No pressure whatsoever, and no upselling of any additional products I "had" to have, which was refreshing. Visited the Best Buy in Glendora on Friday, July 31st approximately between 3:00 - 3:45p to purchase some headphones for my 2 1/2 year old daughter for an upcoming trip. Upon entering the store, I walked towards where I believed the headphones would be. I immediately noticed 3 males and 1 female congregating in conversation without them looking up to acknowledge me. I stopped for a moment looking at them in hopes one of them would ask me if I needed help, but this was not the case. I then walked around the display where the mobile phones, headphones, etc. were... when I noticed another male engaged in helping a couple with their purchase and decided to wait for him. At least I could see that he was willing to do his job. When he was done he stared to walk away when I asked him if he could please assist me. He literally turned his body half way and glared at me holding that side way stance and asked "what do you need?" I explained to him about the headphones I wanted to purchase for my daughter. He literally pointed in the direction of the few headphones that were there saying those or those! I wasn't clear as to which headphones he was referring to and asked which are you referring to? He then reluctantly with an irritated look on his face, walked over and pointed again those or those, I asked one question "are these ok for a child of 2?" He nodded "yes they should be" and swiftly walked away without another word. NEVER HAVE I EVER received and encountered such poor service! What a complete shame... however the one good thing I can say, instead of me purchasing the $60 headphones that I was examining, I came to the realization "why would I spend my hard earned money here!?" I left the store!When I got home I went onto the Amazon website and found the headphones and only paid $30 which made me very happy. Shame! I followed all prep instructions, including backing up my phone, charging it as directed, bringing my cable, and arriving on time. When I arrived, staff said they first needed to confirm the battery was available, then told me there wasn't enough technician time left to complete the repair. I was also told some of the preparations I completed wasn't needed and that I would have to disable Find My IPhone before the next appointment or it would be rescheduled again. I was encouraged to go elsewhere, including to an Apple Store or another Best Buy farther away, which wasn't practical for me. I appreciate that a new appointment is scheduled for August 5th at 12:40 p.m. However, I was also told parts are first come, first served. And that I should call an hour before to see if the battery is available. That leaves me uncertain about whether my confirmed appointment will actually be honored. The store offers a wide selection of products, and they do price match, which can make their pricing competitive at times. Having Geek Squad on site is also convenient. That said, the customer service could be more engaging. On several occasions, there were multiple employees standing around the computers or desks talking among themselves, which doesn't feel welcoming as a customer. My experiences with Geek Squad have been hit or miss--I often feel like there's reluctance to help without adding extra charges. read more

The Best Buy in Glendora feels super sized in the best possible way. It's a massive store, and walking in almost feels like entering a tech playground. I really appreciate how much they have on display to actually see and touch before buying, especially for bigger purchases where you want to compare options in person. I had recently bought an Anker slim portable charger at another Best Buy location near Oceanside. Unfortunately, it did not charge properly. I wasn't able to use it. I had to return it. I wasn't able to return it at that time. I waited until I got closer to home to return it. I was in the Glendora area and Best Buy was here. Great! It was in the evening. I walked right in and was greeted by an older gentleman. I told him I had a return and he directed me to the cashier area. Thank you sir! The young gentleman at the register handled the return transaction quickly. I was on my way out in a matter of a few minutes. Love how easy and fast it is to return merchandise at Best Buy. In late 2024, I bought a screen protector + installation package for my teenager's phone at Best Buy Glendora. The salesperson specifically told us it included free replacements and free installation for as long as she owns the phone, that's why we chose this more expensive option. The first replacement in mid-2025 went smoothly. However, when we returned two days ago for another cracked protector, the store manager, Greg, informed us that the policy had changed, and free installation was no longer offered. I explained that we were never notified of any change and asked them to honor the original terms we purchased under. I politely repeated my request to "grandfather" our plan, but Greg repeatedly claimed he "didn't understand" while being clearly condescending and dismissive. When I mentioned I prefer supporting brick-and-mortar stores for better service, Greg arrogantly replied that Best Buy is a billion-dollar company and my business "won't affect his store." The message was loud and clear: your loyalty and your business don't matter. I understand policies can change, but customers who bought in good faith deserve to have the original terms honored. The condescending attitude from the manager made the experience even worse. For the record, the nearby Monrovia Best Buy recently closed. If this is the level of management and customer care Glendora offers, I can see why customers are walking away. I will now be taking my business online where prices are lower and I don't have to worry about being belittled when I ask a store manager to honor the deal I originally agreed to. Best Buy corporate should take a hard look at both their warranty/replacement communication practices and at whether Greg is the right person to represent your brand in Glendora. 5/27/24 Finally got my Ninja Foodie Digital air fryer!! Paid $15.35 out of pocket Ever since I saw my auntie & cousin use their Ninja Foodi digital air fryer- I've been wanting one & waited for it to go on sale at Costco. It's usually $190 (yes I know it's $189.99 but rounding it up makes sense more to me ). Gas oven is cheaper than electric in essence, yes, I know--but space-wise when I'm thinking of using for small batches of food, I think emptying the contents of the oven, pre-heating etc takes more time & energy--versus using the Ninja Foodi. When we bought the washer/dryer/fridge at Best Buy last year, we received $250 gift cards from them (one worth $150, another $100). What's more, Best Buy price matches!! Their Ninja Foodi is priced at $219 while Costco has it on sale for $150. Trevor helped us and he's friendly & accommodating. Hubby showed him the price that Costco has & BAM! Do not believe anything the call center tells you. Called the number, was connected to a call center, who told me to come on in and that they had openings. They have the replacement battery in stock, the whole thing should take 30 minutes. When I got here, they had a line, totally fine. I waited, and when one of the two associates were done with the client they were helping.. he went put his computer away and then walked into the back. Not even an acknowledgment or "hey, my coworker will be with you in a moment" he just walked in back. Wiiiiillddddd! When i finally got to talking to the other associate, she let me know that they don't actually stock batteries at all on site. I have to order one from Amazon. I gathered that the call center isn't in the "know" and has no idea what's happening on the floor. They have appointments and they don't stock batteries. Get it together Best Buy. Step up your customer service game yo. A simple check in with me, before he went to the back while I waited in line would've saved me some time and made this visit way less annoying. Went in with credit card in hand to buy Ring products. I was greeted at the door which was great. 2 sales guys were sitting by the appliance section talking and laughing. Not once did anyone offer to help or answer questions or find someone who could. You know you'd sell more products if you waited on people! So.. I took a picture of the products and I left and went home and ordered on Amazon. Also ... at another location tho ... took in a PC to have operating system upgraded ... Geeks said it wasn't doable.... HA WRONG... took it to I Tech Express in Covina and it's upgraded and useable and I didn't have to get a new computer like they insisted was necessary at BB. If you don't know how to do something or don't know the answer, own it but don't lie to your customers. It's ok to refer jobs out. I second the other reviews that state that this is the worst Best Buy location I've been to, with terrible customer service and manager. The transaction was supposed to be straight forward. I was only picking up two products I bought online that were ready for me to pick up (as per the email I received) but I had to wait 40 minutes for them to "scan" the barcode in one of the products that was open box. I was the only person in line, no one else was waitingm and the whole time the employees and manager were clueless on how to find the info they needed. The manager ended up bypassing that scan by just making up a number. Why not doing that from the very beginning? But this didn't end here.. Before I took the product home, I checked with the manager herself to make sure the product had all its parts, which she assured me it had, as the only reason the product was listed "open box" was because it was used to be on display at the store, meaning it hadn;t been purchased by another customer. So you'd think that it still comes with all the parts and accessories, after all, best buy displays only the products but not the tiny accessories as they would obviously get stolen or lost It was only when I came back home that I noticed the product had 7 missing parts, and it was then that I realized the manager had 0 idea about the actual parts that were supposed to come with the product, to properly advice me before I take the product home. That is deceiving to the customers. And I'm mentioning this because the information online about the product was very ambiguous, so you would think that by checking with the manager you'd have a better insight. she probably just made that up as well, like she made up the number (after 40 minutes of failed attempts) for me to be able to take the product home (that I paid in advance on an online purchase and was supposed to be ready for pick up) The box they gave me the product in, was a disaster as well. very badly taped and showing signs of being broken (It wasn't even the actual box of the product) After I came back to the store, her only solution was to refund me or just credit me 40 bucks in store credit. Like, what for? The last thing I'll do is to purchase anything at that store again. Had I been the manager I would have offer the customer with another product for the exact same price the customer paid or an extra refund for the missing parts not listed. Worst place to buy appliances. I ordered a stove a month and a half ago. It was suppose to be delivered today. I took the day off work and had gotten the night before the delivery time from 3pm to 7pm. Delivery was cancelled AFTER 7pm due to truck breaking down. I went into store to get refund so I can order from somewhere else and am unable at the time to get it because it's not on the system as not being delivered yet. All around a terrible experience. I dropped off my computer to fix a simple bug and the repair. I first had to call and make a appointment to walk into the nearly empty Best Buy. I could not juts walk in, I was required to call and make a n appointment. The repair has taken over 3 days so far. When I called to check the status the phone number sent me to AI which could not understand my basic phrases and requests and hung up on me. Then calling Best Buy, Glendora CA again they sent me to the Phillipines where the rep, JR. could not understand what I was requesting, continue to request my personal details and eventually could not assist me in a simple phone transfer. I hope I never have to use Geek Squad again and I will certainly never buy anything from Best Buy if this is the stress that I will need to go through just to have basic servicing done on a product. Walked in with my 3rd old son to grab his Mom, my wife, a Breville Espresso Machine and I have never felt more uncomfortable shopping in my life! As I was coming in the store, one of the loss prevention employees asked me "if I was looking for anything in specific?" I said, "I was looking for an espresso machine if she could point me in the right direction." She pointed me in the direction, and when I was walking down the aisle with the LED lights, I remember that I also needed some lights that illuminated behind my cabinet. Within me being in that section, maybe 10 seconds, A young gentleman came up to me and asked me if he could assist me. He didn't have the specific lights I was looking for, and she then guided me over to the espresso machines. He was literally hovering over me the whole time while I was trying to make my selection between three different machines and I had to kindly ask him if I could take my time and pick something out that I am committed to, and that my wife would like. He then said that he could ring me up at the register directly behind us, it looks like where they ring people up for appliances, or the checkout line was in front of the store. It was overbearing, abrasive, and extremely uncomfortable to the point where I felt they thought I was going to steal something. I 95% shop on Amazon and I will now take my business to Amazon. Perhaps your company shouldn't make their customers feel uncomfortable in the store and let them shop and give them space. I even told the gentleman who is ringing me up who had about 3 pounds of gel in his hair that the customer service is extremely overbearing and made me feel uncomfortable and he needs to pass that onto the store manager. I made an appointment to repair my phone screen with Geek Squad a few days ago, where I was told it would be a simple process taking 2-3 hours. After giving them my phone, I am told that my information needed to be backed up, something they hadn't told me beforehand which would inevitably take another 4 or so hours. When the process finishes, the technician lets me know it'll take another 2-3 hours now that it can begin, and I should be able to pick it up by the end of the day. However, I received no call back regarding repair completion at the end of that day, and even until the afternoon of the next. I called the store instead and asked for the repair progress, only to be told then they had sent my phone to an Apple repair center without my knowledge. I would have to pick up the phone tomorrow. Keep in mind, this was a repair I was told would take 2-3 hours, but it is now taking 2-3 days, without ANY notification of this change at all. TLDR: Geek Squad didn't give adequate information prior to appointed repairs and made no effort to let paying customers know of any changes in their repair progress from 2-3 HOURS TO 2-3 DAYS. read more

I initially brought in my computer for a quick diagnostic, since it wasn't turning on (most likely motherboard BIOS update gone wrong) and long story short, Geek Squad held my computer for almost 5 days without any notice. When I came to pick it up today, they basically told me what I already suspected, and I was out $100 for something I already knew. I'm giving a favorable review because when I explained the situation and my frustration, the crew Erika, Martha (supervisor) and Jose (technician) provided exceptional professionalism and immediately gave a refund, AND helped install my new parts. Needless to say, I'm very thankful. There are some good, decent people that still work there. read more

I was trying to be patient because one of the employees was actively helping a customer. The other wasn't. Couldn't have been that hard to say we'll help you a minute to explain why he wasn't able to help me. But I attempted to be patient because I used to work in customer service and I get that some things are out of your control. So I started messing with the watch while I waited. I ended up leaving because I think I found a way to fix it myself while I waited. So don't waste your time if you're not completely inept with technology.
