The delivery process went great - The gentleman from the apparent outside contracted delivery service were kind and careful. After installation it was found that Maruszczak Appliance did not include/forgot the refrigerators filter, which comes standard with purchase. As a result the delivered refrigerator screen is showing red error messages along with no running water/ice As the filter is needed for said function. Purchase was made on a Thursday, delivered on Saturday morning. Gentleman who installed said they would reach out and have a representative deliver the filter same day. After doing my own due diligence after not hearing any follow up, I called in and spoke With a Maruszczak representative, who offered no apology. Simply stated that I myself could make the drive to pick Up the filter today or would have to wait until Monday for someone to be able to drop one off. Perhaps I expected too much, but when you pay in full for an appliance along with a delivery and install fee, don't you expect to receive said appliance in its full working condition? I simply asked if I took the time to make the trip up today, could a spare filter then be included -"Nope." We love the fridge, but The reality is we will be looking at red error messages and no water/ice feature for the duration of the weekend because The company we purchased through failed to assure it was installed or present prior to its delivery preparation.

    The staff was extremely rude and confrontational. The appliances are sky-high expensive. You can…read moreget the same stuff online or a big box store for a fraction of the cost. My whirlpool refrigerator was not dispensing ice or water. We paid the service fee, they blamed my R/O system. We called our R/O company, paid an other service fee and they said everything was fine. Get appliance pro back and this time they say it the control board. Another $700. Ordered it, came back to install and was here 2 hours trying to get it to work. The tech said he had to reprogram/rewire the new board in order for it to work. Mind you, 3rd visit here as well as the R/O company = 4 days off work. All of a sudden, it quits making ice. Call them back and the same tech says the dispenser was frozen because he had the door open too long when he was here... ok sure. 3 weeks later, no ice again. Come back today, visit 5, and tells us the fill tube heater is out and it will cost $2210.98 to repair. Serious??? That's $3000. They really must have mistaken our kidnesss as naïveté. Tech then has the nerve to tell me that is probably what caused the board to go bad, (even though it was still making ice before the board was replaced). Why wasn't this discovered during the diagnostic we paid for?? No ice issues before the control board and the tech's rigging of it to make it work. I project manage hundreds of property rehabs in our area, this is my first and last experience using this store location: I purchased a full kitchen cabinet package along with installation. What followed was a complete breakdown at every step of the process. Delivery alone took FOUR separate attempts: * One driver showed up, didn't call, and just left. * Another delivery was missing part of the order entirely. * I had to make four separate trips to the store myself just to try to sort things out. Then came the installation -- which somehow made things worse. The same third-party team that measured my kitchen showed up to install and then told me multiple cabinets don't even fit. How does that happen when THEY did the measurements? At this point, I'm out hundreds of dollars on a project that should have been straightforward. After I raised these issues, I was contacted and apologized to, and told they would "make it right." Since then? Silence. * I called the Pro Desk again yesterday and was told upper management would call me back -- no one did. * Tonight, at 10 PM, I received an automated email saying my cabinets are being canceled because they've been sitting too long. No resolution. No follow-up. Just canceled. So to recap: * Multiple failed deliveries * Incorrect/missing items * Installers who mismeasured and caused cabinets not to fit * Out-of-pocket costs with no resolution * Broken promises from management * Zero follow-through, ending in an automated cancellation email This has been a complete waste of time, money, and energy. If you're considering using Home Depot Schererville for a full kitchen project -- especially involving delivery and third-party installation -- I strongly recommend thinking twice. I'm still waiting for someone to actually take responsibility and fix this. Have now continued to still have the project unfinished with no reach out or help after coming into the store twice, calling every day. The most insane experience I've ever had. Will never come back to this location for anything.
