Shout out to Sherry C's review, there's not really anything more I can say about the food quality here. My experience wasn't marred by busy crowds, in fact, I walked in just after the Cravings food court opened and was the sole customer at this restaurant. Sure, the beer bar was happening behind me, but I was especially glad to finally eat here before shopping next door at 99 Ranch Market and Costco. The menu has lots of little ways to expand and explore, but their fixed price handroll meals are really good. Either 5 or 6 rolls ($25/30 respectively) are already excellent values for the variety, far better than the typical 'chef's choice' at most sushi restaurants. I overlooked the best deal, however, which has the same variety as the 6pc meal, with the addition of miso soup and seaweed salad. Miso soup and la carte is only $2.50, but that punctuates why I should have read deeper into the remarkably compact menu. Nonetheless, my chef was Udi, who was very nice and careful with the assembly of all 6 rolls. My first two were the salmon and toro, the latter melts in the mouth, and the former illustrated the texture of the fish and special nori sheets they select for a unique experience. Other rolls came out including scallops, yellowtail, blue crab, and lobster with its light mayonnaise sauce. Absolutely delicious! Tried to handroll by Zeppin a few weeks ago. We ordered the 6 hand roll set with Toro, Yellowtail, scallop, crab, salmon, and lobster. I got it to-go which probably messed up the overall experience as they say to eat it within 10 seconds of being give. I went today cos I was craving handrolls. Although there were no customers, the server at Zeppin was able to help & serve me. I did the 4 handroll set - which consisted of salmon, yellowtail, bay scallops, and crab handrolls. I wasn't feeling the crab and asked if I could substitute it. The server was happy to do so and I asked if I could replace it with salmon. The filling of the handrolls were okay. I wish they could have been more seafood filling. It's does have tiny lil mushrooms which is nice. They only have yellowtail carpaccio. The sauce is ok as well. We tried the spicy tuna rice bowl. Comes with spicy tuna, seaweed salad, and pickled cucumbers. It was good, but if you're a sauce person, ask for sauce in the side as it comes bare. My husband got the salmon handroll which he said was good. The service was a little slow. They didn't even ask if we would like water and had to wait around a bit for them to address our check. Received a recommendation from some friends about this spot in the cravings food hall and I'm glad I gave it a try! A really solid place for some sushi/handrolls. My wife and I got the 6 piece set along with the Zeppin set as well as an extra unagi roll. All of the rolls were really good! My favorites were the unagi and the yellowtail. All of the fish tasted really fresh and the rice in the rolls was yummy as well. As for the sides, they give a big portion and were good, but there was a bit too much salt in the miso soup and seaweed salad. The area/stall was clean and the service was amazing! I forgot to get pics of each of my hand rolls but I did the set of 6 and I thought it was such a great deal. I'm so happy we have a hand roll place in eastvale that actually tastes great. The service was great and our server was nice and super quick. As soon as we would finish a roll he'd already have our next roll prepared. It's a cute spot even for a date or catching up. I ordered the 6 Handroll Set with Miso Soup and Seaweed Salad ($34), which came with Toro, Bay Scallop, Crab, Salmon, Yellowtail and Lobster. I also added 3 Eel Handrolls ($5.75 each). The miso soup was delicious and I loved the fresh mushrooms in it. The seaweed salad was fresh and they have plenty. The handrolls were delicious, especially the eel (unagi). The place is clean and they have several chairs around this "bar" style restaurant. The food hall itself has many seating throughout, if you don't want to dine in front of the staff. Came here the other day around lunch time. The entire food spot was pretty empty but wanted to try this place that sits in the middle. Got the 6 Roll deal, im not a salmon fan so they double the albacore for me. When it came to the shell fish options of the set, for me it was a bit too much mayo or kewpie mayo for my taste but still rating it higher for the seaweed salad and service as well as the ratio of rice to meat. It is recommended to eat each hand roll fresh, as each one is created at a good pace. I'd missed out on checking this place out with some friends a couple weeks ago, but being in the area today, I decided to go ahead and check it out for myself! Cute, quaint little sushi bar, with all bar seating so you can watch your food being made. I wasn't greeted right away, and walked around to the other side where I asked if they were open and told they were, and to sit anywhere I wanted. I was given a menu and pencil to make my selections. After I filled it out and turned it in, I was informed they were out of the toro carpaccio. I was pretty bummed about that because my friends said that was a must try. I was able to get the salmon belly carpaccio, the yellowtail carpaccio and a crab handroll. Both carpaccio dishes were excellent! I'll definitely have to come back to try the toro carpaccio. The crab handroll was tasty as well, but I'm honestly not the biggest fan of handrolls in general, so if that's not your thing, this may not be the best option for you. Handroll located inside the Food Hall is an extension of Zeppin. I met some friends here and glad we tried this new place! The concept is new to me. You sit at a bar, facing the sushi chefs. Getting their attention can be hard at times. You get your rolls one at a time. They place it on a wooden tray. So fancy! I ordered individual handrolls and an appetizer. The toro, eel and salmon handrolls were ok. I felt the rice overpowered the fish. I also ordered the scallops hand roll. That was by far my favorite Handroll! The scallops were tender. The appetizer Toro Carpaccio comes out with a large circular ceramic bowl. The presentation was fire! The toro was buttery. The salmon roe on top was divine. Plus they added edible flowers on it. To Garet and the Cosmo Dining Group team, and for anyone reading these reviews, I'm genuinely worried about people getting sick. At this location, we watched staff handle phones, the register, cash, and other surfaces, then go straight back to making handrolls with the same gloves, with no visible handwashing or glove changes the entire time. Our water cups were dirty, the sashimi didn't taste fresh, and the "crab" hand roll tasted like imitation/frozen crab even though the menu made it sound like real crab and properly prepared. For a place serving raw fish, that's alarming. After posting my review, I went back and read more of the recent 1-star reviews for this restaurant. Over months, different customers describe the exact same things: dirty items, cross-contamination, gloves used for payment and then food, and almost no handwashing. Your replies keep saying this is "unacceptable" and will be fixed "immediately," yet the same issues keep showing up in new reviews. What worries me even more is that when I looked at your other concept, Boiling World, I found multiple reviews over several years also mentioning dirty utensils, unsanitary food prep, and poor cleanliness. That makes it feel less like one store having a bad night and more like a deeper problem with training, standards, and priorities across the whole company. This isn't about a free meal or being picky. When you serve raw fish and shared hotpot, poor hygiene and dirty equipment can lead to real foodborne illness or parasites. I truly hope you'll look in the mirror as a company and choose to invest in real food-safety training, strict hygiene enforcement, and honest menu practices--not just polished public apologies. Because of what I saw myself and what so many other guests have reported at your locations, I do not feel safe eating here or at any of your other restaurants right now. My rating is mostly based on the taste and atmosphere from this handroll bar is compared to its predecessor. The new team working here were super attentive and nice, but to be honest they look like they didn't want to be there. The most emotion I got was when they thought they skipped a roll for us (They didn't and they were super cute about it). Other than that one moment, it felt like they were just on autopilot. It's not just a one time thing, we pass by multiple times and they seemed to feel zoned out each time. Compared to the old crew who worked there, the old crew had a lot of fun working with each other. Another difference I didn't really like about the change in the menu is while they still give you delicious handrolls, it was weird to bite into the tuna and salmon and find yourself just eating them in a paste version. Usually salmon or tuna are cut into cubes before being rolled up, but this place makes them into a paste to slab onto the middle. It felt weird to not chew the filling. We also watched them make it by scooping up rice straight from the cooker, so it didn't have that slightly sweet taste like the hand rolls previously here. It was just straight rice from the cooker that wasn't seasoned, which doesn't help when there's mostly rice in the roll now. I will say though the scallop, crab and lobster were the best rolls in the combo we chose and were well worth it because they actually had chunks in there and were creamy enough to supplement the plain rice. Salmon belly carpaccio I'd also recommend since it had a nice zesty kick to it and was very refreshing. Overall, it was okay. It's not as good as its predecessor and doesn't really stand out as a handroll bar. But it does give you the satisfaction if you are really craving handrolls and is located in a food hall so you don't have to wander around much after for dessert. read more

It is a counter inside of the Crave Food hall. - The service was good, although the sushi maker/server got there a little after the 11 am opening time. Overall, a great spot for handrolls. My wife and I love handrolls especially like places where they serve you at the bar. After coming to handroll by zeppin, I can definitely say that it is almost on par with the other handroll goliaths like Kazunori and Rol. The area is definitely new. This is located in a food hall right next to 99 Ranch and has a lot of other dining spots in the whole plaza. It's so cool to see how much Eastvale is growing. The staff were super nice and were very sociable, even telling us some of the good spots to eat in the area. For the handrolls, we ordered the $30 for 6. They all tasted great and the rolls came out quickly. The rice does come out warm with the crispy nori. However, I do wish they would add some vinegar to make it sushi rice instead of regular rice. Otherwise, this would have been a 5/5. The food hall was pretty empty for a lunch on a Sunday. It was clean so we do appreciate that. I've never been to a Handroll place before so this was my first time and now I'm afraid another spot won't top it. Eddie was the one that prepared our food & his service was amazing! While getting serving by private chef. The chef would make another one after we finished the first one , to keep the nori crunchy. I got there with my friends and we tried the 6 set for 30$ that include toro, yellowtail, salmon, bay scallop, snow crap, and lobster. Overall, the top 3 of my favorites are 1. Lobster 2. Toro 3. Snow crab I think the price is quite affordable. The places is small but clean. They also have 34$ which is you can get extra cucumber salad and miso soup. I think they only have dine-in only. Our visit last night was really disappointing. The yellowtail carpaccio had a strong, unpleasant "fishy" taste, so we sent it back. The hand rolls that followed were mixed: the scallop was good, but the toro looked dull and tasted off. When we politely mentioned it to the "chef" he became defensive and told us we should "buy from a fish market," and even asked if we were fishermen. It felt condescending and unnecessary. The miso soup was extremely salty and thick so we asked for hot water to dilute it. Between the quality that night and the rude response, it left a bad impression. I ordered the K-Subi sandwiches at K ramen bar but they assembled them here. After ordering I held out my hand for my receipt but the young man that took my order walked away without giving it to me or even saying "thank you" he just bolted back to the sushi station just to stand there. I asked the man making ramen if I can have my receipt he said yes, told him I'll be back because I'm going to 99 Ranch. I came back got my subis only to see them wrapped in parchment. I was hoping they would fine when I got home but they were falling apart, (most places wrap them in plastic wrap to keep their shape.) They seemed rushed even tho I didn't give that interpretation, I went shopping across the way for atleast 40 mins. Is it just me or does this place really suck? I ordered two handrolls and they came out looking like sad little dead mice--tiny, barely any fish inside, just a joke of a portion. I should've taken a pictures of the inside of the rolls so you'd see exactly what I mean. To make it worse, the place was practically empty--only two people sitting at the bar--and it still took 25 minutes to bring out those two pitiful rolls. What the heck is going on here? The four rolls that I had were...Salmon, yellowtail, bay scallop, and Crab. They were all so good, but my favorite and most tasty of all was the crab!!! Handrolls, especially by Zeppin, are officially my favorite way to consume sushi. Let me tell you why... This is the first ever handroll bar in the Eastvale area and the secret...is in their nori (seaweed). Handroll master Eddie told me they use only super premium seaweed that gives their handrolls that extra CRONCH, so when you bite into it, with the fresh fish and perfectly prepared sushi rice...mmmph, TEXTURE FOR DAYS. And 6 handrolls at a super wallet-friendly price of $30?? Like c'mon, snow crab and lobster that you don't have to de-shell yourself, and presented to you in these cute handrolls? SOLD ;) And I love how they alternate between using warm sushi rice with cold fish and cold rice with warm seafood like the lobster...it's the little details, ya know? Handroll By Zeppin is the sister popup of Zepping Sushi located in the same plaza but unlike the other location, this one inside the Cravings Food Hall is specifically serving up some of the best hand rolls in the San Bernardino County; no more driving all the way out to LA or OC for the same quality hand rolls. It's only been open for about 3 weeks and I hope they open more locations, especially in the 626 area. When you walk into the food hall, you'll be greeted with the red neon Handroll By Zeppin sign as one of the islands in the middle of the food hall. There are plenty of seats surrounding their kitchen so you'll have a fantastic view of the workers and the surrounding food hall businesses. The servers behind the bar are friendly and will explain everything to you if you're not familiar with the concept or an item on the menu. They make sure you're eating at a comfortable pace and will guarantee you are not waiting too long for your next roll or menu item. Both my buddy and I ordered the Zeppin Set Menu, which included 6 Hand Rolls (Toro, Yellowtail, Salmon, Bay Scallop, Crab, and Lobster) but I opted to substitute Bay Scallop for Eel; one of my favorites that I tried tonight. In addition, the Set Menu will include a Seaweed Salad and Miso Soup, which isn't something you will find at a typical hand roll restaurant and everything at a reasonable price. The biggest plus that I loved about this place was the fact they had eel on their menu. I usually only see eel at a sushi restaurant but I have not once seen it at a hand roll restaurant, so I was quite happy to see it and try it. All I can say is wow. The hand rolls were amazing. My favorite top two are the snow crab hand rolls and lobster hand roll. If you're new, order the handroll set and experience a little bit of everything. The chefs and service was great and the prices were very reasonable. When preparing foods with hands and gloves, the main thing is to watch out for cross contamination and the repeated need WASH YOUR HANDS. I noticed our "chef" pick up gloves after we sat down and proceeded to serve us in the same gloves until the end of our meal. You do get full from their sets but wish they put more fish! Service is quick and everything is timely presented so the pace of the food is good. It's a bar in a food courty type of hall so it's not like an intimate or anything. Would have been 4 stars BUT I am giving 3 stars because they were not good with accommodating my sister who has a shellfish allergy.
