I was very excited to see the changes that Beseto Asian Food Court brought over when they replaced Hanoori Town. The food court received a makeover and all of the dining establishments are new. These establishments offer a large variety of Korean and Chinese dishes and are all very affordable. There can be a bit of a wait after ordering but it is well worth it. The portion sizes are large and are definitely worth the money. read more

I LOVE this food court! It has Chinese, Sushi, Korean, Bubbletea, etc! So far I've tried the Sushi place which is pretty good, the first restaurant on the left when you walk in. I had the spicy rice cakes with dumplings (wow those dumplings dipped in the spicy sauce was DELICIOUS) & around $8-10 I believe! The lady here was so sweet & kind! I've fallen in love with the Korean place straight ahead when you walk in through the front doors. I've had their Beef Bulgogi which is amazing (around $13) & their spicy pork & calamari dish which is my favorite (around $15)! This is where you can get the best Korean in the Baltimore area in my opinion. My body craves Korean food because I am a Korean. And when I crave it, I want something that tastes like what my mom or grandma used to make. I will also settle for a place that is like a Korean restaurant in New York's KTown where there are restaurants everywhere, so the competition is fierce and the food is truly authentic. Be-Se-To is the closest I can get, and I eat here every time I get a chance. (usually when I'm shopping at H-Mart next door). If you haven't figured it out yet, Be-Se-To are the first 2 letters of: Beijing, Seoul, and Tokyo. So they do have Chinese and Japanese food here as well... I haven't tried it yet, but I do see Chinese and Japanese people eating there, but they are all eating the Korean food! If anyone has tried the Chinese/Japanese food, let me know! The Korean section is straight across when you walk through the door. The restaurant is cafeteria style and they only accept cash. Its the not nicest of places, but the food is GOOD!! So it looks like beseto was closed and Hanori town was open in its place 10 years ago. Now hanori town closed and they remodeled and named it back to beseto. It is the same food court concept with 3 different stalls. I miss the old vendors and the people who would make the fresh noodle! read more

I enjoy the beef bulgolgi, seafood pancake, and stews from the Korean Kiosk and the Chinese Kiosks are good too. You can order ahead. I've gone to the Korean stall straight ahead and the Chinese one to the left. Make sure you know what you want as limited English can impede ordering, too many questions not a big help for you @ the Korean spot, usually less of a prob. @ Korean spot, The beef rib ,#1, is not really ribs...not sure the cut, but it is tender beef with onions and it is the best thing on the menu for play it safe Yankees. I've not tried the more authentic offerings...just things that remind me off of stuff I've had at Honey Pig or Iron Age. The first few choices. Beef rib, spicy pork, spicy pork/calamari, beef Bulgogi, all delish. Beef Rib went up from 17.99, 24.99, which could have been done that more gradually... other choices reasonable enough...better portion size than the competition 2 doors down at the market. This "restaurant" is a little tricky, so let's get the how-to out of the way up front. This is not the place for a first date. This is a food court in a strip mall. Upon entering the typically propped-open doors, you pass by a mobile phone store and a large open set of stairs descending into a Korean department store below. The A/C may be turned off on a warm day. The hollow particleboard tables were all shiny and new at some point, but now have a few rough edges. The chairs are the plastic stack-up variety. Walking straight to the back brings you to the main counter in the evening, which serves traditional Korean cuisine. Sharing the other register, there is a Japanese-style kitchen and Sushi counter, and a Korean noodle and side-dish counter. They each have their own kitchens. Ordering can be harrowing for first-time visitors. Unless you are Korean, most of the dishes themselves will be utterly foreign (let alone the names) and a large portion of the menu-board is in Korean only. If you're a round-eye like me you can only wonder what mysteries the non-english portions hold. If you order from the main counter, you must get beverages at the other counter (unless you just want water). Did I mention they are cash only? That's OK with me since the ATM inside is alarmingly cheap. With all of that out of the way, let's talk about the reason this hidden gem gets four stars from me: the food. It is fresh, delicious, and amazingly cheap. The portions here are *huge*. An $8 dish will feed two people, and each dish usually comes with kimchi, picked radish, and a clear soup. Trips here have always resulted in leftovers for each person in the party. Bibimbap is a fantastic introduction to Korean food. It is a large bowl of rice topped with ground beef and a startling array of fresh vegetables: bean sprouts, royal fern (not noodles!), broccoli, squash, and herbs. Under this topping is a fried egg. A small cup of gochujang, a spicy-sweet pepper paste, accompanies this dish and should be poured over this glorious pile of food (yes, the WHOLE cup, please!). The whole bowl is then stirred together. If you do not, someone might come along to instruct you! If you want to spend a few dollars more, there is a variety that comes in a searing-hot bowl with strips of grilled beef, which is still smoking when it hits the table. The grilled salted mackerel comes in a regular and spicy variety. Both are equally delicious, and may well be the best grilled fish I have had. The barbeque chicken with teriyaki sauce is tender and flavorful, packing a strong smoky taste and lightly sweet glaze. The dukboki (sticky rice cakes in a spicy sauce) comes with fried dumplings, and is a huge and satisfying dish that goes a long way to feed several people. All said, this is a foodie's hidden paradise. It is well protected from widespread popularity by the fact that this restaurant is not for YOU (I am speaking to non-Koreans here). Keep in mind that the owners are delighted to have you enjoy their restaurant, but they make no accommodation for the typical American diner. read more

THIS IS A TERRIBLE PLACE. When you go straight in and go straight you will see the terrible place. We ordered number 10 and he gave us a number 8 which is a 5$ difference. Then the anger issue manager who yelled at us refuses to emit he is wrong we also asked other people which eaten there before and they told us it was number 8. There is a Chinese fusion place in the middle of the food court and the food is actually pretty good. I would come here with my mom at least once a week or every other week. Only reason I would give them 1 star (wish I could give 0) was because the lady at the counter who takes your order is beyond rude. Seriously the worst customer service I've ever received in my life. Every time I come here I order shrimp fried rice and couple other things. Usually when I ordered the shrimp fried rice here they gave me a side of the black bean sauce and sometime they never gave it to me at all. When I went back a couple of days ago I ordered the shrimp fried rice and I asked her if I could get a side of the black bean sauce and she just stared at me and sighed at my face. After couple of times sighing she had told me "we don't give this out" and I didn't want to pick a fight so I just said okay that's fine can I just order a side of the black bean sauce I will pay and she just looked at me and sighed at my face again and started raising her voice at me saying "that's not what I'm trying to tell you. We don't give it out as a side with the fried rice." And I was like ok but last time it did, I come here almost every week. And she was like how could I remember every single customer that comes here. Which I understand...But I was just so shocked like I understand if it doesn't come with the fried rice I just wanted to order a side order of black bean sauce. She could've charged me $20 I don't care but she just started yelling at me at started talking back to me like I was a child that doesn't understand my own native language. She was yelling at me so loudly, employees from downstairs came upstairs to see what's going on and that lady started telling everyone what happened saying that every time I come here I complain and give attitude...but she just said she doesn't remember me? And I'm never one to complain about food, I would just not eat it and leave. So then I asked to speak with the manager/owner and she just told me I should've just held my anger back? Lol what kind of ownership is this? No wonder her employees are rude just like her. I own a carry out business and work in the customer service industry as well for the last 15 years...this isn't how a customer should be treated.
