I stopped by on May 27th and spoke with Benjamin to ask about him diagnosing my car. I provided the error code received from AutoZone and Benjamin told me okay I'll call you later or by tomorrow and you can drop the car off so I could look at it. He took a picture of my plates which was weird even when I provided the make and model, etc.The next day May 28th I called him in the morning as my car is not running properly and needs to get diagnosed and Benjamin said I'm in the middle of something and will call you back today and he NEVER called me back. I waited on Friday, May 29th for Benjamin to return my call but he never called. Now it's the weekend and my car is still not diagnosed. Thanks for NOTHING Benjamin and do better and if you want a NEW customer um how about call them back. Taking my money and business elsewhere. read more

Very impressed with Ben. I need a new evaporator Coil and it's an expensive job because you have to remove the entire dash. Most everyone wanted $800 labor plus parts. I found a place that only wanted $600 labor I wanted to use Ben so I went to his shop to see if he would match the price. He did!!!! Ben is an honest person and not looking to make millions off people He also completed the job the same day. Amazing since removing the dash is a long tedious job. My total cost was $800 Labor and parts and vacuuming the system and Freon. Now my AC blows ice cold. I won't go anywhere else now for my auto needs. I was hearing a noise that got a little louder over past month. Wasn't to concerned since I don't drive much out of the area anymore. Melvin at Benjamins drove my car and told me I really shouldn't be driving it because a tire could come off. A friend of mine some months back had that very thing happen. If I could give Benjamin's Automotive a ZERO star review, I would! Terrible customer service, no calls back. I brought my car in to have the motor mounts replaced, it took them TWO MONTHS before they said they finally had the part. When I arrived to pick up my car, they said the part ultimately didn't fit. So I had to wait another TWO months. At this point, they were not giving me any updates on my car. I finally came in to pick it up and take it somewhere else only to find that someone had been hanging out in my car and taking it for joyrides! There was spilled soda stains all over my carpet and dashboard and my mileage had gone up significantly! Don't trust these guys with your car! read more

Best auto repair place I've ever been to. I will take all my vehicles here every time. He's honest, affordable, and he fixes the problem the 1st time around. NO BS and NO SALES PITCH. Its locally owned and they take pride in there work. They don't really do oil changes but if somethings not right with your car take it here before you loose your ass at some dealer or other repair shop. The owners name is on the sign and he's the nicest guy, tell him Brandon sent you by and he'll hook ya up as quick as he can. Called them to check on my vehicle and was told to quit calling so much, I told him I only called 3 times today due to no one answering the phone, he tells me I called him like 20 times??? then tells me he is eating lunch and will get back with me, never heard from him. The next day I have to call several more times to check status of my Truck, again I'm told again I'm eating lunch and I will get back to you, come to find out my Truck hasn't been touched in 3 days and he tells me he is waiting on parts. This place is a lifesaver! So I ran to just a little bit of car trouble on Highway 146 on my way home from work. I looked at this place up on yelp and pull the air. When I called and spoke with with Melvin, he was very good at calming me down and telling me that he would be right out to help me with what was going on with my car. They are so sweet they give you a ride home they took great care of me made sure that I approved of all of the changes that needed to be made to my car which were very minimal and we're very good at recommending what type of future costs and things I would have to have done to my vehicle. Incredible, incredible! I had a problem with my car, popping noises turning, starting, stopping. First repair shop, Cortez Auto Pros, sold me struts & more...didn't fix it. The second, Firestone, sold me a control arm & a quote for strut mounts...didn't fix it. Midas wanted to sell me strut mounts, $600, spent two hours diagnosis but stumped. I passed. Christian Bros wanted to charge me more than $1K quick struts after a ten minute assessment. I passed. I checked in with Benjamin, if I were to buy my own quick struts & provide...how much? I returned and had them do a diagnostic. This took quite awhile (abt 3hrs). He & his mechanic Melvin searched online for related issues & performed a service. Unsure if it fixed it, knowing this noise was driving me nuts, Benjamin and Melvin checked it again, and returned to me. The problem was a stripped bolt for a cross-member. I don't know if it was replaced, rethreaded, or JB-welded. That annoyance was gone. I waited about a month before writing this review because I wanted enough travel time to assess if the repair held. Drove to Corpus and back twice, over some rough roads. No annoying noise. After 18 months of toiling, Benjamin's solved my problem, where a line of auto repair shops had previously failed. read more

My vehicle was at another service shop for 3wks without any repairs, due to the shop owners lack of integrity, honesty and competence.
