Was assisting a friend replacing a battery in a vehicle that they were storing for a friend. Conflicting data on the OE battery and what the replacement brand was suggesting. Chad was very knowledgeable about the replacement brand and what the actual battery group size was that was removed from the vehicle, regardless of the battery markings. I have been going to this store for about two years since I moved to the area and the customer service has always been great. If the store didn't carry the part I needed, they would offer suggestions for alternatives of find it at another store. The best experience was when I took the battery I replaced from my car in for recycling and they gave me a store gift card for $10., even though I had purchased the replacement battery elsewhere. This store, because they sell motor oil, is tasked with accepting used motor oil from customers. However, of the dozens of times I've either brought used oil to their store or called to confirm that they are accepting used motor oil, not once have they actually accepted it. EVERY time, I'm told that their tanks are full. EVERY time. Over dozens of attempts over the last three years, not once have they been able to accept the oil. It's also interesting that the employees who explain the refusal by O'Reilly's seem to have a full one-minute spiel prepared explaining their excuse. It almost sounds like they are reading a prepared response. So, doesn't it seem as though a competent management team would have addressed this failure? It's ongoing. It frustrates and disappoints customers. It puts employees in the difficult position of having to constantly apologize for the issue. Might I conclude that O'Reillys stores just don't want to deal with it? Are they even attempting to improve the situation, or are they just a bunch of clowns? So, I'm going to follow up, and check California statutes and regulations requiring retailers to accept used oil. read more

I've always been treated well at O'Reilly's so when my battery died that's where I went. The last time I bought a battery it was probably $50-$60 so I was in for some post-pandemic price sticker shock. The battery I needed was $187 for 2-years and $350 for 4-years. Additionally, O'Reilly's could sell me the battery but a mechanic had to install it in my car. I was given a list of local mechanics to call. Fortunately, I got Debbie at Cameron Park Auto. Debbie must be psychic because she sensed I really needed help when I hadn't said a word. I will explain in more detail when I do her review because she was really amazing. Anyway, Debbie talked to Josh at O'Reilly. Josh found me a better battery at a great price. John installed it at no additional charge. I am really grateful to them for going the extra mile for me. I've interacted with Joe (who I think is the manager) on multiple occasions and he really does go above and beyond to ensure that I leave a satisfied customer. If it wasn't for him I would've had my car towed home and missed work the next day. He helped my dad and I diagnose the issue and lended us tools for us to use and ultimately fix my Camry and get it back running. Being the fact this store is walking distance from my home & practically in my backyard, I am ALWAYS here at this location. Ryan (I think he might be one of the managers), is the BEST. He is ALWAYS super helpful and he is my go to guy, whenever I'm needing help finding something that I can't figure out on my own. The only thing I don't like is the fact that this store closes an hour earlier than the other ones, but being the fact the guys know me at this location now, I feel comfortable only going to this store. They also price match, and have honored that a few times for me, which has also been a huge plus! My car had a dead battery at the nearby Safeway store today in the pouring down rain. I called Oreilly and the nice woman said she would send someone over within the next five minutes. A friendly man showed up, jump started my car, showed me the problem (corrosion) and said I should get it cleaned with all the coldness we will be having. He showed me the sticker on the battery and said I should probably start looking at getting a new one. I appreciated that he didn't pressure me into getting one but I told him I'd go to Oreilly and get one today. I bought a new battery and the guy cleaned my connectors (it was bad) and installed the new one - all while it was pouring down rain. I am super grateful that they provide all of these extra services - all with a smile!!! read more

We were ready to leave early in the morning for a two week travel trailer trip to Arizona only find that our truck had a dead battery. We were able to get a jump and drove to O'Reilly and waited for the store to open at 7:30. They opened promptly at 7:30 and I entered and explained my issue. I brought my sister in laws car in to get battery tested. Soon as I walked in I was greeted by a big smile from joe. I let him know what I needed and he immediately was on it for me. Of course the battery is dead and I need a new one. He recognized their battery let me know it could Still be under warranty, and it was. He got a new battery and changed it in the parking lot for me. He also noticed my maintenance light on, so he checked my oil and transmission fluid. Talk about ABOVE AND BEYOND. I came into O'Reily's in Cameron Park needing a part to better secure one of my battery cables to my battery. It was after a long day at work, and coming out to my car not starting at all. So need less to say, I was a bit irritated with my situation when I arrived here. Also, I thought it was going to be nearly impossible to find someone to listen to me painfully trying to explain my situation, due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to cars. I was immediately greeted by Joe, who was standing behind the counter. He was very kind and patient as I attempted to explain my situation. Without hesitation he offered to come out and take a look at what the problem was. Even with other customers in the store, he excused himself with his co-workers, and came right out to my car. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem, knew exactly what I needed to fix it and offered to fix it for me. I was very impressed and relieved to find out the part i needed was only $3. He didn't try to get me to buy something more expensive, he didn't try to sell me anything else, he simply rang me up for exactly what I needed and came right out and fixed the problem in less then 5min. The entire time he remained friendly, professional, and had a smile on his face. Absolutely was the best part of what had been a pretty lousy day. Everything I could have asked for exactly when I needed it. I'll definitely come back to this location in the future, and if I need help with anything, Joe will be the one I'm looking for! I won't be going back. Terrible customer service i received. Cashiers are not paying attention to customers. I was left standing in line like a respectful person while they allowed rude people, that came in AFTER i waited in line for several minutes, to be waited on first while i waited my turn. When i finally got to the cash register the cashier got me started and then went off to get something for another new customer while i waited a few more minutes for him to come back and finish my transaction. I finally pulled my debit card out of the machine and left my products on the counter. I guess it pays to be rude there but i will take my business elsewhere.
