Additionally, the asparagus was sitting under a heating lamp too long and had shriveled to the state of a garnish. The waitress, yet again, should have caught this. So in one of the most rare of cases I did not leave tip for her. He commented that the pork was so good that he didn't want anything to take away from the flavor so he didn't use much of the sauce.Neither of us was able to eat even half of our meals because the portions are so large. We had ordered beef empanadas which came to the table after we had started our meals. They were fresh and super hot so we kept eating our main entrees until the empanadas cooled down. By that time, we were already full from our entrees so we each had a couple of bites just to try the empanadas while they were fresh. The dough was so good and perfectly flaky and the filling was delicious. It was served with a sauce on the side but it didn't need it. In our opinions, none of the sauces were necessary. And we love sauces! Seriously, their food is so good on its own. We had 3 boxes to go and I'm pretty certain we'll get 2 more meals each from our leftovers. You won't regret giving this place a try! Prices are reasonable for the large portions they offer. They open at 7:00 during the week. I'm looking forward to trying their breakfast and Cuban coffee! Parking is on the grass on the side of the building. They host a car show on the 3rd Saturday of every month year round. They said last month 45 cars showed up. Since the restaurant is only open Monday through Friday, I took the opportunity to stop by. We ordered a shrimp po' boy with fries, catfish with fries and grits, and a kids' chicken finger plate with fries. Unfortunately, the food was pretty bland and lacked the flavor I expected from a Cajun restaurant. I would give the food a 5/10. Everything was hot and fresh, but there was very little seasoning or flavor. There was also an issue with the shrimp po' boy. It was specifically requested without sauce, with the sauce on the side, but it was still prepared with sauce. Instead of simply remaking the sandwich correctly, we were asked if it was okay as is, which made it feel like we were being encouraged not to have it remade despite the mistake. Everyone's experience can be different, and this just happened to be my experience.
