd, I finally called and spoke with someone who assured me I'd receive a callback from the permit team. Instead, I received a vague automated text confirming an "appointment" with no explanation. When I called back for clarification, I was told it was "probably" just a notification that the city inspection had already happened and that someone would reach out to schedule the backfill. "Probably"? After paying nearly $10,000 upfront, this is the level of communication and professionalism I get? This has been one of the most frustrating and poorly managed service experiences I've ever had. The complete lack of communication, failure to follow through, and inability to provide clear answers is unacceptable--especially for a project of this size and cost. I trusted Reliant Plumbing based on prior experience, but this situation has completely eroded that trust. I would strongly caution others before relying on them for any major work.

Exceptional O & Plumbing Service Experience…read more I highly recommend O & M Plumbing for any plumbing needs. In particular, Chris F. has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism on every project of mine. His attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship set him apart as a truly outstanding plumber. Project Background I recently purchased an older home, full of charm and distinctive bathrooms. However, I encountered a leak in the master shower that required the p-trap under the shower drain to be replaced before new tile work could be completed. My concern was that reconnecting the new p-trap to the antique cast iron drains in the foundation might cause the cast iron to crumble. Chris F.'s Approach and Solutions Chris came to the rescue, using a camera down the drain to evaluate the situation. He explained the difference between what was probable and what was possible, providing two bids: one for the probable good case and one for the possible problem case. Having used Chris before with excellent results, I trusted his methods, which are always the least intrusive and focused on effective access. In the worst-case scenario, Chris would need to cut and excavate a 2' x 2' hole in the foundation around the shower drain, then tunnel no more than five feet under the foundation from that access point to secure a solid connection to the iron drainpipe. In the best-case scenario, he would only need to excavate a 2' x 2' hole around the shower drain to replace and secure the new p-trap. He also showed me pictures of his past work for reassurance. Successful Outcome Fortunately, the best-case and probable case prevailed. While fixing the p-trap, Chris also discovered an unrelated drain leak under the foundation, which he repaired at no extra charge. I felt I received excellent value for the service provided. Professionalism and Work Quality Chris left the work site clean, as he has always done in the past. He and his co-worker collaborated well, using a small and quiet jackhammer designed specifically for plumbing foundation work. The new drain looks beautiful, and I can confidently proceed with the new tile work, knowing that the unseen part of the shower is sound and affordable. Appreciation Thanks to O & M Plumbing for introducing me to Chris F. and Mike. Both are good and considerate professionals, and I am grateful to have them working in my home.

Jack & Josh went up the hill (we really do live on a hill)…read more To fetch a pail of water (my pipe was leaking!) Jack didn't fall down & break his crown (thank goodness- he was truly stellar) And Josh came tumbling after (to assist like the true pro he is!) In all seriousness, we can always count on Cold Is On The Right Plumbing to help with any issues we may have (and there have been many lately!) Everyone is always so professional, friendly and helpful. Jack and Josh spent almost 7 hours here in the heat to get the job done on the same day that I called. They even helped haul away an old refrigerator for me! 5 stars 10/10 no notes!

Great Plumbers (and Pet Sitters)…read more We have used Cold is on the Right plumbing several times in the past for routine work. This time we had a few small jobs to tackle (faucet replacement, garbage disposal replacement). I called and they said they'd have someone out the next day. It was not a rush at all, but every time we have used them it has always been that prompt. The price is always fair and the work is exceptional. Every plumber we have had has been friendly, and offers plumbing related tips and suggestions. This time was no different. Jack was our plumber this time. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable. We were completely satisfied with the work. An hour after he left though the call came. It was Jack. He said "something has happened that I have never had happen before". I thought, "certainly he has left a tool or something behind at our house". He then went on to say "I have one of your chickens". He had left the roll up door on his box truck open while working. We have free range chickens and apparently one of them wanted to check out his truck! Of course not expecting that, when he was done he secured the truck and went to his next job, which was an hour away. We were out of town by then and couldn't do anything. Jack said he had two jobs to finish but would drop the chicken back off afterward. Sure enough, several hours later (and no doubt an exciting adventure for the chicken) Jack dropped off the chicken, and took a photo of her back home. Yet somehow the story was still not over. An hour after that Jack texted again with a picture and said "I got an egg"!!!! Apparently she was so happy with her trip she left him what she could! She was back out the next day, hoping Jack would come back so she could ride along again! This company is first rate. Every time. They do excellent work and will always go above and beyond for their customers. Highly recommended.
