Customer service screwed me over when they told me I could bring in a trade in later after picking up a new phone. Turns out it does not work that way. I go to the store to ask if they can still honor the trade in promotion and they cannot. They robbed me of $300 and neither them or customer support can help me despite admitting to fault. Stopped in during the evening to ask a few questions about our accounts. I have my own account and my husband has one as well, but for some reason they're partially connected and partially not, which honestly didn't make much sense. We were hoping to get some clarity in store without having to call the bank, but ultimately were told the bank is where we'll need to sort it out and officially merge the accounts. That aside, the store itself was clean, bright, and well organized. Most of the store appeared well stocked with a wide variety of products. One thing that stood out was the Meta glasses display...they had an entire wall with different styles to choose from. The LEGO section was decent, not huge, but still around 10-15 different sets available. The computer section was solid; all units were powered on and there was a good range of options, from budget friendly laptops to higher end models with all the bells and whistles. One small disappointment was the car audio section. The selection was very limited, only one radio faceplate and just a handful of speakers to choose from. Customer service, however, was great. Be warned. I can't really judge the service. Because it was black Friday week. And everyone was busy. So no demerit for that and get a slide this time. But be very very cautious. Drove 30mins across town to get a stove. And this was the only location that had it in stock. Which is fine. But when I went to pay. They asked if I wanted to buythe Best Buy Total protection. I respectfully declined and said no thank you. Don't want anything additional. Paid for product. They told me my total. Went outside. Loaded up and headed home. When i got home. Took the receipt and put it into my filing cabinet. Then noticed they added a $1 fee (donation) to the Best Buy Foundation teen tech. Now I don't mind donating that $1. I do donations every year during the holidays from clothes to food to gift cards and also forth. But what pisses me off is that they DID NOT ASK to add it and snuck it in. From what I was told by legal console friends is that adding unauthorized items to a bill is illegal and can be considered fraud or misrepresentation. I even double checked with my wife as we both was with the cashier in the appliance section if the 2 people there asked. And she said no. Take it as you will. I look at the 2 1/2 stars of this store has and after we attempted to buy some appliances and deal with people and chat, and then people on the phone who didn't live up to what they said they were gonna do guys come out take measurements were here 2 to 5 minutes they left no sales attempt whatsoever so we had to reach out to them again to try to get that done and they set up a link for us to receive an email and then a phone call on Sunday today. I recently moved to Henderson from another state, and I had not been to a Best Buy in over 4 years because of how terrible customer service had gotten. I was looking for a certain TV, and this was the only store with one available in stock (it would have taken over 4 weeks from any place I would have ordered it online). I was hesitant to go because of previous experiences at other Best Buys. When I arrived, I asked at the front desk if someone could help me locate the TV. The associate I talked to was Shannen C. She told me she was helping another customer and would help me as soon as she was done. She directed me to wait in the television section. After waiting a few minutes Shannen came over and asked what I was looking for. I told her what I was looking for, and she looked up in the system and made sure it was available. Luckily it still was. Before purchasing the TV I was looking for, I asked her about another brand. She explained everything clearly and what difference there was between both TVs. Since there wasn't a display for the TV I wanted, she walked me over to show me a TV that the image was very similar to. After viewing both televisions, I was unable to make a decision. I had a few more questions. Shannen was very patient, answering all the additional questions I had in detail. After her help I was ready to decide which TV to get (I got the one I had originally gone to buy). The customer service I received from Shannen C. was outstanding. I can see why they have such a bad rating. They can't even get an order right . The in store representative was suppose to send our $2,000 TV for pick up at another location because they were out of stock. He said to wait for the text message. When we received the text message it said that our pick up would be ready 3 days later at the same location we were just at. If you attempt to call the store that will be a complete waste of time. You get put through to representatives from another county that will be rude and place you on hold forever. They will refuse to transfer you to a supervisor as disrespect you for having a disability. We had to waste our gas to drive back to the store at which point I just got my money back . There is no way I can pay for that type of customer service . We were still trying to figure out how it would fit in our van, and he said, "What do you plan to do now?" Do NOT by TVs at Best Buy! They are overpriced & don't stand by their Total Membership warranties. My friend's TV was only 7 month old, got vertical rainbow lines this morning, no it wasn't dropped & moved, no logical cause, just internal damage, but the manager refused to exchange it for another tv or store credit or anything. Under both the 1 yr manufacturer warranty and 2 year Total Membership time. Because the manager claimed that particular issue could only be caused by a drop - bullshit! There was no external crack, it wasn't touched, it hasn't been moved in 7 months, worked fine yesterday. Googled vertical lines & it says mechanical failure. Explained all this to the manager, but he insisted it was damaged & apparently not even the 2 year Total Membership covers damages such as breaks from falls, which in itself is lame. All he would offer is a "discount" on a new TV. As if we would buy from them again. Also I don't understand why a thousand dollar phone can be have an insurance plan that includes damage from drops etc but a $500 TV doesn't? Anyway, he's buying his replacement from Costco. My husband and I have been coming to this location for years. I think all Best Buy's are the same, but what makes this location special is Donovan in electronics. We met him when he was a sales rep and now he's a manager, great job Best Buy for recognizing him and his expertise. He is so knowledgeable, kind, and patient. He does his research and is just so helpful. Go see him if you need to upgrade any tvs or wanna check out a sound system, there's so much out there it gets overwhelming but he'll steer you in the right direction for sure! read more

The manager Donovan either has no clue what he's talking about or straight up lies to the customers. I came in looking to return a camera that I gave as a gift because it was overheating within 10 min of video use at 4k24 fps. This should be a defect but they wanted to charge me a restocking fee. How does it make sense to take a penalty on a faulty product? Moreover Donovan was talking out his ass saying he owns a zve1 and that its normal for the a6700 (the camera that was being returned) to overheat in 10 min. He specifically stated his zve1 overheats in 7 min. Maybe for a zve1 recording at 4k60 fps but the a6700 should last at least 30 min before overheating at 4k24. I would've been more understanding if he just flat out said it was policy and couldn't do it. But to make up a lie and bs me is not something I take lightly. Either that or he simply doesn't have enough knowledge on cameras to be a manager. read more

Not at all helpful. I purchased a WORTHLESS Eufy home security camera system. The motion sensor picks up about 5% of the camera view. In other words, it barely detects anything, only in a very narrow location. I've contacted Eufy and get AI generated canned responses about setting the system, which I've done. I went to Best Buy to get help or recommendation on a replacement, and no one wants to help. Geek Squad wouldn't help. Couldn't get a floor sales person. I asked for help up front, no one comes. Even when I purchased the system it took 45 minutes to get sales help. And they charged $100 extra for stucco install when all they do is use a toggle bolt. They might have sold me another set of cameras, but they don't seem interested in a sale. I will avoid going there, if possible, but there aren't too many other tech stores now that Fry's closed. read more

Went to this Best Buy with a phone under warranty. Previously spoke to an Apple representative and was told they would be able to replace my phone here (they're a designated Apple servicing location). No damage or issues- however dead pixels on the screen (which as stated phone is under warranty). Geek squad representative told me I can't get my phone taken care of without paying them to replace the screen. I'm glad I knew what I was talking about, because either they don't know what they're doing or they saw a woman walk in and thought they could sell me something. Today's visit was better than average as I came with specific product in mind: case and screen protector for my new iPad. Even more, I wanted the Geek Squad to put screen protector for me, as I will likely mess it up. 10 min and $15 later it was all done. Next I walked around the store looked at the new products such as expensive massager or new line of fitness machines. I wish they had them during covid shutdowns (Haha). Lastly I wanted to buy adapter cables, but was unable to find exactly what I wanted and they seemed to be out of stock. I really had a bad experience tonight. I needed some new headphones. I called first, as I'm not a fan of shopping. The girl was polite and helpful. I asked her what were the biggest over ear headphones they had. She told me the exact brand and even texted it to me. So I ordered it online right away. I received and email online shortly afterwards, and I drove over to enter the code for the locker, received my purchase and gave 5 stars. I opened them in the car, and they were tiny. Smaller than the ones I have that hurt my ears. I was short on time , so I rushed back inside and looked for some bigger ones. I was told by a helpful employee, that I wasn't allowed to look at any headphones that weren't displayed. ( of course those ones were very expensive) He said I'd have to exchange them first , open them, and then return them again while standing there. Okay.. I get that some corporations have silly rules. So he directed me to gaming headsets, ad they are bigger. Again , I ran into the same problem. Only the highest priced ones were on display to look at. No sizing on the box, and I'm not allowed to see them. I just gave up and selected a pair that looked bigger , and went to exchange. The same employee was on the register , and he then told me , because I picked my purchase ( inside the store) at the locker... I was not able to exchange them for 24 hours. So now , not only am I late, I have to take my small stupid headphones home, after completely wasting my time, only to wait 24 hours to attempt to exchange them again!!! And again with headphones I can't see, or try on!! Never ever again!! Ever!! I knew I should've just ordered from Amazon. I do not understand the absolute lack in common sense when it comes to these big name stores whatsoever!! No wonder everyone shops at Amazon. The whole event, wasn't my fault to start with. I ordered a dryer. They deliver it and it's damaged. They install it and tell me it'll be a few days until a new one is delivered. In the meantime, I get a call and they want to give me a $100 gift card if I keep the brand new dryer with a big dent. I told them no, I want a brand new dryer that's undamaged.
