BUYER BEWARE - the worst Best Buy in the country - needs to be. Does not answer Geek squad calls and actually. I was told by one of the GS folks that they actually will rebox up preopened/used electronics and sell them as new. they do this because they are told not to send back to returns to the HQ and they are actually selling returned or problem electronics as new. you need ot ask if it is actually new or has it been used because they will not tell you. there are a few very honest and open employee's there - try to get one of the because they are really good. read more

Allow me to begin this review by pointing out that I absolutely despise Best Buy. I honestly laughed out loud smugly when I heard their profits had fallen 90% last year. Me and my girlfriend have been trying to get rid of cable for several months and we went to this Best Buy for some advice on the best way to accomplish this. The first time we spoke with an associate who was friendly, but when we got home and tried the Roku we had purchased, it became obvious that he was not very well trained on this particular product and, rather than ask another employee, he told us what we wanted to hear to get us to make a purchase. The main problem was that he informed us that the Roku was compatible with YouTube -- I was apprehensive about this because of all the random, barely known apps displayed on the package, YouTube was no where to be found and asked several times if he was sure -- when it in no way was. On our second visit, we returned the Roku and bought a Blu Ray player that was compatible with Net Flix and all the other services we wanted. We ended up, yet again, returning this because the promises made to us by the salesperson ended up being far from the performance that this product was capable of delivering. We finally tired of the cheap, gimmicky products and decided to just buy an Xbox, as this is what we heard delivered the best performance for streaming content. We went and had a few simple questions we wanted answered before we purchased an Xbox -- they were questions my teenage brother could have answered just because he plays a lot of video games -- but we were repeatedly told by salespeople that they were not familiar enough with the Xbox to help us. This is when a breakthrough finally occurred. A nice guy named Mason came over and it was quickly apparent that he truly wanted to help us. Even though Best Buy, for whatever reason, chooses to have the Xbox on display blocked from doing almost anything that a customer might want to see on a demo, he went above and beyond to make sure our questions were answered. We took it to the counter to pay for it. The same employee, Brandon, who had rang us up on our second visit was cashiering. When we made our first purchase we were talked in to getting a Best Buy credit card to save $20 off of our purchase. We were not sure if the product was going to be the right fit and specifically asked if this credit would be transferable if we returned it and got something different. We were told that it would be. The second time we made bought something it took a bit of back and forth, but we did eventually get the $20 discount. Since it was the same person on our last visit, we thought it would be no problem to get the discount. Unfortunately, Brandon informed us that he had gotten in trouble for giving us our discount and would not be able to do it again. We said we would just walk and buy it elsewhere since Best Buy had the absolute highest price and he said there was nothing he could do. While mulling it over (since we really did want to watch TV), we began talking with Landon about possibly buying a Chromebook to use for streaming content. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions. In the end, the Chromebook was what we ended up purchasing. And in case you are trying to get rid of cable, I would highly recommend it. I do not hold it against any of the people who were far from helpful who worked here because I know Best Buy nixed their employee's commission years ago -- the employees even mention this to you almost anytime you talk to them. I think this company's greed and trying to nickle and dime people by charging for things like installing a screen protector purchased from them will eventually send this company the way of Borders. The 3 employees I mentioned are the reason for the second star; you should give all of them raises before they take their excellent customer service skills somewhere else. read more

Warning! Best Buy (Corporate) has changed its return policy and now you only have 15 days to return something that you bought! Their signage is posted on their registers around the location of your naval and unless you are a "little Person", you won't notice it.. The manager listened to my complaint politely and then coldly said, "this this is our policy, sorry". I got a gift card for the amount and luckily sold it to my neighbor. But I won't set foot in their store again. Let's stop giving these big box stores our business and shop else where! read more

This is going to be a short review. Did an appointment to install some sound stuff in my car almost "a month ago". Today was my day finally! Installation guy didn't show up and my appointment was moved to their "next available"!! In two more weeks!! Seriously?!? The supervisor's that "handle" this situation name was Zack. Best answerd he got was that his employee has the right to call in sick... Best buy REALLY need to work a lot harder on their customer service skills and management. Every time I walk into Best Buy I leave angry. Today is no exception, unfortunately. I walked in looking for a simple HDMI switch so I could hook up my Blu-Ray player to my TV. You would think they would know what this is all about. it took five of the supposed experts in the store to even find them, then they tried to sell me the wrong thing. Of course everything at Best Buy is overpriced unless it is on sale. They make a killing by overcharging for accessories and then not allowing returns when they are wrong or don't work. I'm now stuck with an over priced HDMI switch that is broken that they won't take back for a credit or refund. I hate shopping here and I will just wait for online delivery from now on. I waited for an associate to help me out for about 20 minutes. The store was in no way busy or crowded, I just figured I'd wait there looking at things before I was assisted. Right before I was about to walk out the door I was approached by someone. I ended up trading a game in, but they almost lost my business. Deserves one star at most. Super shitty customer service I was quoted an outrageous price to fix my laptop, and if you don't have insurance or warranty you might as well kill yourself because they will not help you at all. Geeks quad is useless they are full of a whole bunch of kuks who will say they can fix your computer But will ask $50 of you to send it in to their IT people and get it estimated. I'm never coming back ever. I went to this shop to buy an S7 Edge. The sales person told me to go look for it on the shelf. Then asked her if she was not going to attend me, show the phone, etc. Then I was amazed with her ask: "But are you going to buy it?", and when I said "yes, that's what I'm here for", she replied "but are you aware of how much it cost?", so again I said "yes, I just want to buy the phone, are you able to sell it to me or should I go to another vendor/store?", and them she was able to give me the attention needed. In the end they didn't have the phone, so I left after 10 minutes trying to convince a sales person that I had the money and was worthy of buying a phone. This is the smallest Best Buy I've been to, but it meets my basic electronics needs. Their staff is friendly enough and I'm usually able to find what I'm looking for as far as cables and odds and ends I need around the house go. A pretty horrible experience from beginning to end (and we'e not quit there yet). Ordered a camera online, returned it to the store for a new version. Was suppose to pick it up today but after the 3rd call found out the order had never been placed, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A RECEIPT. So I paid for the item and only after the 3rd call where I insisted on finding out what was going on did I find out it was never ordered-- even though as the manager said that can't happen...But wait, it did happen. After spending 30 minutes (3rd call) with an associate where I never once got an apology --he actually tried to shirk it on to someone else, even though he was the person who handled the sale originally!! The manager listened BUT really didn't acknowledge what had happened, just pushed ahead about trying to get the 1k camera in -- which I appreciate but I think some disaster management would have helped out. Sorry for the experience, the EGREGIOUS errorS,the hassle, the time and effort it has taken, ETC. A dose of acknowledgement would have gone a long way. read more

I've been into this Best Buy a few times to purchase apple accessories. recently, i purchased an apple router and found they had a big selection of wireless routers. The location of this Best Buy is a bit odd and the store is much smaller than most that I've been to but the staff is friendly and I've always found what I was looking for here. read more

I went in to get a printer. Anywhere I went I had employees asking if I needed assistance, at least 7 or 8 times. After saying no to the first one, it was incredibly annoying being constantly pestered. Also had one employee constantly hovering around me, 5 feet away at all times. Not helpful. read more

Employees are always asking if they can help you, which is nice if you need it. I like how its easy to get into and out of for what I need without any headaches. The selection is ok as far as Best Buys are concerned and usually you can find what you are looking for. read more

I was impressed with the help I received when I returned an item that I had lost the receipt. Instead of stating that there was a company policy of not accepting any return item without a receipt and her hands were tied , the clerk named Kat took extra steps to trace the purchase and then allowed me to pay the difference for the right item I needed. She was smiling and friendly throughout the transaction. A good person and a well trained employee. read more

Dont buy anything here, i had to create a yelp account solely to share how bad my experience here was. I gave them my laptop for a simple fix, they tried to charge me 300 for a data backup because they didnt have the part in stock (there was no internal damage, turns out later after I dont pay they actually have the part in store) and would have to replace the whole laptop. I said no, send it back it was a simple fix I'll do it myself. They sent it back severely broken after 2 months, broken to the point where I eventually got a new laptop. I bought an "out of the box" Lenovo from the Best Buy in Boulder. It didn't have an internet card that worked. They completely failed to take responsibility for the fault and refused to compensate me for migration costs that almost doubled due to the non-working internet card. Really terrible customer service on the back end, and obviously no real quality control on their out of the box products. I would never trust their out of the box products again, nor the Geek Squad that obviously missed a big problem with this computer. read more

Usually avoid Best Buy but finally decided to purchase a nice TV, and wanted a little more guidance than is available at Target. Pleasantly surprised at Best Buy. Salesperson was not pushy at all, walked me through the pros/cons of each type of TV and aided with my decision in getting a 55 inch plasma. Also, put up with me calling my dad every 5 minutes to ensure his approval. Blue shirt was very helpful in figuring out financing and helped dolly the TV to my car. Good, patient customer service, and very happy with my purchase. Good on you, Best Buy. read more

To bad I have to give a star should give them negative stars. Bought a tablet the device stoped working after 2 month. Some hoe the convinced me to put it in a "best buy" credit card (that's real should call them self "worst buy") that's didn't send me the card for more than 4 months but told credit agency's that I don't make my payments. Until I had this card my credit was at 700 and they took it all the way down to low 500 with negative records of mist payments.... be careful! read more

Terrible customer service experience. Went in to store twice to try to schedule car installation. Each time there was no one there from the department and the geek squad could not help me. Tried over the phone for the next two days and no one answered phones. Went into store which was fully staffed the same day and finally scheduled appointment after researching parts and ordering them myself since the store could not help me initially. The night before installation I get a phone call canceling my appointment. I then call back immediately after to reschedule, no one answers phone, then call the Longmont location, which puts me on hold before telling me their system is down. Seriously the worst experience ever. Because I already purchased installation as part of a package, I am stuck dealing with Best Buy. Would recommend buying the equipment and taking your business elsewhere for installation read more

Awful, awful, awful. They promised us delivery yesterday between 12:00 and 2:00. We waited past 3:00, then they finally called to say their truck broke down. After hassling us about the rescheduled delivery, they said they would make it today between 10:00 and 12:00, and call my cell phone 30 minutes before arrival. At 11:45 they called the house to say they were running about 40 minutes late. We waited longer. At 12:40 they called yet again to say delivery would be at 1:20. So, a total of over six hours we waited for the delivery over two days. Even when we provided a cell phone number for them to call to give us updates, they continued to call the house number. Completely useless. With the way they don't show up when promised, these guys should go work doing installations for Comcast. read more

I really liked the installation guys...but there was just one problem after another with damage to the washer and laundry room and forever on hold trying to deal with it...wrong part ordered for replacement....waiting at home for hours for the repairman.....endless. The MOD, Zack Milano, was excellent in his customer service. He not only served me well by quickly meeting me at the desk when asked for and then checking me out nearly a significant amount of time later, but he was also polite to other customers who came up to the desk with inquiries. It is really important to quickly acknowledge customers -- even as the one being helped, I appreciated the acknowledgement. Anyway, great customer service; best visit to Best Buy Boulder, yet... even though many problems with my device is what brought me in in the first place! The visits leading to this one were not the best... I love the staff at Best Buy Boulder but the Geek Squad at the corporate level SUCKS. And the efforts to constantly fix the same issue on my laptop was SUPER annoying and inconvenient. Additionally, shout out to Zach Jacobs, who was really patient with me in my pacing back and forth for at least half an hour, trying to pick the right device. Zack and Zach provided me with exceptional customer service, from product search and pricing to making the customer feel appreciated and as receiving what it deserved. read more

My wife and I went in today to look at new smartphones for purchase. A pair of phones of the model we were interested in were not set up correctly for demo (one at 0% battery and one stuck in a firmware update). We attempted to get help from the woman at the cell phone service counter who said there wasn't anything she could do. We then tried to get a pack of 6 associates and 1 security guard to help us, but they were too busy goofing off to raise a finger to help us. We gave up, walked out, and went to another store. For a company that is struggling to compete with online sales you'd think that they'd have their staff focus on customer service. read more

Best Buy has been one of my go to stores over the years including when I bought my Samsung Smart tv 4 years ago. Yesterday my remote was not working, so I went there to replace it. Trip 1, a very nice sales rep sold me a universal remote that I took home, and it worked, but not for all the functions. I went back and spoke to a very uninterested man who is in charge of the tv department. He said we don't sell replacement remotes, but you could go on Amazon. I tried to remember the last time I was on Amazon and they told me to get in my car and drive to Best Buy.... Hmmm, that would be never. I just had the worst customer experience ever with the auto tech at Best Buy in Boulder, Colorado. We dropped our car off last week for a previously scheduled appointment to look at the car radio. They did not even look at the car. We reschedule for this Friday after talking to the manager of the store. The tech insulted my wife tonight, ignored the appointment saying he refused to work late. Next he refused to look at the car and was purposefully ignoring our request to talk to the manager. We provided our order number with the car installation on it and he look it up incorrectly and rudely told my wife to come with the receipt next time and his time wouldn't be wasted. I tried to talk to him on the phone because my wife was really frazzled and he rudely interrupted me each time I tried to answer his question. I just hung up from trying to contact the store manager after being on the phone for 20 minutes. read more

I've bought two tvs at this location in the past 2 months. 1st was fine - a woman employee got a cart and helped me load the tv after purchase. 2nd time some man employee said "carts are up front" when I asked for one and the suggested the 50 inch tv and holes in the box to carry it - didn't help me at all... When I got to the front some other guy just stood there and watched as I struggled to get it out the door and into my car. The woman was great, but what I really remember is these lazy fools not helping me. I'd suppose this is a result of poor management.
