On a recent visit to to the west coast, I decided to stop by Berry Lee for a pair of canvas sneakers with arch support. I remembered stopping by years ago and the owners were helpful, so it was the first store I thought of. The owners were just as nice as back then and helped me find the perfect pair of shoes and as I had researched the brand beforehand, the price was fair. My friend also bought a pair of sandals which she said were very comfortable and she wears often. The store may be a little cluttered, but the owners are great at finding what you need. read more

I love this store! I've been going here for years. Except for my cowboy boots, every single pair of shoes I own are from here. I stopped in yesterday while walking home from work (finally). Nick, the owner, greeted me warmly and showed me all the latest in Sanita clogs! I bought a beautiful blue pair of closed heel clogs. He had to remeasure my foot, using a Euro size shoe sizer. My feet have, um, expanded, since WFH during the pandemic LOL. Nick hooked me up! Will return today to pick up a couple more pairs of my new shoe size. Very nice quality and variety of comfortable shoes in a small space. They have a few shoes on sale which are great . My friend and I were browsing the shops along Main Street and stumbled inside. She bought a pair of very comfortable sandals and almost bought another pair from the sale rack, but the comfort level of the sale shoes did not compare to the ones she decided to buy. The older gentleman/ salesman is knowledgeable about all the brands. This shop sells mostly European comfortable sandals and shoes, high end quality, walking comfortable shoes. read more

Called about a specific pair of shoes (& size) before driving 25 minutes to get them. They said they had them. Showed up, didn't have them. Maybe next time, get up from the couch and actually check the stock for potential customers Update to owner's reply: It was not the Madrids, but not surprising to hear that someone else had the problem. The shoes we were looking for were Oomg Oofos (shoe, not sandal). We called and specifically said we were NOT looking for oofo sandals. We had checked with several stores and asked twice. We even said, "are you sure?" We then asked if he had my size. He said yes. He didn't even have my size of the wrong shoe, so that shows he never looked. Margaret has always been wonderful but her husband's repeated rudeness finally got the best of us. He was condescending to my mother and then, on a separate occasion, rude to me. The prices here are often a bit higher than other places but what used to be wonderful customer service kept bringing us back; not anymore. You've officially lost two loyal customers of 11 years. What a delightful little business. I stopped by with a friend of mine, she purchased a few good items, got a great price pn some very good brands. The most charming part about it is the owner himself, he was very engaging, and told us a lot of great rock and roll stories, and interesting facts about the area. It's really hard to find shoes that are comfortable and good looking and this store has them. Margrit, the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful in helping you select the right shoe. I also love that this is a little neighborhood store with old style service. Now that I think about it, I have actually purchased alot of shoes from this store. I went in for a pair of Dansko clogs for my work. The owner of the store helped me out (not sure of her name). She was fantastic! She helped me figure out the right size and she was so full of knowledge. Also, their prices are comparable to what you would find online. I love this place. They have great quality European shoes made in Spain, Italy and Germany. My mother is very picky about shoes and can't find good shoes in the United States at reasonable prices. During her last visit, we came across this boutique and she bought 3 pairs. I also purchased 2 pairs of shoes. I love to wear platforms and wedges. I bought the cutest summer coral and white shoes on a pretty high platform, but they felt like slippers. I also got so many compliments on the shoes. I love this shoe store. I have bad feet. Always have. They are wide and I have problems finding good walking around shoes that don't look orthopedic. These are some very cool shoes.
