In January 2021, I took my car in to get its AC serviced because it wasn't very strong. The tech I was working with seemed knowledgable when he explained that the o-rings needed to be replaced, but after getting the car back, the AC was still weak and declined over the years until there was nothing. I found out recently that one of the AC lines on the car was the completely wrong part, causing it not to seal and thus the refrigerant leaked over time. Before this, the one and only time I had the AC worked on was when I took it here. All the reviews mention that this place is detail-oriented, but this was not my experience since the completely wrong part was put back onto the car. This place is not cheap, so I expected better quality, but I did not receive it. Given the other stellar reviews of this place, I'm pretty sure what happened to me is a one-off exception rather than the norm, but I will not be taking any of my vehicles here nor recommending this place to anyone after my experience. read more

I've been coming here to install mods on my Lexus cause they seem to track some Lexus's as well. They had previously installed my midpipe and foglights no problem as well as some oil changes. But a few weeks ago, I went in for a brake pad change, airfilter change, and diffuser install. I got a call from someone working there telling me that I bought the wrong front brake pads. Which I did not after checking several forums and double checking the S/N before and after I bought the pads. So he sells me break pads for JUST my front breaks....for $200!! After he told me that I had the wrong pads, he tells me that all 4 corners of my rotors were shot. My car is CPO with less than 10k miles driven in 2 years. ...How is that even possible. Reluctantly I accepted and hoped that the rotors were somewhat close to what I wanted to replace them with. First thing I noticed when I got my car back, the front right axle felt like it wanted to constantly throw me to the side, which I then needed an alignment to fix. Second, after breaking in these new rotors (Which they charged me $500 for all 4 corners just for some Autopart International Parts that warp after 3k miles, INSANE) they did not have as much end bite as OEMs and they smoked and smelled burnt constantly after braking the new rotors in. I was hoping this shop would be the shop my Lexus friends would all come to, but I really guess there is no real honest mechanics in the bay at all anymore. Maybe is the pandemic making them act shady, but I will not be coming back and I will not be telling any of my friends to come here either. read more

I had them originally install a dashcam in my first car and loved the work. Wires were perfectly hidden and I didn't seem to struggle with any battery issues with it being hardwired. Followed up with a second installation this week in my other car after trying to find somewhere closer to SF to do it to avoid needing to commute back to the city after dropping the car off. Everywhere I called said they couldn't do it because their insurance wouldn't be able to cover it. Eventually I was recommended back to One Auto and realized it was the same folks who installed my other car's dashcam. I came here on recommendation from a friend. Not only was the oil change and service much faster than expected, the prices were much lower than the dealership I used to go to. For my annual check-up, they topped off all the fluids in my car, reset my service lights, checked my tires and did an oil change in less than an hour. I've since gone back for other minor things - like getting that annoying city street parking permit off my bumper - they had that off in less than 20 minutes and had a very reasonable charge for it. At this point, they recognize me when I come in -- which is a nice part of supporting our local business. People at the dealer ship charger 180 plus taxes( including engine oil, the engine oil cost 100)! I said I don't need your certain system to check it he said it comes with the package! Really??? I found this car shop on Yelp- I called 3 other shops to get quotes and so far, Jin's the most sincere and fair one. I came in today for an oil change. I also asked for a quote on 60K service ($410) and alignment ($120). Decent prices, I think. My car hasn't reminded me for a 60K service so I'll just wait. I got 4 new tires 4 weeks ago and need an alignment so I'll be back here first thing tomorrow morning for that since I have a limited time today. I was able to use the first time check in discount of 5% off. My oil change was $137+ (with tax) with Mobil synthetic oil. This review for now is based on customer service Jin provided. He's detailed and very warm, gave me fair quotes and took his time asking questions and providing options. I'm hoping this shop will be my go-to going forward and will recommend it to family and friends as well. I have a Benz CLA 250 (2014) Sports Edition. 4.7.17 - Jin has been very accommodating. I came back today (again, I came back yesterday), because my "check engine" light was on and off. It was not like that until an oil change was performed. Jin scanned it and found out what the issue was. He explained to me what's going on. It's not a big concern but he advised me to let him know if the light is on again for at least 3 consecutive days. He also recommended an alignment shop bec he realized that my car is newer and they don't have the proper machine for alignment. This shop is one of those where you don't feel indimidated by the mechanic. Normally I take my Porsche to the dealership but since I was close by and didn't want to bother towing it, I decided to give them a try. My coolant hose was visibly cracked and steam burning off the block. Coolant was spilling out. I called the Porsche service and they want to do diagnostic tests, I'm pretty sure Porsche dealership will not cover it out of warranty and I already repaired a PDK issue that was out of warranty. Honestly Porsche should not be using such crappy material in the first place. Matthew and Jin took care of my situation and delivered on the estimated cost and checked in with me before the work was done. They completed the repair on time as promised. Hey thought I share my experiences with this auto shop, basically my wife hit a curb and messed up the alignment and I called in for an alignment. They charged me 45 for an inspection that wasn't necessary and on top of that said my control arm needed to be replaced and told me it was going to cost 450 to replace. I went to another autoshop and they fixed it for 100 bucks and said the alignment could be done and the autoshopped lied about my control arm. Glad to have found these guys. They are reasonably priced and honest. Brought my car in for 25000 mile service. That's an oil change and tire rotation and cabin air filter swap. I wasn't sure I needed the air filter. I used to swap that myself on my old car because the previous shop I went to charged $90 for the parts and labor. I would just get the filter online for $15 and do it myself in a couple minutes. Matthew said, "I'll just pull it out so you can see and then decide." Came back with my dirty filter 90 seconds later. "I can get a new one for you and swap it today. $20 for the filter. And we don't charge labor on it. We would feel bad charging labor on that because it's so easy. Like 1 minute, you know!" Done deal. Part arrived a couple hours later. I drove back in, waited about 2 minutes, and had my car back and ready to go. Extremely fair price. Not pushy. Honest. I never Yelp but this place was so fucking skeevy, I reported them to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and created an account here to warn people of this place. I came here because of the high reviews and now have ZERO idea how the hell this place has so many 5 stars. Maybe because they give you 10% off labor if you check-in and write? Maybe they're getting their friends to do it? Took my car in to get all 4 of my tires changed for $591.85. They say it's an easy ask and it'll take an hour. It takes two hours and change -- first red flag. A day later my tire pressure warning light lights up on my dashboard. I take it to the gas station to check my air, but my tires are full. I follow YouTube videos to try and manually it turn off, it won't. This is my second red flag so I take it back to One Auto to ask what went wrong with the repair. They insist it wasn't their fault. That if they broke it then the light would have immediately showed once they handed the car back to me. They run all 4 tire sensor readings against their computer and find that the right front tire sensor isn't registering. They'll be happy to fix it for me they say... for an additional whopping $173.30**. Hell fucking no. I am 100% convinced they screwed something up, and that if I hand my car back over that they'll just cover it up. I take my car to another mechanic down the street who quotes $105 to fix the sensor pressure (**note the huge price difference). I let the new mechanic work on the car. This new mechanic finds that One Auto not only BROKE MY TIRE SENSOR but DUCT TAPED IT BACK ON MY CAR in such a fashion that my car wouldn't immediately recognize something was broken. I've attached photos for proof. Thanks for reimbursing me the $105, I guess. But ultimately you're telling me you had the nerve to claim zero fault with the original repair and then had the balls to ask me to pay for the damage you knowingly caused and tried to cover up. Avoid this place like the fucking plague. read more

I found this place on Yelp because they had great reviews and it is all true. Jin and Matt go above and beyond for their customers. My car broke down with an engine light on Monday at 2:30pm they were able to see the car right away. They diagnosed the car by 6:30pm. The car was back to me by 6:00pm the next day. I only needed a rental car for 1 day! I even asked them to hold out on the repairs for the night because I wanted to do some research. When I called at 9:00am the next day to give the go ahead they had already ordered the parts (just in case). They also offered to drop me at the car rental place and stay 10 mins after closing to let me pick up my car. They made this stressful process painless and I will bring my car back if it needs anything else. *If anyone wants to know my engine was misfiring and was very rough to ride ( 4 cylinder). The engine light was on. They replaced two coils and the spark plugs and ran diagnostics. read more

When exploring through the myriad options that were available, I had to find a shop that would be excepting of the tow service I would use and would take the best care of my car (Honda CR-V). Jin and Matthew took immaculate care of me and my car, updating me in a timely manner and were transparent not only about the work being done, but giving me solid turn around times and running options by me as they came up. My car had literally stopped working on the road and they determined my alternator had gone out.
