Update- Been meaning to update this. I did speak to the owner on the phone, when I was calling to try and thank Tom for being professional and decent person, and the owner apologized for what happened. He told me how the staff there at the time handled it terribly wrong and it shouldn't have been done that way in the slightest. He did offer me to come back in when he was working and he would actually replace the BEC for free, like I was originally told. I haven't been back yet and kind of still don't want to, especially if that one guy (forget his name, but short guy with glasses) with a terrible attitude who hates his life is still working there. He will be the downfall of the shop sadly, along with the other workers who followed his lead and got nasty with me when I pointed out how it was them who messed up and them who said I would get a free replacement and then them who tried to make me pay again. I do thank the owner for being super chill and I hope he fired or fires that one guy. read more

Food was good, service was poor. Stood around for 10 minutes with staff passing by making no attempt to take my order or say anything at all (like "just a minute") until I just had to leave because I'd wasted my break time. Another time the SAME older bald man working there was very rude, sliding a fully-wrapped, unidentifiable sandwich on a plate across the counter towards the crowd of people waiting for food and raising his voice at me when I didn't realize that it was mine specifically. He never said what kind of sandwich it was or who it was for, just shouted "MA'AM", to which I assumed was me?? Haven't given them my money since, I advise you to do the same. read more

AMAZING!!! Literally still thinking about this sandwich - I got the golden turkey on a sesame bagel toasted with mayo and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. I've come here a handful of times and have not been disappointed once. Service is fast and the food is great. Sometimes I order the same sandwIches and they come out consistently delicious. Their bread is awesome. It helps to know that they open early as soon as they finish making the bagels. I've seen some of the reviews and hopefully they'll come back and give them another chance. They work on your food right in front of you -- since I've been coming here, they have been sanitary. It gets pretty busy in the morning time but the line moves. Here's what we usually order: - BLT on an everything roll - Philly Cheese on an everything bagel - the Warrior Sandwich on every which way - guac (but we change it just avocado freshly sliced), grilled chicken, roasted red pepper, mozzarella cheese and Italian dressing - bacon, egg and cheese on an everything roll - macaroni salad - potato salad They are generous with the meat, I'd say...and that's why I love this place. Now that I live in Philadelphia, I often crave New York bagels. Last time I was home I made sure I had one before coming back, and I'm glad I went here for it. I had a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese - classic and the texture was perfect. Also plenty of cream cheese (Philly doesn't get how important this is!). I do wish they let you do your own milk and sugar when ordering coffee, because mine had too much sugar so it wasn't so enjoyable after awhile. The space is old and dirty looking They only accept cash I want to support any small business, Panera is across the street and competition must be tough.
