Keep in mind, there were SEVERAL of the same item shelved in the SAME spot and they wouldn't honor the price. The kicker of it all was there wasn't even a tag for the actual product I was holding so there was nothing to tell me the actual higher price. I will never shop at Best Buy in Murfreesboro again. They wouldn't let me return a TV even though they said I could when I purchased it and it was within their 14-day return policy. They said some third party company wouldn't allow it and there was nothing they could do about it. And when I tried to speak with this company by phone, they were talking with foreign accents and would not work with me. I tried to complain to Best Buy corporate but I kept running in dead ends. I went to pick up a TV I purchased online. In short, I was given the option of going to another store to get it; I opted to cancel the order. I was told that I would have to take the TV and then return it. I asked to speak to the manager. That's when things went really bad. The manager, if he really was a manager, told us we couldn't just cancel the order. My wife, who was there, said she had cancelled orders before without issue. Ryan, the manager, who continued to talk over us every time we tried to explain, very clearly said "You're a liar". To clarify, my wife is a retired police officer and has great-grandchildren. I work in a professional setting and thought our trouble making days were over. I told Ryan "Don't talk to her like that" His reply was that we were trespassing and he was kicking us out of the store and was going to call the police. He then followed us out of the store nearly to our car continuing with his rudeness and refusing to provide his name. A quick call to customer service and the transaction was cancelled. I did make several large purchases from best buy; I will never set foot in there or purchase from them again. read more

Would have gotten a five star but the guy who is trying to act like joe cool at the entrance had zero personality and was not one bit interested in customer service. Now to the good part: The sales rep in the tv department was very helpful. My wife and I asked several questions above and beyond the normal. He also suggested additional parts/cords that would be needed, if not now, in the future. We then had Geek Squad scheduled to mount and install the tv on the wall. I didn't want to drop the tv. (they drop it, they pay for it). Not only do they come prepared to install the tv, but they have parts on the truck in case you need any additional wires, cables, etc. which we did. Very unhappy with customer service. Went to check out with my purchase today and a dark skin woman tall, thin, straight black hair was slow and unresponsive definitely not friendly. Recently purchased a refrigerator as well as a washer and dryer from the Best Buy in Murfreesboro Tennessee. Purchase was made on October 23 for my new home. Best Buy has moved back my delivery date twice. I went to the store on November 22 to speak with a manager to confirm that I was actually going to receive my shipment on November 24 as promised. The manager assured me that it would be there and it was scheduled from 12 PM to 8 PM. I took a day off from work to be there for delivery. Of course they did not show. No phone call, no email. Went to the store to speak to the manager again. He stated that I should've never been promised that date as my appliances arrived to the store on the same date. No apology. I told him I wanted my money back. His only solution was to say if you go anywhere else it's gonna take months. I will wait for good customer service. Never again. Terrible customer service. They really made my experience very easy (even if I already knew what I was going to get) once I brought back the lemon they found a similar (maybe better) product for me. In the past, I have been very pleased with Best Buy. However, I purchased an Eero wifi package in late March. A Geek Squad Tech picked up the purchase from the store, came to my home and installed the product. To date, I have no receipt indicating this with Best Buy (my charge card shows the purchase, though). I do have a sticker with the service vehicle involved, the item, SKU and date printed (March 27, 2021). To date I have 1) contacted tech support (you pay extra for tech support service) and it was suggested to contact the Geek Support member directly, 2) texted the tech...no answer, 3) called and left a message on the tech's phone...no response, 4) went into the store and spoke to customer service...nothing yet and 5) emailed the person in customer service for an update...no answer. I'm hoping I do not have any issues with my new wifi product. It works great so far. However, there is a warranty with proof of purchase. I just want my receipt! My Best Buy online account does not reflect the purchase either. Seems like a lot of work for something that should be automatic. read more

After researching online the best prices, we decided to go to Best Buy since they were having a sale on the iPhone 6Ss, and Sprint wouldn't match the prices. We were greeted right away, who helped us decide on a phone, provided pricing and availability. We waited just a few minutes for an agent to open up. I believe her name was, Cami. She was incredible, informative, helpful, and fast! She did everything - backed up both phones, changed their plan - even disputing a charge on their behalf, installed both of their screen protectors (very well may I add). Just super helpful and made the process quite pleasant. My parents are extremely happy with their phones, and I am happy they are no longer bothering me, well for a new phone, but still for a million other things. read more

I went in to buy a new laptop and they sold me one that was 1,000 bucks but when I got it home it was crap. Slow and kept crashing. Finally I took it back. Then I was sold a "better" one for.. of course.. more money.. to the tune of 1200. So now I have a $1200 work machine that has 1 usb port and no micro card slot or any other slot. It also has no CD/DVD/ - nada.. What a horrible place. I went to them because I thought they were knowledgeable about what they sell and could listen to me and get me what I needed. I had my previous laptop for 10 years, of course that laptop was suggested by my work IT department. Apparently I need to consult my work IT department whenever I buy anything. My husband and I thought we would stop by and ask a question and look at the tvs because I'm wanting an 86 inch Samsung. 2 guys at the cell phone counter were talking about us not wearing a mask. Then a fat guy came up and told us we were not allowed to shop in his store without a mask on. My husband proceeded to tell them we didn't need help we were just looking. The fat guy with no name badge proceeded to tell us masks are up front and my husband told him we have medical exemptions and the fat guy proceeded to tell someone to call the law. Lol. It's not a law we have to wear masks. I'm 7 months pregnant and can't breath in a mask and my husband has medical issue to were he can't wear one. The fat man didn't care we had to leave his store. I always go to best buy for all of my electronics and won't be back to this place. The fat guy told us that best buy is a private organization and therefore could make whatever rules they wanted. About 3 weeks ago, I bought an external optical drive (cd/dvd recorder) from Best Buy. It quit last week, but today is the first chance that I had to return it. When I took it back to the "customer service" desk, they informed me that you could only return items for 15 days and after that, you are on your own and I should have bought the extended warranty. First, if I have to pay extra for customer service, then the price advertised, isn't the real price, is it? Second, if I can't exchange items at the store where I conveniently purchased it, I might as well buy it from Amazon where it is usually cheaper and their customer service is outstanding. I may have to send it back and be without the services for a few days, but at least they come and pick it up and deliver a new one. I had also intended to change my cell service today to Verizon and purchase two new smart phones. Guess who got that business? read more

I've read some of the other reviews and had to double check to make sure we were talking about the same store. My experiences at this location have always been great, although today was even better than usual. I went in to get a replacement phone after the Sprint store gave me one option - a $500 phone. My budget wouldn't allow for that; so, I'd picked out a model that would do. A young lady named Henley helped me out and got me a better phone for less money than I had budgeted! She then set me up with the Samsung guys (Camrinn and Taylor) who made sure everything transferred from my old dinosaur phone with its dying charging port to the new equipment. I put this on facebook and received a nice reply from someone at best buy, but that is not enough. People should be aware that the the people working in the store are very nice but they are part of a system that is often frustrating for a customer at best. All phases of best buy failed and I will not be back! I found an item I wanted to buy on their website; the website showed they had the item available for pickup today. It is a 20+ minute drive one way so I called to verify they had the item. After waiting on hold 15 minutes a salesperson verified they had "3 of that item in the store", he also gave me the "sku #". When I got to the store a sales person took the sku # to check and said "we have a bunch of them" and said she would retrieve one right away. After about 5 minutes she returned and said it wasn't where it was supposed to be and there were 3 people looking and she would have one of the 3 the computer showed on the in just a minute. After another update that 6 people were now looking I waited and looked at other items. After a total of more than 25 minutes she came back and said they just can't find one but we could order one and have it shipped to my home. I tried to be polite and told the girl if wanted to order it to be delivered I wouldn't have wasted what will be more than an hour total and I would have probably gotten it cheaper on amazon. I did check the manufacturer's website and could have ordered the item for the same price as best buy including free shipping. I like to avoid amazon & walmart.com and use brick & mortar stores, but this is one I will never be back to. read more

Bad bad car audio department not the installer, but product 6 1/2 months old shuts down, then works would not take 1,400.00 dollars worth of product back. Get this manager offered a discount on another purchase, really so no return but spend more money and hope it will work longer, than this one did. I guess when the money doesn't come out of their pocket it is okay. Will no longer shop at this store. Electronic EXPRESS will be my store of choice from now on. Absolutely awful! We purchased a TV here (almost $4,000), plus installation and whatever other nonsense they sold us, walked out paying closer to $5,000. They did not have the tv in stock, so it could be delivered on the 5th. Ok. A little annoying, but ok. The guys showed up to mount, and deliver the TV. The TV was broken. Shattered. (Pretty sure the guy installing it did it, but he wouldn't admit it it. They FINALLY called us back saying that it could be redelivered on the 14th. After we told them no one would be here starting the 12th. Amazon could have had it here from halfway across the country in 2 days! Waiting on a call back now, hopefully they break down and buy it on Amazon, then bring it to us because this is stupid. Missing HHGregg already, and they've only been gone a few months. Only use this store to go see in person what you want, then go home and go to Amazon.com and have it in a couple of days rather than several weeks. Not a fan and I won't be back. Anytime I had ever gone in, the employees have been less than helpful. I went in with my mother to help her pick out a laptop and the sales associate didn't know anything about the computers they had and just read off the tags sitting next to them, which I can do myself. When we picked one out, she did the geeksquad install where they remove all the demos from the computer and add the virus blocker. We picked it up and brought it to her house to set it up and something was wrong immediately. We had a list of 20 or 30 things that we were concerned about with the laptop. We brought it back in and switched it for another and had the same issue and they didn't take off the demos which she paid to have them do. Computer still had a lot of issues so she traded it in for another after having been to the store multiple times for pickups and dropoffs. She picked a different model and explained all the issues she had so they took special care to make sure they removed the demo programs finally. On another occasion I went into help a friend pick out a cell phone because I had recently left a job selling the same phones. The first guy who came over hovered over us while she asked me questions about the phones. He would also interior and try to answer her when she was talking to me. He told me later that he hates when people who have worked in the business come in because they "think they know everything when they don't" about me. Now that would be one thing if I were incorrect but the information he was tryin to answer her with was incorrect, so maybe he should study up before he tells me I am wrong. He then walked away without saying anything and we waited for a rep to be ready. She was totally wrong about the whole process, the phone, the plan, etc. She was also extremely rude and implied that my friend couldn't read. She was supposed to be signing for the contract but the rep didn't go over anything with her so she asked what am I signing? The rep replied with, "read, you know, the words..." There were no words on the signature capture device and she hadnt explained what she was signing for. We finished up and left. I will never look back. read more

This has been the most horrible process EVER! Never would I think that a place I chose to do business with decides when they would DELIVER MY PURCHASE. I've never had any business in which I've had the delivery process be this difficult. I've been trying to communicate with your company regarding my online purchase since the day after I made the purchase. Since then every customer service person has told me the same, "Someone will CALL me closer to the delivery date". So I wait, since no communication still wasn't provided to me I called on Saturday December 6th. The rep then told me "someone will call me before they deliver". I asked to provide notes in my order that I need a delivery time after 4pm. She stated it was "computer operated" and will not know until the day before, but it was noted. So finally the day before arrives (Dec. 9th), 7pm and still NO ONE has called. I happen to be out running errands and stopped by your retail store, in which the employee there also stated "someone will call you" but was able to look in the computer and notify me there was a 10am to 12pm window for my delivery. Great, I find out at 7pm the night before that BEST BUY decided what works best for my schedule regarding my delivery. So I called once again to talk to a customer service rep in which she told me she couldn't do anything and then tried to contact the store who was delivering my item, but stayed on hold for a half hour waiting to speak to a manager(who never came to the phone). I'm from the Midwest where Best Buy is a staple in my neighborhood. Never in a million years would I ever think I would get watered down service. I do take into consideration it is Holiday Time, therefore I gave in and waited a week and a half for the delivery of my new washer in the 1st place but now I'm very frustrated at this whole ordeal (ordered on 11/30/14, delivery day is set for 12/10/14, the soonest available). It is Holiday time, it comes around every year same time, you would think a company who's been through several seasons of this would be highly prepared to accommodate customers. I don't usually write negative reviews on any store because I am very familiar with the fact that they do make a difference corporate-wide, however, the customer service I received from both calling and having come in store was less than satisfactory. I am a college student, meaning I don't have a lot of funds just laying around to be wasted. I found myself in need of a new laptop for classes, however, so I began to search for the best deal. I found out that Best Buy offers some coupons for student discounts and decided to sign up to receive them. Once I had done so, I picked out the laptop I wanted and called to make sure it was available. I was informed on the call that, and I quote, "all laptops receive a $100 discount for students". It sounded very appealing, but being the glass half empty type, I decided to be certain. I once again told the man exactly which laptop I was interested in, along with the price, and once again asked if that specific laptop was eligible for the $100 discount. He almost quoted back to me that it was in fact eligible and said I would just have to provide a copy of the coupons I received via email. I actually ended up calling twice to confirm just to make sure. Once I had gotten my discount confirmed, I immediately went to go pick up my laptop. Imagine my surprise when the employees at Best Buy informed me that this particular laptop was not eligible for ANY student discount. I went ahead and purchased the laptop since I didn't have much choice at that point with classes starting soon and no time to order something online, but with every intention of calling again and finding out what went wrong. I called a few days later and the same man picked up and once again said "all laptops are available for the $100 student discount". I once again asked him specifically "So all laptops will be $100 off with the coupons correct?". He says yes, so I then inform him of the fact that I had received no such discount on the laptop I had purchased when I had told him exactly which kind I was interested in. He looks up the laptop and confirms that its the one I had purchased before putting me on hold, I assume to call the store I had purchased it from. When he gets back on the call he says unfortunately that laptop is not eligible for a student discount when he had previously said ALL laptops had the discount. I understand a little misunderstanding on their part, but as many times as I had told him which laptop I was interested in, making sure he knew exactly what I wanted, it seems ridiculous that no one was willing to help. As a last resort, I asked if there was really nothing he could do for me considering I had been offered a discount and then not allowed to use it, and he said no. I will be thinking long and hard about ever doing business with such an unorganized company again, and I will be informing my family and friends to do the same. I hope corporate finds my review informative on how well their company's service has lost them the business of me and anyone I can tell about what happened. read more
