Bennett's was highly recommended to us by local friends and a variety of online searches. We loved being able to join the wait list. However we still had to wait once our party was called. My husband and I both ordered the pork salad and we split the combo appetizer. The pork was good but most everything else was lacking in flavor. My mother had the buffalo wings and enjoyed them. My dad had the burger and enjoyed it as well. Our order came out wrong in the beginning and was mixed with someone else's, but our server made it right. It's your traditional bbq restaurant, atmosphere and all. It was good to try but I'm not sure I'll be back.

Best BBQ in Pigeon Forge (close-ish to Dollywood!) Really nice, Southern hospitality. Really good fried pickles appetizer - get at least one for the table. The BBQ platters are the best deal - a garlic biscuit and 2 sides. Yum.

This is a place I'd been looking forward since before I began this year's vacation. I had heard about this spot the night before flying down from Connecticut, so of course I've been wanting to come and review this spot. Upon arrival, the first thing I had noticed is that you have to park in the back. That's where Bennett's has their parking for some reason. It can be a bit of a challenging walk if you have disabilities, but still quite doable. Nevertheless, this is a pretty famous spot for Pigeon Forge BBQ, and by the time we had entered Sevier County, I was already craving BBQ. We were actually supposed to meet up with some other people there, but it never quite panned out, so it was just me, my brother, my dad, and my stepmom again. Group of 4. Oh, and if you want to bring pets, only service animals are allowed, so don't try to bring Fido in just because you want to look for doggie treats. When coming in, I had noticed the floors to be a bit slippery. Like, what did they coat the floors with? Crisco? And no, it's not an issue with my shoes. They may be new, but I'd been wearing Merrell hikers for years and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have good grip. They're great for walking, so if I find the floor to be slippery, that's a them problem in this case, not a me problem. That said, everything was easy to find, and we appreciated the menus being given to us immediately. They also nail the ambiance of a Southern BBQ Pit which I find to be much appreciated. Out of the party, I was the only one who got burnt ends. Everyone else had brisket. They didn't have collard greens today, so my brother had to settle for green beans. Between the four of us, our sides included Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, and green beans, and we each got one garlic biscuit as part of our orders. I was also the only one to get an alcoholic drink this time around, that being the Hunch Punch Cooler. I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit nervous trying the drink, but. not because of the alcohol. It's because it contains Starry, and the last time I ordered a bottle of Starry, it tried to come out my nose. No other soda I've ever drank did this. So yeah, I was not a fan of the change from Sierra Mist to Starry. That being said, the drink itself I was actually able to hold down much better. Honestly, I feel like the alcohol may have had something to do with it, but the components of the drink also helped make this an enjoyable drink. Yeah, the Hunch Punch Cooler is still worth a try even if you've had less than stellar experiences with any of the ingredients that go in it. I thought my burnt ends were good, and the Mac and cheese and Cole slaw were good sides too. My whole meal was tasty, but I think adding Mustard's Last Stand helped elevate the flavor of the burnt ends. If I'm being honest, I regret not getting a bottle of the mustard sauce to take home. I did get a chance to try the brisket and green bean too. The brisket was good, but I do agree it was a tad dry. Again, that mustard worked miracles on it. The green bean was good enough that I could see myself grabbing it as a side if I were to come here in the future. It's not the best green bean order I've ever tasted though. Service was pretty decent too. Nothing bad, but nothing that would make me say "AMG MAKE THIS GUY CEO RIGHT THIS SECOND". He was fine. No impact on the rating either which way. At the end of the day, it's good BBQ. It's not gonna rank as my favorite all by itself, but it's good, and the Mustard's Last Stand does a great job elevating the food. Definitely worth trying on a trip to Pigeon Forge.

This place was recommended via an article that said Best BBq in Pigeon Forge. Well since we have not been to any other BBQ in town its just going to be rated against all of the ones I have been too. The highs: I could order online, price seemed decent, pick up with easy. $43 with tip for the Texas sampler which was all the meats plus two sides and we added on a banana pudding. The sauce was my favorite part - I would buy a jar. The brisket was good - juicy had a hint of smoke. The jalapeño sausage had a nice chew with a snappy skin and a bit of a kick. The ok: The chicken had a nice smoke flavor but a bit on the dry side. The pulled pork again nice smoke and flavor - but dry. The wouldn't order again: pork ribs - fall off the bone because they were dry and way overcooked. The biscuits- dry. The corn - disgusting- overcooked- greasy. The banana pudding ($5) - flavor was sweet but pudding was grainy. I would go back for the sauce and the brisket. The portion size of the Texas sampler would feedback hungry person. I don't eat much so I only ate a bite or two - If yiu had two very hungry people might want to add something additional on. The man picked it uo at 6pm on a Friday and it wasn't busy so I think the claims of best bbq are very subjective as all food is. One last thing I totally forgot - the potato salad - not bad but obviously totally forgettable.

After reading reviews we decided on Bennett's for dinner on a Thursday evening, we got promptly seated, Gary was our waiter, we got our drinks and ordered the deep fried hard boiled eggs ... they are excellent!!! Be sure to add their relish to them it enhances the taste, it is not too sweet or sour and helps balance the flavors. We both got the burnt ends meal, pretty good and would recommend them, Mac and cheese is really good, sweet potato was a little small but very flavorful, the rolls are really tasty, the BBQ beans are ok not bad but not great a little to tomato / sauce taste for me, that's a personal choice. Overall a great stop for dinner.

Good, not special, barbecue. Ribs were tasty, but overcooked, and the barbecue sauce was very ordinary, lacked any kind of pop/zing. Green beans were overcooked also, but were tasty. Collard greens were very bland. Unfortunately, the roll/biscuit was. "meh" too. Seating hostess was very nice and I was seated promptly after a very short wait. Server was very nice also. Nice atmosphere. Don't know the other barbecue places in this town so can't say if I would come back and try this place again. Reasonable prices, particularly in this overly touristy city.

I love this place! It is a very homey, cozy environment and I enjoy their food so much! The servers are truly kind. The food is fresh and delicious. I tried their smoked sausage sandwich, and it was divine. I am used to staying at the motel near it, so it is also a convenient bite to eat. I most recently tried the spicy brisket Philly, it was great!

    Lunch 3 meat 2 sides $20

We ordered from the lunch menu, a choice of 3 meats and 2 sides, brisket, baby back ribs, Jalapeño Sausage, baked beans, and fries for $20. It was good but nothing great, but a good value enough for 2 people to share. The brisket was almost to tender, and didn't seem freshly made. The two ribs were small fall off the bone but tasty, and the serving of Sausage was way small. The beans were good, the fries were plain and not right out of the fryer. With all the choices of restaurant in Pigeon Forge, I probably wouldn't come back. When I eat out, I want it to be memorable.

While visiting Pigeon Forge? I asked a local for their Favorite BBQ spot.Quite a few folk recommended Bennett's! I Love when you can Enjoy the Aroma of BBQ from the Parking lot!! The place was jumping with Good Music ( Frankie Beverly & Maze! RIP FRANKIE) & Plenty of Folk Enjoying Good Food! We were Hungry! So, we ordered appetizers & Combo platters for each of Us! Now, 3 Women of a " Particular " age should've known better! But Hey..we are on vacation & there was a Fridge & Microwave in our hotel room! We had Fried Pickles, deviled , & Wings ( all very good) The Ribs, pulled pork, brisket & chicken were tender, flavorful & smokey! I really enjoyed the variety of Sauces available to add. I will be ordering the Yummy Mustard base sauce. The staff were Friendly & Helpful! Good Choice & a Fun time! And yes We had plenty to take back to hotel for another feast the following evening!

I didn't particularly care for the food. The ribs were not seasoned. But the atmosphere was ok.

I got the lunch special, which came with one pork chop. I polished it off. I believe the dinner entree comes with two! Luckies! The fried green tomatoes were also awesome, and so was the shrimp and grits which was a "lighter" version with the veggies and tomato base in the grits. The lunch specials are a steal and a healthy portion size too. Available every day 11am-4pm. Complimentary freshly baked bread served warm upon request. We had high hopes for the pies and ordered the seasonal lemonade pie. It was meh. We would pass on this one. Heather was our server and she was great! We walked in around 3pm on a Saturday and were told it'd be maybe a ten minute wait but then got a text as soon as we sat down that a table was ready! There's a free parking lot in the Old Mill area and overflow parking down the street too. GET THE PORK CHOP!

I ordered cheese curds as a starter. They taste greatz kinda like small mozzarella stick nuggets. We ordered four plate: grilled cheese, plain cheeseburger, buffalo chicken sandwich, and B.E.L.T. For once in Pigeon Forge, I have ate something that actually tasted distinguishable. If you blind-folded me and had me take a bite out of different burgers from different burger joints, I could guess this one with no hesitation. However, one notable throw-off i had was that the burger had a weird aftertaste of tuna. I ordered the smash burger and it had the perfect amount of grease that doesn't drench you, but keeps up with freshness and taste. And the reason I wanted to write this review was for the french fries. Tired of soggy fries? This place puts the FRY in french fries. They maintained a delicious level of crunch and crisp (if that's your gusto) and didn't have that same refrigerator taste. I also ordered cheese curds and they had the most amazing cheese pull and tasted great! The service was excellent too, unlike some servers, they don't abandon you and they keep up with you and refills / clearing the table. If there's anything I appreciate more, it's waiters and waitresses that (even if they don't) act like they cherish their job! And if you yearn for a setting that makes you in the mood for adventure.. or a bear lover.. this place has attracting visuals so you aren't trapped in a minimalist setting. Overall, if you're up for trying new flavors and advancing your taste buds' vocabulary, I recommend The Fat Bear Family Tavern!
