I am the new #1 fan of this O'Reilly Auto Parts location! Talk about 5-star Yelp service... That is what I received today in my time of need. Fast, courteous and efficient people work in this store. And a great big thank you to Chris for proving again and again how many kind people are out there in this world. My battery in my car fob was on the verge of dying. I had no idea how much time I had left when my car alerted me it was low. I panicked. Far from home. Getting dark. Scared. I yelped auto shops and saw I was literally a mile from this company. My concern at this point was to get help. I did not care how many good Yelp reviews they had... just get there. When I walked in every counter was occupied by paying customers. I caught the eye of a person not dressed in uniform behind the counter. I think he saw the panic on my face and immediately asked if he could help. I explained my situation and he was on it from that moment on. He opened my fob and literally in seconds had a replacement battery inserted and put it back together again. And if that was not enough he pointed the fob at my car through the store window to ensure it worked. I will bet I was in and out in 10 minutes. Unbelievable! I am sooo grateful, Chris, for your help. And as it turns out... they have many great Yelp reviews. I am not surprised! I've been here before but came back looking for a replacement Honda Pilot air intake tube. The smog testing center made the diagnosis of a cracked tube that may impact my engine's efficiency. Fortunately O'Reilly had the part and I was quickly on my way. After replacing the part I came back as I wasn't sure the best way to dispose the old part. Walked in to see if they would check my oil as my older car tends to run low. The older guy behind the counter said it wasn't their policy, and I explained that the other stores in Rocklin and Roseville have no problem lending a hand and walked out! I found this O'Reilly Auto Parts store on Yelp when I needed the windshield repair kit Immediately when I was in Folsom. The store is tranquil when I'm there on a Sunday afternoon. The parking lot is pretty empty. I can park my car right in front of the store. When I walked into the store, it looked good, and I hoped they had the repair kit I was looking for. I'm fortunate they have the last pack there. I got it! Great! A couple of workers behind the counter will answer your questions. But they are not attentive, or I don't feel like they know I am there! But they are taking care of they jobs. I'm glad I found what I needed in the store. The parking lot looks safe and very clean. Very easy to go in and out. They lied about a battery core. I bought a battery from them. They told me to keep the receipt and bring back the old battery and they would give me ten dollars for the core. I did as the sales associate did and brought the battery in a couple of days later with the receipt. Did not see the sales associate that sold me the battery but the manager said I had to change the battery before I bought the new battery and would not give me the money back. I know it's ten dollars but it's integrity that is the point. I now go out of my way to go to Napa. They do what they say and say what they mean. I have always owed business myself and your word should be bond enough. I even showed my receipt. I am thinking perhaps the manager stole that money. Ten batteries a day. 100 in cash a day. Not bad. I went to O'Reilly - on a Saturday in the rain - Michael helped me figure out what bulbs I needed and replaced them for free! Been going here for years even back when it was Kragen but I had a bad experience at this store with an assistant manager named Kevin who flat out refused to look up a national account the company I work for has with them . Last night I went in to get windshield wiper blades, Dan checked me out at the register, then put on his jacket (it's raining out) and said he would put the blades on for me. It's rare to find businesses that provide this level of service. It's simple, I know, but the fact that I didn't have to ask for him to put on my blades is what made the service experience great. This location is great! The staff are very kind and helpful. They will even do a free code-reading on your car if the "check engine" light is on. They tried diagnosing the problem, and when I got home, I used my code-reader, and it came up as the exact same issue. I was also able to purchase the part I needed for the problem that came up on the reader at O'Reilly. They didn't have the part in the Folsom location, but they did have it at a Sacramento location.
