This is the best sit-down Mexican restaurant in the area, hands down. It used to be Hacienda Sauza and hasn't changed in quality, even though it changed names. For food we had Mariscada Cabo San Lucas, Chicken quesadilla, Pollo borracho, and Tamales mixtecos. Each meal was tasty and was a very generous serving. The drinks there are creative and they have a long list of options. Make sure to have a designated driver. We always get the guacamole that they make at the side of your table and the flaming ice cream after the meal (that they also make at your table). The kids love it even though they aren't kids anymore. Service is always attentive and accurate. Remember to tip well.

Have been here many times. They have the best chips and salsa and steak quesadillas. JTL

This place has the best salsa and chips. In addition, they also have great steak quesadilla. A must try. They also have the best birthday celebrations, hence the Hat.

First time here, parking was easy but the food is below average. Service is 3 star just one lady covering all over. All order is hand writing and it is taking longer than usual. Nice decoration with Mexican characters and arts. We may benot coming back for while.

    Chicken Flautas - really tasty!

The food was pretty good, although what I was looking forward to the most ended up being the biggest disappointment. I was really in the mood for tacos so I decided to give this place a try. It really is surprising to me how so many restaurants in the area that claim to offer "authentic Mexican" seem to care so little about the quality of their tacos. My chicken tacos were simply plain grilled chicken on tortillas with a couple pieces of radish and 2 lime wedges on the side. No cilantro, no onion, no cojita, and the tortillas weren't slightly grilled the way most people like. My expectations were severely dashed as soon as I saw what they looked like. I know how much Mexicans take pride in their tacos, and I believe Mexicans are some of the most culinarily gifted people walking this earth. So my question is why do so many Mexican spots, especially this new one, put forth such half-assed effort into their tacos. I hope the decision makers of this place read this and take my advice, sell better tacos. It's a nice atmosphere, decorated well, with a nice bar that has as big a selection of tequila as I've seen around here. I want this place to succeed and I will give them another shot in the near future.

We said the first test was the chips and salsa. They didn't disappoint. The salsa wasn't super spicy but was very fresh and super flavorful and chips were great. Next up - the margaritas. The house on-the-rocks margs were excellent. Good balanced flavor, enough alcohol but not too strong, doesn't taste like a mix. Finally, the entrees. My daughter and wife got the mole poblano enchiladas. There were very good. The mole had a nice, rich flavor. The portions were large and they both had leftovers. I had the puerco adobado. It was amazing. A very light, slightly spicy red sauce and tender pork. So good! The fourth in our party got flautas, which were excellent and also a large portion. The rice and refried beans were also very good. The only item that wasn't amazing was the tres leches. It was good but not as moist as what we normally get. We ate it, of course. It just wasn't at the level of the rest of the food. We sat outside on the patio. It's right next to the road but also overlooks the creek and was very pleasant. The service was great. Very friendly and fast. The prices were reasonable. Knowing about Panchos & Gringos, we'll have no hesitation eating Mexican food when we're visiting our daughter in Peekskill. We'll even look forward to it!

It's a really big space with lots of seating both at the bar and tables. There was music playing and the vibe was lively but not too loud. Service was really quick! Felt like our food order came out in like 5-10 mins tops and everything came out hot and fresh. Our server was Adrian Q. and he was friendly and knowledgeable of menu items. Adrian gave us a complimentary drink at the end- warm red wine. And no I don't mean room temperature, I mean actually heated with steam coming out. It was at first because I've never heard of that but it actually wasn't bad and was kind of like a palate cleanser. Drinks: We both opted for the large coyote-rita with don julio for $34.50. I had the passion fruit and she had the tamarind. Both flavors were really good and I was surprised that the tamarind was not overly sweet. The drinks packed a good punch so I would say it's worth the price. Food: we started with the calamares frito, Yuka fritas, and alitas de pollo. The yuka fritas were really good, the calamari was ok, seems like it was frozen but the sauces that came with it were amazing, especially the green sauce, and the wings were good but nothing special. For entrees, I had the quesadilla de camarones and she had the enchiladas. The quesadilla was amazing! Loved every bit of it. It had pieces of shrimp inside as well as whole shrimps on the top in a creamy sauce. It also came with rice and beans which were also good. My friend enjoyed her enchiladas. It's her favorite thing there. This place is very far from (like 2 hours) but would def visit again when I'm in the area.

We came for a late lunch as a party of 5 and used the Lunch Special. At $16.95 per person (up from $14.95 last year), it is still very reasonably priced since it includes a fountain soft drink, chips and salsa, and the meal with rice, beans, and salad. I had the Beef Tacos Duros, which were pleasant, and the service was fast. However, the biggest downfall is the unsanitary condition of the women's bathroom, particularly the toilet bowl and sink. This is a complete turn-off, especially since this is where guests go to sanitize their hands before eating. It reflects poorly on management and how they maintain the establishment. For this reason, I will not be returning.
