Very thorough, and while their price is high it's in line with the area. The issue I had was with their tint jobs. I've had 5 vehicles tinted at Capitol Shine, and while the first 4 were absolutely flawless, the 5th one had to be redone *three* separate times for major issues -- I'm not talking about a little speck of dust here or there, but major contamination. The final time they tinted the last vehicle, they ended up damaging the leather in the car by letting the tinting spray sit on the leather under the window for too long. To their credit, they apologized and refunded me for the tint job -- but I still had to go and have the leather replaced, which was a major pain in the ass. So, if you're looking for detailing - A+ work. If you're looking for tinting, be careful.

Although the price has change drastically (upward)....the consistency and quality of service remains on point. Yates is one of those car washes that you actually get a good wash and outcome of a clean car for it to be a machine wash. The service is quick, fast and very convenient. The secret here is not just in the machine wash, but the secret sauce is in how hard the workers that dry and detail your car afterwards perform. The folks here work really hard to clean your car inside and out. If not necessarily a full detail, but it's close to as if you paid for a full detailed service in my opinion. There were times I was even ashamed to open the door for them to clean my car! Lol. But, in all, you definitely get what you pay for here and that i is a quality wash that meets all expectations for the price. Besides the machine wash service, they do offer a hand wash service and full detail service that can be scheduled. The price varies based on the car type and size. I've never used the extended services, but from what I can see, they perform a great job, especially with detailing your car. My go to is the standard ultimate Wash. This service is a full complete inside and outside cleaning job for your car as well as inside mats and tire/wheel cleaning. One day I will try the hand wash and detail service, but for now I'm completely satisfied every time I stop by here. I highly recommend you give these folks to visit. You will not be disappointed..... at least I haven't and it has been over 20+ years!

After the wash was completed, a supervisor, Marvin Cornejo, brought me over to my vehicle and informed me that they could not get the driver-side window to roll back up. There were also clear signs that the driver-side power window switch had been pried on in an apparent attempt to get the window working again. Prior to bringing my vehicle to Yates, I had never experienced any issues with the windows or electrical system. To their credit, the staff apologized at the time, took photographs of the damage, and completed an incident report. I was told that the owner would be contacting me to discuss the damage and how the situation would be handled. It has now been a week, and I have received no follow-up whatsoever. Because I was trading the Durango in that same day, the damage directly affected the condition of the vehicle and resulted in a $500 reduction in my trade-in value. So, in the end, a $42 wash plus the $5 tip I gave the staff cost me an additional $500. The wash itself was fine, and I understand that accidents can happen. What I find unacceptable is the lack of accountability and follow-through afterward. If your business damages a customer's vehicle, documents the incident, and tells the customer that the owner will contact them, following through should be the bare minimum. Receiving no communication at all only adds insult to injury. I purchased my new vehicle later that same day, and based on this experience, I will not be bringing it to Yates Car Wash Detail Center. Unfortunately, I also cannot recommend Yates to others. Accidents happen. How a business responds when they happen says far more about the business than the accident itself. In this case, the lack of communication and accountability has been extremely disappointing.

I came around 1 1/2 hours after the call and they pulled my car into the garage for service immediately. They said it would be about 30 minutes so I took a walk in the neighborhood and enjoyed the nice spring weather. I thought the man said it would be $8 for each test/inspection but no! It was $8 TOTAL and they even have a sign outside to advertise that deal too! I came back in 30 minutes and luckily I only needed an inspection so I actually only paid $3 today. I would recommend this place to everyone for these services because they are priced well and work very fast. I will be back in a few months for my $5 emissions test LOL

Even before my car got there, they checked in with me, assured me they'd take good care of my car, and they'd call to let me know what needed to be fixed. They called me a couple hours later just to give an update that they were booked but would get to my car as soon as possible. They were completely honest from the beginning that it might be a couple of days. The very next day they called to tell me they'd figured out what was wrong, let me know it was covered, and they offered me a loaner since they'd need to order a part and it would be a few days before my car was fixed. Getting the loaner was a very easy process too. Just a couple of days later they called to give another update- it wasn't fixed but they just wanted to check in. They didn't need to do that but they did and I thought it was extremely thoughtful. I actually added my regular service since they had my car and they were very upfront about what was included and how much it would cost. When my car was ready, they called again, explained everything they did, and let me know when to pick it up. When I went to pick it up and drop off the loaner it took just a matter of minutes. Everything was the price they promised and my car was ready to go. I found it nice that they even washed it very well and cleaned it. I think the car was even more clean than when they got it! I had a very bad experience at another Hyundai service location so I really wasn't sure what to expect at this location. I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish and now I won't go anywhere else!

Since I have never used a car detailing service before, I received 4 estimates on cleaning my 2016 Toyota Camry's interior. I have cloth seats so stains are a problem. I heard from Harrison, from Berger Mobile Detailing just minutes after I looked this up. Harrison was professional and timely in his response with a quote. I am extremely disappointed with the car detailing service I received. Despite charging a premium price, the team failed to address the main issue I brought my car in for. After the service, my car still had the scratch, which was the primary reason I chose this company, which they told me they could fix beforehand. Given the high cost, I expected much better results and attention to detail. Unfortunately, I feel like I paid for a service that didn't meet basic expectations. My SUV hadn't been properly cleaned since it was new in 2016, and I had been meaning to get it detailed. Then my 3 year old threw up in the back seat and of course, that expedited my need for an interior detailing. Harrison responded that night to my Yelp! message, and was at my house the next day ready to go. He did a fantastic job on the interior, including the rear upholstery. They took 4 hours for just the interior of my car but I can tell you right that it looks amazing. I have a Siberian husky and any crevice or opening you can think of, there was husky hair. The detailing itself was outstanding! Elvis showed up at my scheduled time and got straight to work. He even gathered all the miscellaneous items that I left and put them into a bag so I can sort out later. When he finished, the car looked brand new! The upholstery hadn't been cleaned in years, but he worked miracles. He has his own mobile power washer that wasn't too harsh that he used on the exterior. Even though he lives in VA, he had no issue meeting me at a public park where he wouldn't be in the hot sun, because I don't have a driveway. James has the most pleasant , patient personality ever - I had to change the date & time 4 times due to rain popping up, and he never even got irritated with me once! I've sat on this review for awhile.. but it's time…read more I took a chance with this business, I really did. They have over 50 business photos and zero reviews. That should've been my first red flag. The 2nd should've been the pushy sales manager. I contacted this business because they offer mobile detailing and the business owner I spoke to for the quote seemed to know exactly how to fix my issue. For context, I spilt a 20oz shaker bottle of muscle milk + water on the back perforated leather seats of my wife's 2019 Lexus rx 450 h. In 10 minutes, the shake was gone, the seat was dry, and I didn't realize how bad the situation really was.. Fast forward to a day later, an enzyme cleaner from home depot.. and a lingering and increasing stench coming from the back seat.. I pulled the trigger for a "professional". I did some basic research, I went through the projects option here on yelp. And out of all the people I spoke with, the business owner at Luxury Car Cleaning advised he had all the right tools, deep cleaning machines and even an ozone machine to take care of the issue for $200-250. Of the 10+ companies I asked, a majority were higher or said it wasn't possible. So I chose this company. I set a date, and hoped for the best. Did I get the best? To an extent. I have no issues with the tech that showed up. What I have issues with is the boss that sent him out and the equipment that was used. Did they have an ozone machine and a deep cleaning tool to reach my problematic seat issue? No. The tech wasn't even aware of what my issue was. We spoke through Google translate and it turned out to be $350 for a full inside and outside detail. It took about 2-3 hours, and besides a power washer, drill brush (for the wheels), vacuum cleaner, leather cleaner, and a plastic cleaner spray.. there were no other "specialized machines" to "fix my problem". As I said before, I don't blame the tech at all. He was very nice, hard working, and as far as detailing, he did a good job with the basic equipment he was given to use. Is my issue resolved? Nope. The scent came back the next day and got worse throughout the week. I overpaid for an interior and external detailing service. After more research, more calls, long talks, and a referral to a shop in silver spring, I'm having it fully cleaned by another company. The reality is I should've gone to the right place for the right solution. My issue is an upholstery issue and the shop I found will remove the seat, take the leather off. Powerwash the leather, deep clean the foam, and ozone clean the car. It'll take 7-10 days, and $950. But, I will get progress photos throughout the process, the entire inside done, and a 24-48 hour ozone treatment. PLUS, a guarantee the smell doesn't come back and a warranty if it does that they'll fix it. That place is called Car care customs and has been in business since 1986. Would I recommend you hire Luxury Car Cleaning? No. Unfortunately, I got a bait and switch.

If you saw my car once they were done, you wouldn't know I even owned a dog. They cleared the undercarriage of my seats as well. No detail overlooked. I've never hired a mobile detailing service and I'm convinced I won't hire any other than this company. As for the value of their work, you can't beat it. Cleaned and mopped and vacuumed the entire RV/Sprinter Van and gave the outside a good wash. Missed a couple spots, but the weather was incredibly hot and they were in an RV/Sprinter van all day so I don't fault them that at all. Especially considering RVs are not actually part of what they do. They were willing to take the chance to help me out and did a fantastic job. I'm looking forward to booking them for my cars! If they did such an amazing job with the RV, I can't wait to see what they can do with regular cars!
