Healthy eating... Really enjoyed my experience here! The chopped salad was fresh and delicious and the carrot cake was definitely a highlight....so good! The restaurant was clean with a really nice atmosphere and the music added the perfect vibe without being overwhelming. My husband took me here for my birthday brunch and we had an amazing meal! There's no place in Michigan that offers an upscale plant based menu like this!! It's comparable to a couple of New York restaurants I've visited. They bring you electronic menus with an expansive menu. So many options to choose from and you can click on photos of what the food looks like. My husband and I split the wedge salad and it was amazing! Dressing was homemade and had blue cheese in it that tasted just like real cheese. I decided to go with a sweet dish and ordered the French toast. It was very good, good portion size, lots of chopped up nuts. My husband had the breakfast pizza and was impressed. We will most definitely be back again!! read more

Besos is fire. No BS. Soon as you walk in, the vibe is on point, the food comes out lookin' crazy, and it actually tastes as good as it looks. The staff ain't on no attitude either--they take care of you. Portions are solid, prices ain't ridiculous, and everything was fresh. If you're around and don't stop at Besos, you're buggin'. I am so excited to report that this is the best vegan spot in Metro Detroit - maybe even Michigan! We took our mom who is a carnivore for Mothers Day and she agreed that the flavors were awesome and she did not miss the meat! We loved the Chicken summer roll (great to share) Heirloom tomato lasagna (so fresh and satisfying honestly our favorite dish), Quesa-birria quesadilla (Smokey and loved the dipping sauces), Hearts of palm crab cake (inventive, not heavy despite being fried), and Mac and cheese (sweet and well done but skip if you don't like a cashew cheese flavor). Upon immediate entry, the atmosphere felt a bit lacking and the overall vibe did not quite match the energy I was expecting for the space. One thing that stood out was that several of the menu photos appeared AI enhanced, which actually made me less confident in what I was ordering. Ironically, everything that came out was beautifully plated and visually appealing on its own, so the AI edits felt unnecessary. Unfortunately, while visually impressive, the chicken spring rolls left much to be desired. They lacked flavor and the rice paper had a chewy texture that did not work well. The quesa- birria was much stronger overall, although I think the flavor profile could be elevated further with a white queso instead of yellow. On a positive note, the staff was very attentive and the food arrived quickly, which definitely improved the experience. Overall, it was a good experience with a lot of potential. With a few small improvements to atmosphere and some menu refinements, this could easily become a stronger dining destination. read more

My husband and I ate at Besos for dinner this past Friday. The food was delicious. We got the lettuce cups, quesa-birria, cauliflower steak and steak frites. The first two were incredible!! Cauliflower steak was solid and the steak frites were good but not our favorite although the French fries were 10/10. Cookies were so so good!! Wait time for food is not great but with them being a new restaurant, we let it slide. I'm sure they will perfect the service soon! read more

Extremely disappointed with the food here. The presentation was sloppy, there was no flavor and it was overpriced. Vegan food is good but needs flavor! I could hear screaming from the kitchen.
