I stop here often when I'm craving something quick and easy. The portions are decent and the prices reasonable. The meals come out fairly quick and you can sit down or take out. The meal prices are comparable to most places that serve the same type of what I consider a semi fast food restaurant. The food isn't top notch, but it's pretty good and a solid choice for quick and easy and to tame your sushi or Asian food cravings. I come by here around once a week to get the $9.99 katsu bowl(price as of Winter of 2023). They give a really good portion of chicken and sauce and it tastes pretty good. Definitely worth the money. Definitely the worst sushi I've had in years. The quality was terrible but the worst part is how shamelessly cheap they are. Overcharging for the skimpiest portions. The unagi bowl cost $10 and came with a laughably pathetic little piece of unagi. I should've just paid $5 for the 2 pc unagi nigiri... the unagi "bowl" just turned out to be the same thing with a whole bowl of rice. The salmon bowl was similarly sad. The menu didn't clarify that it was going to be salmon teriyaki or whatever it was that we got. I was expecting raw salmon over rice... my mistake for having any expectations for this place. The caterpillar roll... well just look at the photo I attached. Can you find the unagi? Because all I found was a stain of unagi sauce in the corner of the roll lol. The yellowtail was both warm and dried out, like it had been sitting in the open for far too long. Let us pray that I don't get food poisoning. Oh yeah and they provided no wasabi or ginger!! Stopped here tonight on a whim and was pleasantly surprised with how fresh the food was. Everything I ordered was delicious and high quality. I got the bento box with teriyaki chicken and a California roll. It comes with soup, salad and gyoza. The place seemed very clean and well kept. I live close by and one day my girlfriend and I decided to have a dinner date one night to some place nearby. When we first arrived it was a bit of a shock to see how well decorated and welcoming Bento Box was, "this restaurant is this close to us?!" I remember thinking. We both agreed to come to Bento Box more often not only because of the fact that it's so close to home, but for the simple reason that they provided service, if not even better, than what you would expect from a big name restaurant chain. Been coming here for 2 years! I absolutely LOVE this place and I will always recommend it to others. The atmosphere and overall energy of this place is amazing, and the music never fails. (Seriously, some of the best songs I've ever heard.) I've been getting the steak udon soup and it has stayed consistent with its flavor and their portions. I've recently been getting their fried rice, and oh my GOODNESS. The flavor is amazing and it's perfectly cooked. The chicken and steak are my go-to's. The service is amazing as well! I have been a customer here since opening day. For a long time, they were the only sushi place around. The quality has deteriorated over the years. I now frequent other sushi places, most notably Ralph's grocery across the street. The sushi chef is great and will make to order anything I want. I've eaten at this place many times before and never experienced this type of incident. All I can think of is the seafood was not fresh and possibly old. I started frequenting this restaurant during quarantine because they are local & deliver with DoorDash. I then started picking up because I wanted to get out of the house. They have everything you could want from a Japanese restaurant: bento box, ramen, poke, and of course fresh sushi! Their prices are very reasonable and food is always fresh. Whenever I pick up my food they are friendly and the place is kept clean. Everyone has a mask when I pick up and masks are required for all customers. Currently it is take out or delivery only. A quick internet search for food spots in the area helped us find BentonBox. 3 teriyaki chicken bowls, a CA roll, and a poke bowl later; we had our last minute dinner for about $35 in 15min. Food was fresh and flavorful. The bowls did not have much teriyaki sauce and we weren't offered extra (and didn't think to ask having never been before). The poke bowl is a hodgepodge of all the normal poke stuff, but it comes as is. I guess you could specify what you want or don't, but again I didn't ask being our 1st time there. The CA roll was excellent, as well as the miso soup that came with the poke bowl. Just right- not too salty but lots of fresh flavor. We'll go back and ask about the minor stuff we missed on the first time. The place was busy as people were waiting for their orders inside and phone orders were rolling in. New in town and decided to try this place. Ordered a sashimi salad, jalapeño poppers and gyoza. I have to say that out of the three the sashimi salad was the worse by far. When I opened the salad container I could barely make find the sashimi, I thought it was hidden underneath the vast amount of greens, but I was wrong.
