Dr. Groff is amazing. My appointments are always on time and the staff is wonderful. Jenny made the apt move right along.

Every single team member I've interacted with has been upbeat, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to be there. Switching to this location has been one of the smartest decisions I've made -- the difference is night and day. Dr. Elaine Steffensen is simply exceptional. Her background, her training, her attention to detail -- all of it shows the moment she begins an exam. During my annual visit, she identified something that needed to be monitored and explained it with such clarity that I immediately trusted her judgment. I took notes, snapped photos, and studied the charts so I could understand it better. When I returned for my follow-up, she welcomed my questions with real patience and depth. She is the kind of doctor who makes you feel both informed and cared for. The team supporting her is outstanding. They're organized, kind, and quick -- and they carry the same warmth she brings to her work. To management: this office is a model of what great patient care looks like. Dr. Steffensen and her team reflect extraordinary professionalism and heart. They strengthen your brand, elevate the patient experience, and set a standard worth celebrating. Dr. Steffensen also guided me to an excellent retina specialist -- another example of how deeply she looks out for her patients. They have a wonderful selection of eyewear with super friendly team members. When you come here you are getting the best of the best.

Contact lens ordering nightmare…read more This office has mishandled my contact lens order on two separate occasions, both times after payment was processed. Despite placing my order months in advance, the office either lost or failed to process it, resulting in extended delays. When I contacted the office to request help including expediting the order, I was told it would take another two months, with no accountability taken for their error. After speaking with a manager, they explicitly refused to contact the manufacturer or offer any temporary solution, even after acknowledging I would be out of contact lenses due to their mistake. The issue was resolved only after I contacted CooperVision directly. CooperVision immediately stepped in, contacted Houston Eye Associates Tanglewood (HEAT) on my behalf, and arranged for trial lenses to be rushed to me within three weeks. This option was never offered by HEAT, nor was any effort made to assist me until the manufacturer intervened. It is unacceptable that a patient must bypass their provider to correct an error entirely created by the office. This experience demonstrates a serious lack of customer care, accountability, and patient advocacy.

The clinic is busy, but the system and secretaries make things run quite smooth. I'm a rather difficult case, presenting with angle recession glaucoma following an injury I had over 15 years ago. After a botched attempt in changing my eyedrop regiment at another clinic, Dr. Coburn's team accepted me as a patient and asked me to come by ASAP. As bad as the situation was, Dr. Coburn set me back on the right path. When I'm in a critical point in my care, the doctors here are willing to make exceptions. Dr. Queen has placed a beautiful shunt in my eye. I can't see it. Post-op check ups are frequent and I feel comfortable as a patient. Compared to other clinics, communication is quick and much needed emergency visits are taken seriously. Hard to get care this good anywhere.

The treatment and care I've received is why I always tell my husband if anything ever happens to me, take me to Methodist for treatment. He was the epitome of the best representative for Business. I have considered him for my business however, I do not want to take him away from his chosen spot. I've also been in search of a new eye doctor. Marco, the gentleman that greeted me was very professional and very accommodating. I made the decision to set an appointment. Today I went in for my appointment, I called ahead of time to let them know that I would be a few minutes late. The staff once again was very pleasant and very accommodating. I completed the paperwork and waited just a few moments. When the technician asked me to come back to do the initial eye exams. The equipment was in an open concept area. There was a woman and man in a business conversation. The man's voice was very loud. The two people were clearly engaged in a conversation related to the business of this particular location and franchise. For the first exam, they were directly behind me talking very loudly. Making it very difficult to concentrate on what the tech was asking me to do and also making it difficult for me to hear her speak to me. We proceeded to the second exam, which was two part. Again, the man and woman were standing directly behind me having a very loud in-depth business conversation. Making it excessively difficult to concentrate on the particular exam for peripheral vision. I expressed my concern to the tech about how disruptive it was and how difficult it was to concentrate. She was very kind and apologized and offered me to wait until they finish the conversation. The man and woman proceeded to the showroom, but were still very loud and disruptive. I completed the second part of the second exam. I once again in a respectful manner expressed my concern over the disruption. And then I ask, is that the doctor? Indeed, the woman engaged in this conversation in the earshot of customers was the doctor. I was so offended by the unprofessionalism I let the young lady know I was leaving. I'm very disappointed that I was compelled to leave as I was prepared to buy a complete frame and lenses for regular glasses and I had a bag of design designer frames that I wanted to get new lenses for. The estimated cost for what I wanted to do Wood would have been well in excessive $2000. I am totally amazed, that someone in this position and level of education, would hold such a conversation in earshot of customers. It was clearly a conversation that should have probably been behind closed doors. Details about the business and productivity are not conversation that should've been in front of customers or employees.
