Udon noodles (less soup, more savory) the flavor was a little too intense for me but try it if you like ginger / tempeh

I am so excited to report that this is the best vegan spot in Metro Detroit - maybe even Michigan! We took our mom who is a carnivore for Mothers Day and she agreed that the flavors were awesome and she did not miss the meat! We loved the Chicken summer roll (great to share) Heirloom tomato lasagna (so fresh and satisfying honestly our favorite dish), Quesa-birria quesadilla (Smokey and loved the dipping sauces), Hearts of palm crab cake (inventive, not heavy despite being fried), and Mac and cheese (sweet and well done but skip if you don't like a cashew cheese flavor). Don't pass on the carrot cake either which was spicy and comforting! In addition to the beautiful interior, elegant plating, and friendly staff Besos is a foodie win for vegans and meat eaters! Can't wait to come back

Overall, it's a great spot when you want something classic done right: solid food, fresh ingredients, and a comfortable, easy experience

The vibes, food, drinks, and service were great. I will definitely come back & recommend. Besos is a perfect addition to downtown.

Jeff as our server was a delight! He took good care of us. We stuck around long enough that we hated to see him moving on to the room for a party celebration. We even tried to order a second meal but they had to make way for reservations! We will be back! Our food was soooo good! I had the B-Fast Sandy and one pancake. My bestie had the shrimp & grits plus three different flapjacks! The pancakes/flap jacks are huge. This was a perfect location to celebrate Woman's History Month since this is an award winning restaurant, owned by a woman.

It's always a busy time for establishments, especially when it comes to holidays, but we repeatedly kept getting seated and "unseated" (the hostess would seat us, but then take us back to common area as the tables were either dirty or not ready). I didn't personally care about this, but I definitely noticed my party getting a bit frustrated by the experience as it happened about 4 times before we officially got seated, which also exceeded our initial reservation time. The service itself was okay. I wish they would've come around a bit more as we were out of water while eating our meal, but I know it was super busy that day!! I ended up getting the soft shell crab sandwich and it was pretty good! I think it would be even tastier with more sauce on the bun, but overall a nice pick. I also tried the lobster bisque; it had a nice texture with the little lobster bits, but found it overly salty. Hush puppies were a nice, crispy texture and I loved the sweet butter with it! One thing I absolutely loved about this experience was the mother's day flower pop-up stand! The cutest way to walk in and support another local business.

We were promptly seated just after the happy hour began and there were some tables taken up already. Service was excellent. Very attentive and helpful. We ordered the ribs, fried chicken bites, and then each of the happy hour sushi rolls. The stars of the show were the ribs and fried chicken. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. They weren't too sugary either, but definitely had some sweet to them. I'm not a huge rib guy, but these were special. The fried chicken was equally delicious. It came with a sauce that was very good too. Would go back just for those two items. The sushi was good, but not the best I've had. My favorite was probably the shrimp tempura roll. Spicy tuna roll was pretty good as well. Because of how good the ribs/chicken were, this gets a 5 star. The happy hour pricing was very reasonable. Normal pricing a bit rough.

It really added to the whole experience. For starters, we shared the hamachi and crispy rice, both of which were fresh and delicious. For mains, we got the pork ribs and the chicken fried rice, and honestly, the fried rice was a highlight. The panko-crusted chicken pieces in it were such a clever touch. The ribs could use additional flavor (think more ginger-soy). I also loved the cucumber mocktail, which was so refreshing and a great option if you're not drinking. I really enjoyed my French onion soup and Caesar salad. The salad was very crisp and fresh. We had the Burrata as our starter and it was beautiful. My friend enjoyed her lobster benedict. The place is beautiful, and well maintained. They had the Easter bunny there, and caricatures available. There was a mix up with our bill, due to lack of communication on our servers end. We ended up being charged for a child's meal (we have a 6 1/2mo baby, under 2 is free) and gave an extra tip. We were not told there was automatic gratuity on the bill added already. (I've also never heard of auto gratuity on a bill for only two people.) However the manager Elaine handled the situation very graciously and corrected the issues without hesitation. We would return in the future based off how the situation was resolved!

Thankfully, there was an extra set of silverware on the table that someone gave me. Also whoever's in the kitchen, or whoever prepares the desserts, apparently didn't think to look at the menu and see that there were four ingredients to my dessert. They initially only gave me two of them. I had to ask for the other two and basically build it myself. Having said that, I loved the atmosphere and the food, once it was correct, was delicious! I had the BHP Crunchy Friatta (their take on a frittata). It was delicious, but those Hungarian peppers were SPICY!! I had the Strawberries & cream for dessert (from the brunch menu). They literally brought me a bowl of strawberries and cream, so I told the waiter it was supposed to have granola, which he didn't know. After he left to get me the granola, I remembered it was also supposed to have a raspberry compote type thing on it. He also didn't know that.

I have been here several times now and have loved every experience. While I have enjoyed the tacos and sliders, it was their steak fries and fish and chips that made me joyous. The first reminded me of this spot in Paris where I had steak frites for the first time and fell in love with a great steak, and the second reminded me of sitting with my cousins in Liverpool. Everything was perfectly made. To top it all off, the service was nothing short of spectacular. Quick, efficient, attentive. I've always had a great time.
