Came here for a real early dinner (4:45p ish) tonight and it was a great call. This place has been on my radar for awhile. It started with the ever friendly bartender, Dennis. He was very welcoming and it felt like a true neighborhood bar. After a Mich Ultra, I dove into their Medium Rare, "World Champ Cheeseburger" with lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. It was a simple, perfect burger. It's really nothing fancy, just a straight up good burger with great flavor. That's it. You add the warm atmosphere and this place is great! A very low key place and I liked it! I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and chatty. Ordered the world class cheeseburger with a side of tots. I specifically stated I wanted everything on both cheeseburgers and the hotdog. When I got home, the cheeseburgers were plain. The hotdog was plain, and all I received was a side order of one tomato, 2 pieces of lettuce, a few half pieces of onion and 2 pickles. To me that is not everything on all of them. I had to repeat myself 4 times. Waitress repeated lettuce, onion, mustard, ketchup, onion, tomato? I said yes. I called and got nowhere. I had to repeat myself a few times. The girl that answered the phone told me I needed to be specific if everything doesn't mean lettuce, tomato pickle, ketchup, mustard, onion, relish, then I don't know what does. the woman on the other end of the phone said we don't put everything on a hotdog dog. Well what about the hamburgers???? How difficult is it to understand I wanted everything on all 3 items!! We don't put everything on a hotdog." I said if I say everything that means everything. Pretty much no response. Left a nice tip but next time, which I doubt I will go back, no tip. Yes I should have checked but how hard is it to put everything on a burger and hot dog !!!!!!! I was expecting a fabulous burger but what I got was a decent burger on a tiny plate. The burger was cooked,properly but the plate was just a tad bigger than the burger. There was no seasoning on the burger or the tots. Burgers need at least salt and pepper before cooking to enhance the flavor.With lettuce, tomato and ketchup, the juice was running over the plate. The tots were hot, fresh and quite tasty. Service was friendly and attentive and this bar/grill was clean. The decor was pretty tired, it needs a renovation. They need bigger plates.
