a view of a wooden fence
    Jon C.

Berco Redwood was one of my best finds in 2022, I will never go to big box store to purchase lumber again. I had to build a pool fence/gate last summer and the guys at Berco were so great to work with and really listened to what I was trying to do. They offered great options and even took the time to hand pick the wood making sure I didn't get any bad pieces. I'm not a carpenter by any means so getting help with the material and stain and my gate kit was extremely helpful. Will definately be back for my next project! Thanks!

With a selection of redwood and pressure treated wood products that nobody in the area can beat, along with a very knowledgeable staff that makes sure you have the right product for the job, Berco in Roseville is the only place to shop for your deck or fencing needs. I recently replaced a 100 ft. section of fence using Berco redwood and the fence looks better than I could have imagined. Berco has just about every size of redwood available in lengths that no other company stocks, along with various quality levels to meet your needs. Great people, too, working in the yard to assist with preparing your order and loading of materials. I've had several occasions to buy smaller amounts of redwood for fence repairs on my property over the past few years and on every occasion it has been a pleasure to visit Berco, knowing that they will always have the right size redwood boards for the project and that the sales staff will have the answers to my questions. This recent complete replacement of a fence was the first large order I have made with Berco, and they had exactly what I needed, and the quality of the redwood exceeded my expectations. Berco stocks all of the hardware necessary to complete a fence or deck project, so it's really a one stop visit in planning and executing your project, small or large. Thanks for the great service.

Jr/Victor was fast and very helpful and they should have him in sales because the customer service is amazing

Once again these guys really hit it out of the park! Between Luke and Chris I was able to get a special beam for my home that was miscalculated by the architect in less than four hours! I was in a panic because I had the framers coming on Saturday and Thursday late in the evening I discovered the mistake. Of course it was after 5 o'clock and all the lumberyards were closed. Friday morning I talked with Chris Barry he assured me that I should be able to continue with the project without any hiccups. He was right! Luke sourced out a new beam that I was able to pick up Friday by noon and save the day! Can't say enough good things about these guys, they will always be my go to lumberyard!

This is a one stop shop for all your redwood building needs! My bf is building me a deck for my backyard and after frequent trips to Home Depot, we came to Berco because we were told they had wood that was up to 20 ft. long. My bf came in and told Chris about the project and he was so helpful and knowledgable that he pointed out ways to make the deck structurally sound while saving me money and saving my bf some labor. I like the sound of more money in my pockets! I was only going to purchase a few 20 foot boards and planned to buy the rest from Home Depot, however the quote from Berco was so much cheaper with all the screws and hardware included. I even got 5% off my total for checking in, which saved me about $100! Berco is awesome and I'm super excited for my deck. Pics to come when it's finished!

I met with Kurt for the initial estimate and he was great in pointing out the kind of work that needed to be done and took the time to answer all of my questions. Once I made the decision to go with 3 Generations, I started working with Jeremy who went the extra mile to meet me at my work to sign the paperwork and select the type of siding for the house. We signed the paperwork in the late Fall, which is a busy time for them but Jeremy was always up front with their estimated timing, which I really appreciated. Once the work started, the job was completed pretty quickly. Again, Jeremy and his crew were very communicative and kept me updated on the status of the work until it was done. They also fixed some plywood dry rot and installed new plywood as well as correcting some roof deck problems in addition to all of the siding replacement. I've included some pictures the old siding, which was cracked and loose as well some pictures of the new siding to show the improvement. From my experience, I would recommend 3 Generations Improvements for any siding or repair work you may need!

It would be very difficult to give an accurate estimate this way because there's a lot of dry rot underneath the steps which needed to be inspected in-person. R&B Framing was the only company which showed up to take a look at the steps. Two days later, Jose Cedillo emailed me an estimate and thoroughly answered my questions. His company only uses Redwood or cedar wood for Victorian homes, though cedar does cost extra. He doesn't use pressure treated wood. We were surprised by how fast his crew finished the job. They showed up on April 9th, early in the morning and worked until the evening. The arrived the next day to finish the rest of the steps and the banisters. He also painted the banisters according to the original white creme color. If it's a legacy house, they'll stick to the originality of the Victorian architecture. (Per building code regulations, when a house is considered a legacy house the paint must be the original--or close to the original color--of when the house was first built.)

They didn't come in as the lowest bid, but their presentation and cost were within project budget so they were selected. I'm glad we chose them, their team of subcontractors were on the job site every morning on time and ready to go. They handled the work efficiently, with skill, and we could not be happier with the results so far. They have to come back and do a little finish work, and some additional work we would like them to do that was outside the original scope of work (yes, we asked them to do more, that is how much we liked their service).

Existing dark brown deck boards were lifting with plank screw fasteners exposed. After an unsuccessful attempt to use of Behr penetrating stain, boards were partially restored to a dark brown. After one year, the Behr stain began to visibly peel off of all components of the deck. Douglas fir staircase railings did not soak in or retain the Behr stain. Last year, due to heavy rain, our adjacent underground basement flooded requiring pumping to remove water transferred through the cement foundation of the home. Project Phases: Phase 1: remove all existing wood components of the existing deck. Phase 2: Excavate deck side of the House foundation, a) paint foundation with active water resistant barrier paint to cover all House foundation areas next to the back deck. Bury white 4 inch piped highly absorbent water accumulators and interconnect piping with an existing roof gutter drain system. Phase 3: Install new TREX Transcend "Tiki Torch" wood grain planks using concealed TREX fastener system complimented by new black metal rust resistant stair case fencing and railing system. We were so fortunate to find KEN RECTOR CONSTRUCTION-AUBURN to engineer, furnish and design our project. I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!
