Nice repair shop built in with the gas station. I called in to schedule an oil change and tire rotation. Prices are reasonable - $70 for synthetic oil + filter change, and $20 for a tire rotation (taxes not included). Business owner prefers cash and will charge about a 3% credit card fee if you choose that route. No smog checks performed here but any tune ups or repair can be done. I initially declined because it was a little costly. This led to problems later and I had a dealer run an analysis too. They found the same problem. However, dealer's price to repair it was way more. This is my go-to mechanics because they are quick, honest and reasonably priced. But they have put the wrong tire pressure in my car twice after maintenance. My FJ cruiser needed only 32psi, but they always put in 42psi. Gladly my car would warn me when the pressure is off. read more

I had an issue with my car, the drivers side headlight was going out and I went to O'Reillys down the street. I paid for the parts for the headlight fuse to be replaced unfortunately O'Reillys was not able to do the repair since they had to cut wires so I went to the nearest mechanic. When I got here they were upset that I already got the parts even though they were exactly the same parts that I had in my vehicle. They were going to charge me $130 for 1 hr without the parts and then when I showed them that I had the parts they push the price down to $95.00. I spoke to two different technicians around the area and they were only going to charge me $50 to do this. The mechanics here at the shop told me it was gonna take them a good half an hour just to take my headlight out when O'Reillys took three minutes. I probably look like a naïve young woman who didn't quite understand about cars. Little did they know I did my research and was able to get this fixed within 25 minutes at a $40 cost. Maybe they were slow or maybe they truly didn't understand how to change a simple headlight fuse. But taking advantage of someone is cruel just because you had a slow day. Hopefully this review helps people not get discriminated by their age or sex or scammed from a slow day. read more

Noticed my car was squeaking when I press the breaks. Took it into Benton's to see if they would be able to do a break inspection. They had other cars but were able to do a quick inspection. They gave me a reasonable quote and also took car in same day. Took about three hours w waiting for parts and being seen w/o appointment. Fast, friendly, efficient. read more

They were great. My tire popped while turning into the Arco to get gas, luckily I was right there. I walked into their shop and they immediately started working on my car. They ordered a new tire and did an oil change at a reasonable price. Gave me some warnings to other things potentially wrong with my car, but in no way pressured me to get the repairs done right away. Really great people. read more

This place was fantastic when A-Z Auto Repair ran the shop, but presently as Benton Auto Repair with a different mechanic/lease, I would not recommend doing business with them. After having an ignition part replaced and new spark plugs and wires installed, I compared their overall price to other shops and it was excessive. Got alternator changed for my Altima and they did a good job. Friendly staff offered to tow the car for a small fee (not much though). They needed to swap out the battery and they called about it and did it all the same day. They'll get it done and give you an accurate time and price estimate. I left my car there before my work, they drived me to my work (I got to work late because of them), as we agreed, and they promised to drive me back when my car is ready. However, they were not able to repair my car and refused to drive me back, so they left me on the street wiithout car! These people are totally morons! Never deal with them! read more

After months of looking for Ngo who ran A to Z Auto Repair in the garage of the Arco station on the corner of Lawrence/Benton I decided to give Jorge and Carlos who opened their business Fall of 2012 a chance to work on my 2000 Volvo. I have now had Jorge work on my car for 4 times, primarily maintenance issues and most recently a water pump/timing belt replacement. He may be the most intuitive and competent mechanic who has ever worked on any carl I have owned. He just understands the way a vehicle works and is put together. I think he started working along side of an uncle as a teenager and continued with schooling in a mechanic training program later. He is so careful as he works on engines and does little things that most mechanics would not think to do as he works ie you get even more than you would expect when he does a job. On top of that he is, as I've learned over time, very honest/fair and does not try to sell you jobs which don't need to be done. Honest and fair mechanics are so hard to find and I was heartsick when A to Z closed down but I can truthfully say that Jorge is an even better mechanic. He and his brother in law Carlos are really good people. Try them out and support them if you find that you agree with this review. I want these guys to stay in business as I don't think I ever want to be looking for another repair shop again. read more

I brought my Toyota Corolla in because the engine had stopped running. I was told the distributor needed to be replaced and was very expensive, After approving the repair and return of the car, I did some research and found out I was charged over twice the market price of the distributor. Carlos, Jorge and Oscar are all terrific mechanics. Jorge has taught young Oscar really well. All 3 of them work as a team. Carlos does most of the customer interaction.
