Quaint restaurant in the heart of Pigeon Forge. Came here based on a recommendation from a friend, who used to live locally, and it did not disappoint. The portions are HUGE- so consider splitting a meal. Everything was cooked well, and we enjoyed the various sauces provided. Especially the "Rowdy Sauce" and the mustard sauce- which I would have never thought to try without their recommendation. Our only regret is not being able to finish our plates. Food was terrible, I had grilled chicken breast, so dry I couldn't cut it with a kni, butter on my baked potato tasted like it was old. Skip if you can. Came in at 2pm, restaurant wasn't even full, but took them 10min to sit us. It's sit down and order type of bbq. After we ordered, 50min later food still not delivered to our table. Entire restaurant wasn't even full, only about 30% occupied. Aren't bbq already smoked up and ready to serve with condiment that's cooked as well? Ordered the half ribs and half brisket, brisket were as dry as it could be as the jerky. Ribs are ok, all sauce on the table are water down, except house sauce are a little bit thicker. This place is hands down the best bbq everyone in my family loved it. Great beef brisket, Amazing pulled pork, Fabulous ribs, the sides were kicking too. We enjoyed the baked beans and the coleslaw the most but the kids say the fries were great too. We opted for Pork nachos as appetizer and they were out of this world. Started off with the nachos which were good, nothing outstanding but they were tasty. The salsa that comes with it is also very good! Got the big combo with 3 meats and 2 sides..I got brisket (super good), pulled pork (very good), and the smoked sausage (also good). The biscuits aren't terrible but i wouldn't order a basket of them, the spicy macaroni is good, got a bit of spice to them but not actually hot. Ribs were tender and said to be very good. i'd maybe give this place 2.5 stars overall we were told it'd be a 30 minute wait.. 55 minutes later they called us. 18 parties were called ahead of us (we were told it's because they checked in online and/or they were smaller parties). the food was what you'd expect from a touristy bbq spot. not impressive. some things were better than others. the collard greens were actually pretty tasty. anyone who gives this place 5 stars is either an idiot, or knows nothing about bbq. this place isn't cheap. they charge $30 for a rack of ribs. $9 for drinks. Our family (husband & wife 4 kids) went to Bennetts for dinner an it was absolutely horrible 2 children got the big kids chicken tender an fries one child got pulled pork an fries the other ta corndog an fries. My husband got the texan sampler $28 an we shared. it was horrible the chicken was so dry we couldn't chew it, the ribs had no taste very bland the brisket was way over cooked it looked like a well done steak, the bbq was very greasy and slimy full of fat! With that being said when left our platter that we shared was still full ot was only picked at. $120 for Chef Bordee mac n cheese!!! Disgusting doesnt even deserve 1 star. read more

The service is amazing (Jay is great!), the restaurant is clean and the food is, overall, great. The highlight of my meal was the pork bbq. Clearly the star of the show. The ribs were a little tougher than I would have liked, the chicken was perfect, and the brisket was drier than it should have been with little to no bend (over cooked). As a chef, I can attest to how hard it is to hot-hold a good brisket, so it came down to flavor for me on that one. The flavor of the brisket was probably one of the best that I have ever had. Generous portions, the sides complement each item individually and balance the meal out. I highly recommend this place. read more

Had Ribs with Collard Greens and Potato Salad. EXCELLENT I recommend the Collards very highly. I could have made a meal of those alone. The people that work there are so friendly and nice. Awesome bbq! Every time we drove by the smells got our attention so we finally caved. It's a little pricey but what you would expect to pay for bbq. An absolute must try is the deep fried deviled eggs. We got the sampler and the ribs were the best. When back we will likely go with the ribs. Generally speaking I'm not a huge fan of chain BBQ joints and this place proved to be rather disappointing. The restaurant looked nice from the outside to the inside. Service was subpar and the food was awful. I ordered BBQ sampler. Baby back ribs---super dry, brisket-----very dry, pulled pork was---a little dry. I opted for the add on pork shank which my server told me was "fall off the bone" tender and delicious. It too was hard and dry. To be honest, the two items I really enjoyed the most were the iced tea and mac&cheese---- which was Stouffers. Like I said I'm not a huge fan of chain BBQ To me BBQ is something best eaten when it's first off the smoker, grill, or however it's cooked. This is probably why my meal was really crappy. Finally, my waiter placed the bill on the table before we were even halfway done eating. No mention of dessert, no asking of how our meal was, it's as if he knew we were dissatisfied and gave up. No offer of a discount next time, no offer of a free dessert. Nothing but a check and he walked away. This place (allegedly) prides itself on its feedback cards but there none to be found. I think I know why. My wife and I dropped $80 including tip. I will never go back and warn others to stay away. read more

We were excited to try BBQ while visiting TN and this place was just ok. As other reviews mentioned, the portions are very small for BBQ and was somewhat dry. There is also not a full bar at the Pigeon Forge location, just beer and a couple of moonshine drinks. Our server seemed to be having a rough night so wasn't super friendly or helpful. Our experience, disappointed. Service was great. We ordered a sampler platter and was looking forward to some good smoked meats. We love a good BBQ place, especially if it's better than mine. The disappointment was that most of the meats we had were over cooked and dry. BBQ sauce did not help. The smoked sausage was great. We took the chicken and ribs home, only to throw them away. My hope is that they had an off day. We will try again sometime. We always give a restaurant two tries. read more

We ordered a variety of the BBQ/food options. The coleslaw and potato salad were good and the jalapeño sausage was delicious. The mac and cheese was overcooked and flavorless. The brisket, pulled pork, and chicken were dry. Our waiter lacked personality, never asked how our food was and didn't thank us for coming. His name was Kevin. Other wait staff seemed friendly just not our waiter. For dessert we got peach cobbler which was absolutely disgusting. Would not go back or recommend. read more

An amazing assortment of BBQ. You will not go wrong with getting their brisket or burnt ends. But honestly it all tasted great. Their loaded baked potato included a heap of pulled pork which really gave it a unique flavor. Glad I tried this. The most unique item on their menu was the deep fried deviled eggs. Be sure to try these as I doubt you'll find them anywhere else. They tasted great by themselves but were also a treat dipped into the included relish sauce. Service and location was awesome. I've never been to a BBQ joint that doesn't know how to make burnt ends. High vinegar low flavor sauce and zero char on the chopped up mess they brought to the table. Last I checked, burnt ends were supposed to be squares with char and not resemble pulled beef. Lesson learned. Awful. Sent it back and went hungry. Bbq combo, burnt ends and the fixings! Well I was looking for exceptional pit bbq and I found it. I had the combo platter everything was cooked correctly and flavor profiles were very good. My wife had the burnt ends which can easily be tough and dry but these weren't, smoke flavor persisted the meats but did not overwhelm the natural meat flavor. The sides were good as well, I would not hesitate to send anyone here for quality bbq. Well done! The wait staff were very attentive and timely. A quality experience and a good price. I visited this restaurant on 13AUG22. Our waitress for the night was Mia. Let me start this review off by saying Mia was so awesome, pleasant, and transparent. This woman knew how to handle how to take care of her customers! She told us from the beginning that there would be a delay in our meal because the kitchen had several online orders. She visited our table multiple times from ordering our food up until the food arrived to make sure we were good, which isn't common for a waitress to do in my experience. The food was also exceptional to top off my dinning experience. The chicken was so juicy, bitting into it was akin to bitting into a ripe apple. The barbecue sauce was also top notch. The mustard-based potato salad was also very tasty. I will be coming back, and I will be requesting Mia if she's still there. read more

You can tell she is upset she has to deal with it. No eye contact and makes you feel like they could care less about your experience. BBQ seemed to be really hit and miss in Gatlinburg/ Pigeon forge, so after checking reviews I settled in Bennett's. They had 2 chicken options: Grilled chicken breast and the quarter chicken (smoked). You want the smoked one for sure. It was cooked well, and had a nice flavor.
