Turners Falls Pizza House is the kind of restaurant that went missing from most towns in America 15 years ago. By some miracle, the dream lives on here: reasonable prices, warm service, and generous portions. On the night I visited, the phone was ringing off the hook and they still managed to bring out my full meal (which was a very reasonable $15) promptly and brought me a whole jug of cold water when I asked for a glass. This place is bad. The food is cold and wet, and it takes 3 hours to get service. It is dark and musty inside. Don't try this.

I grew up in Turners. On 3rd street and Graduated from Turners Falls high school in 98. This place was a staple growing up. Friday nights grabbing a square cut pie and heading to the AV house to rent a VHS. I'm so sad to see and experience the quality decline. The pizza dough and grinder rolls have changed. (Not for the better.....tasteless). This was a hidden gem back in the day, but now tastes no better than a late night gas station drunken food stop. I'm unsure, why the changes happened. (Financial/cheaper, original vendors went out of busines???) When Melissa owned the restaurant the quality was extremely consistent. (For YEARS) Everything we have tried recently seems like a cheaper and blander version. (AND) Good luck receiving what you ordered. The last four pick up orders we have made were missing items or had the order completely wrong. We kept trying solely due to how much this place meant to me and the nostalgia it held. Got a mushroom and eggplant pizza, good food if a bit slow. Restaurant was clean. Extra plates salt etc readily available. Call ahead.

Horrible customer service called for pickup . Literally ordered a salad. Showed up 40 minutes later to pick it up. They had me standing outside for An additional 27 minutes. After I called and they told me " someone will be right out with that " I watched three other cars pull up and get their foods. And when I asked two separate times two separate people, about how long till my order comes out ( mind you I just ordered a salad ) nobody came back out to inform me about anything. When a phone call was made the third time asking about my salad. Just a salad. They said it was just about done. Still proceeded To have me wait outside for another 15 minutes at that point I left. I go there and spend at least $40 two-three times a week and always tip nicely.. never again. Worst service . read more

Pizza and Subs are amazing. Pickup is very quick but if you order delivery regardless of day or time you will have a 45 minute - 1hour wait. But the food is worth it. We are extremely sad that they have stopped serving the friends ravioli and really hope they decide to bring it back because it is absolutely delicious and very hard to find around here! read more

Oh no, the crust has changed, its no longer the light sourdough I remember, which sucks. Still a solid pie, just not in my top 5. The bathrooms being locked is also a bit of a warning sign. Probably says more about the Turners population than the business, but you probably should not have the bathroom key attached to a kitchen utensil, that just skeeves me out. read more

Turners Falls Pizza is a great shop located in the heart of Turners Falls. The shop itself screams "welcome home", and when you walk in the front door you feel like a part of the community. We ordered a few pies to-go on Friday during the dinner rush and it took under 15 minutes to get our food. The pizza was great, but the only critique I have is that the mushrooms on my pizza were canned and not fresh. Overall, this is a great pizza shop that puts out a great pizza. Turners Falls Pizza House is located in downtown Turners Falls, MA. They have a variety of tasty menu options. They also carry a good selection of sodas, as well as alternative beverages such as Powerade, Vitamin water, Golden Peak ice tea, and Dasani bottled water. They had Trivial Pursuit at each table so if you're eating in the restaurant there's a little trivia to come with dinner as well. Window front sitting, which makes it fun to watch what's going on downtown Turners Falls. They also have seating far enough from the front door and so you don't get the chills every time someone comes in and out during the winter. They have excellent pineapple and bacon pizza. They use good and tasty American bacon. Best bacon and pineapple pizza ever. My half is the slightly overcooked which was exactly how I like my bacon! The pizzas can be a bit greasy, but what pizza is not? Their feta cheese is also awesome on a pizza. They have good buffalo chicken tenders and the blue cheeses sauce that accompanies the tenders is really outstanding. When you buy a pizza (I think large only) you receive a yellow business card. After 12 cards are obtained, they offer a FREE large cheese pizza. I enjoy the incentive. Their cheese fries are nothing special. Fries with slabs of cheese warmed up. Soda is expensive, but that is how it goes with most pizza parlors. When compared to Dominos Pizza, you can not lose! No cardboard, preservative filled junk here. Parking can be a bit tricky. Sometimes you have to circle the block to wait for a space. I rate this restaurant 4 out of 5 stars! read more

This is our go-to pizza delivery place. Their food is good, their pizzas are the best we've found in the area, their dinner plates give you real value for the money, their large subs are honking huge (almost always two meals' worth for me, and I'm not a light eater) and they deliver promptly. But one mark of a good establishment is what happens when they DON'T get everything right. This has happened a couple times, and without any question or guff they promptly place a credit on your next order, with a little extra. When a pizza arrived in an hour instead of 45 minutes, the deliverer handed me a few extra cards (you get a card with a large pizza, and 12 cards gets you a free one). That's service. One consideration to keep in mind is that out of Turners, their delivery hours are limited (as well as requiring at least a $15 purchase). Effectively, quarter past 8 on a weeknight is the latest you can call them and still get a delivery, if you're in Greenfield. Another factor is, as a couple other reviewers have mentioned, that the place is hopping, call volume is high, and being placed on hold for a couple minutes is frequent. If you have a burning need to have the instant and full attention of the answerer, by no later than the second ring, this might not be your cup of tea. The owner is a local, by the bye (a high school classmate of my wife, as to that), who definitely is committed to doing right by the community. (EDIT: And with my wife and I moving out of Greenfield and just around the corner from TFPH, we got to eat in for the first time a couple nights ago. New owners really put in hard work to keep the food the same as previous owners. Food here is tasty and fresh! Fresh salads as well! However, burgers there are tasteless and they need better takeout containers, wrapping them up is very messy. Lost a star for me because they constantly mess up orders there. read more

Had friends over for pizza and ordered a large from Turners Falls Pizza and they did not let me down, the pizza was as delicious as I had promised my friends it would be. This is one of the best pizza places in Franklin County. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. They have a very broad menu and I have yet to find a dish I was not happy with. Not everything is perfect, due to their high call volumes and lack of phone lines placing an order for delivery can be an exercise in frustration. When they give an estimated delivery time, it is usually on the high end if not exceeding the high end. This is annoying but I've also never gotten cold food from them. I am trying to be understanding about the fact that they probably don't get fresh bread as much as before covid19. I ordered a roast beef sub and there was very little roast beef and overall they were skimpy on all ingredients. The sub roll is way too much bread. So basically I received a ton of bread with skimpy ingredients. Disappointing considering that subs must be a good part of their business and you would think they would get it right . I heard good things about this place and read that they deliver to Greenfield so I was terribly disappointed when we tried to order from there that they would not deliver to us in Greenfield even though we live right near the center of town. The girl on the phone was super rude, too bad for them they lost out on a 60 dollar order and potential new customer. If that's not bad business I don't know what is. It's fine because we have this best pizza place around with Village Pizza right here in town unfortunately they are on vacation right now. Turners Falls hipster trash. read more

Moved here from Brooklyn about a year ago and wanted to see what my new local pizzeria had to offer. This is not New York style pizza, but their pizza is delicious! Their wings are so good too. I love this place more and more with each order and visit. It has a great nostalgic pizza parlor feel to it. I have brought my family here when they visit from Brooklyn and they love it too. I got this pizza because it was the only place open after 10pm. I am from New York so I guess I can have higher standards than people from New England. But this pizza was some of the worst I've had. Greenfield definitely lacks in good delivery pizza on Sundays when all the in-town options are closed. My fiancee and I ordered from Turners Falls Pizza House. The food was delicious, but the service was great, hence a 5 star. The owner said all the delivery drivers called out today. He was a little late getting our order (I didn't even notice really), and comped our ENTIRE order since it was over the 45 minute estimate. The wife NIA here once were not impressed by the by the quality of the food or the portion sizes. We thought this place is overrated and unexcelled. For an appetizer we split the Garlic bread with cheese it wasn't very garlicky then we split a house salad which is Little more than greens and some carrots then for our main course we had a pizza I'm not sure what kind of pizza was it so that just speaks to the volume of quality. read more

Meatball sub was really good. So tender and perfect amount of sauce. Bread was so crispy.

I've lived in this area for years but had never eaten here. So what a pleasant surprise to discover recently that they sell a very satisfying sausage and meatball parm sub. The sauce has just the right amount of flavor and the rolls aren't those squishy kind but have some body to them. I also tried a steak and cheese which had lots of meat on it, and the slices at lunch are good too. It's Greek style pizza but lighter on the cheese than some others. Nice crispy pepperoni slices, too. If you have happy memories of meatball subs before Subway ruined them, check out this place! read more

Food was great. Staff could have been friendlier, but they were really really busy. Fairly good price for what we got too. Again, another business here that is cash only. They have a credit card reader at the register.... But it's set up as an ATM.... why not just accept credit/debit? This is 2009, not 1989... plastic is the new currency and businesses in this tiny ghetto village need to realize this.... or atleast put a cash only sign up at the front door so you know before you order.
