I'm writing this review on behalf of my elderly mother, who recently had a very disappointing experience at the Verizon store in West Covina. She went in because her iPhone screen was completely frozen and she needed help getting it working again. Instead of taking a moment to look at the phone or try even the most basic troubleshooting, the representative she spoke with -- Steve -- brushed her off almost immediately. He told her there was nothing he could do and that she should call about her warranty to see if she could get a new phone. He didn't attempt a restart, didn't check the device, and didn't offer any real assistance. My mom left the store feeling dismissed, frustrated, and confused -- especially difficult for an elderly customer who came in specifically for help. When she got home, my brother performed a simple hard restart, and the phone worked perfectly again. This is something the store could have easily tried in seconds. It's disappointing that my elderly mother wasn't given even the most basic level of support. This store needs to improve its customer service, patience, and willingness to help -- especially when seniors come in needing guidance. read more

Hubby and I went to the store on a Sunday afternoon to pit an order in for our new phones. The representative put in our order and we got the notification for tracking when the phones were shipped. Come Thursday because we still hadn't received any text/call that our phones arrived so we checked tracking and it showed it was delivered on Wednesday afternoon and signed by April. Hubby called to inquire and was told they never received the packages..what?! We ended up going to another verizon closer to us after work and cancelled the 1st order and placed a new one and received shipping info. Friday (today) rolled around and we got a text saying our 'phone' arrived (yup just 1 phone according to the text) but our original order was cancelled (and the text did state she's from this location). So not sure what the heck is going on but we will not be making that unnecessary trip to this store and will just wait for our new order at the other location. read more

Went into the store today to return an iPad and case that was given to me on my birthday from my daughter. Unfortunately, the sales representative told her that this would be enough storage for what my needs were. Unfortunately, he doesn't understand the capacity of my job. In any case he made the sale and we had to try return it We were in another city and the representative. Elizabeth told us that we had to have the credit card with us or we could not return it. She also told us that we would be charged $50 restocking fee and $30 for set up fee for an item sold under false pretense. I am saddened today that a company of this size would treat their customers so poorly.. I now have to drive two hours out of my way to the location It was bought at and have my daughter meet me there to return the useless item. When I went into the store, the associate Elizabeth did try to have it returned to another car to no avail. It's a sad day when you know you have to walk into a Verizon store because the employees are ill equipped to do any function without making many phone calls to get approval to do their job., and in some cases are never given approval at all sending the customer on their way hours after sitting there and getting nothing . From my experience if you step into a Verizon store, it takes way too long to get anything accomplished, and if Verizon representatives sell equipment that doesn't work for an individual properly and they have to return it while they make money on that sale anyway with having to put a price tag of $50 for restocking fee and then also whatever set up fees they charge you. read more

My husband was scammed into a business plan by sales associates out of the West Covina Verizon store off Barranxa Pkwy almost 1 yr ago . They said we would get more and pay less than 140 that we were paying prior on a personal plan that had 2 phones and 3 gizmos . When the bill came , we stated paying over 200 3 months in and have been since. We don't even use the stupid Gateway or the Revwal starter . No one ever told us how to use it and customer service was a joke in trying to help figure it out. Through all this we have continued to pay for service and product we don't even use . After a shitty review on Yelp a supposed "superviser" named "Jordan " contacted my husband to "help" . He said that we could sent the equipment back and once they receive it , it will be taken off the bill and we would not be charged an early termination fee because we never used it and were scammed into thinking we'd pay less for crap we did t need or used. He sent me a shipping label at the end of April. I sent both equipment back a week later and never heard from Jordan ago . When I tried to call, the line had been disconnected . So convenient . I have since spoken with several customer service members online and through chat regarding this issue. I last called 7/8 and was told they would give me an update on my ticket number 318299. By the end of the day . Again , no one called me . And I am now forced to continually have to check in with new agents who have proven to be useless at best. Your company is pathetic and for a business plan this is the absolutes shittiest experience I have ever had to deal with. I am no longer a fan of Verizon. Verizon is a liar. I was offered a deal if I signed up for service - pay 2 months full price, then receive 6 months free and then 20 a month for two years since we were approved with the Verizon Foward discount. The discount was approved, but never applied. I have called about 15 times and have gone down to the corporate store, and no one has been able or willing to help me. They don't want to give me the discount they promised and I'm out $90 dollars I paid them for the first two months of interest, plus the hassle of switching from my previous company to Lying Verizon. When asked when would be a good time to come back. He directed me to email a claim online. Why offer a lifetime warranty and not honor when customers come back to get it replaced. Today, my wife and I decided to upgrade our Samsung Smartphone at the Verizon West Covina store. We met with Store Manager, Jody and I asked him if he could move my Gallery photos to my SD card. The problem was my storage capacity on my 8 year old phone had almost reached its storage capacity of 16.0 GB. The phone was at 15.98. Jody suggested that I should consider getting a new phone with a lot more storage capacity. It made perfect sense. My wife agreed. I selected the Samsung Galaxy S24 with 128 GB. Jody said because I was a loyal customer of 17 years and a Senior he could offer us discounts on our new phone. We were impressed with Jody's knowledge. He was able to transfer the information from my old phone to the new phone and then erase everything on my old phone. He explained and showed me step by step the actions he took to complete this process. Jody also told us that if we had any questions to contact him. THEY ARE NOT AN ACTUAL VERIZON STORE We went in there for an upgrade and the manager assisted us. He offered us the package bundle with an iPad, which he stated it was going to be approx $12/month. I said okay, I'll get it. My VZW bill comes in and it's $150 more than usual, so i go back into the Verizon store and he, the manager, leaves right away to not deal with us. One of the employees says he can't accept returns and to come back the next day when the manager is there. My mom comes back the next day because I work, and the manager starts blaming my mom that she didn't listen to him, and my mom responds that she heard everything and not once did he mention that the iPad would be an additional $80/month because it's an additional phone line. He then says, "well, I was talking to your daughter so she mustn't have heard either" like sir? That is NOT professional and do not disrespected both my mom and I. We contacted VZW customer service and he said this retail office is not a real Verizon store because it's owned under Victra, therefore they're not able to do credit our account and the manager of this store refused to give us our money back. Save yourself the scams and unless you're going to pay your bill, I don't recommend this place. To add, he added a $120 accessory bundle to the phone - to which he didn't state to us either. read more
