No interest in making a sale. No customer service whatsoever. I walked in to buy a tablet that they had in stock. I found the display model on the floor, but I needed to ask an employee to get me one. (Thanks, shoplifters!) But could I find an employee? No. As I waited, I chatted with another customer who also needed help but couldn't get it. After about 10 minutes, when I was getting seriously late for an appointment, I saw a women who appeared to be working, though she wasn't in a Best Buy uniform. She said she was taking inventory and couldn't help me, but she did go and get somebody who could. So I did end up buying the tablet, but next time, I'll buy online from Amazon. read more

Today was my third time coming to the North Austin Best Buy for a Pokémon drop, and it finally paid off in a big way. Some people showed up as early as 11 p.m., which sounds crazy, but that's just how competitive it is when this store gets highly chased items. In the past, they usually only had a few big items, so a lot of us waited for hours and left empty-handed. Today, though, was different and honestly felt special. They put out around 40 of the big chased items, and it was also the first day I ever managed to get Prismatic SPC. The line was long, but the process felt much smoother and more organized than before, and the staff did a good job keeping things moving and fair. I'm really glad they increased the quantity this time, and I truly hope they keep doing it this way, because waiting for nothing is always discouraging. Thanks to that improvement, I actually had a great shopping experience today, and it reminded me why I keep coming back to this location for these drops. If they keep this up, this will become my go-to store for future releases. read more

Geek Squad has a great service tech agent named Oles he did a fantastic job on our dryer he cleaned free from all lent then place the dryer back and he connected the dryer hose back together we couldn't do a better job ourselves. Oles also reminded me that the dryer vent system and it needs to be cleaned once a year. We valued his time we made feel like we appreciated his time and how he cared for or situation we thank him so much. I had great experiences at this location.  First, I was shopping for a refrigerator. Laurie walked us around, answering our questions  and helping us narrow down our preferences. Next was Esco. He worked the computer to find the refrigerator.  He gave us a lot of information and was very friendly to talk to. Esco helped find the specific one we needed. On a second occasion, I needed to buy a new TV remote and was having some trouble due to the type of TV I have. Lauturo helped to determine which one would work. He even explained it to me, so I left with no worries.  He was so nice to interact with. I really like this store. If Laurie, Esco, and Lauturo are representative of the type of employee Best Buy is looking for, then this store continues to be successful, and I'll be coming back. read more

Would NOT recommend. There r plenty of other electronic stores that sell cell phones. I can tell u my 'best buy' was a 'worst buy'. I went there cause I needed an unlocked phone. One of the managers helped and assured me the phone he recommended was a great one. Less than 6 months later I'm having dropped calls. I returned about 2 weeks ago and spoke to another manager about my 'best buy' and he affirmed the phone I got was not a 'best buy'. I went in looking to replace my laptop. It has been years since I needed to purchase one. There's a ton of choices and I was a bit overwhelmed. Grant assisted me with my purchase. He was super patient and was able to match my budget with a laptop that accommodates my daily tasks in such a short amount of time. There's a ton of parking despite the location being a busy one. I ask for help about a specific kind of cord I needed to hook up to my new hard drive. There is a cord we're one side is flat and the other side is L shaped. I told him I'm not sure if it will work because where it go's is a very narrow tight space. but he said it should and act like I didn't know what I was talking about. Worst Best Buy I've ever been to. Came in to do an online pick up and the young brat with strawberry blonde hair needs to stay in school because a customer service job is clearly not for him. He calls me over saying he can help me at his register and I simply say I'm here to pick up an order with his dry reply "I know I'm just signing in on the computer" like okay no shit kid? Then he just places my items on the counter and says nothing. No you're good to go, have a great day, all set. Absolutely nothing. Didn't even get a great walking out or in!!! Got an incredibly good deal on a prebuilt desktop that is surprisingly extremely good for the price, it was a recommendation from the incredibly knowledgeable and helpful employees here who weren't shy about giving me an unbiased recommendation about where I can find the best value while trying to build my own costume PC. It was only after spending ample time going over a list of what are definitely the best options for building my own did the guy recommend this prebuilt that had recently went on sale. I have since had problems with the SSD of the prebuilt on startup only. The SSD peaks hard and then crashes occasionally but considering I paid $1800 after taxes for what other prebuilt companies I've looked into since would charge me $2800+ for I'm very happy with the purchase. read more

Walked in about 7 today because I need to make a payment. Usually this takes like - minute, in and out. Today it took 15. Not because someone got confused of the register was working. They just decided to let me stand there because I kid you not, niche PS5 training was more important apparently. I walked in and some lady was trying to trade in her PS5 and I guess she tried haggling about it. I ended up waiting line 3-4 minutes behind that, which was annoying but not really anyone's fault. No biggie. But when they finished, the woman training this new cashier just kept rambling to him, going into all of the intricacies of PS5 trade ins. At one point she saw me and said "We'll be with you in a minute sir) and just let me stand there another 5 while she explained that European versions of the PS5 use a special plug and that sometimes... And I'm like wtf, this can surely wait as nobody's likely to walk in with one of those any time soon, but I've got my wife and kid waiting in the car. So I start watching Tiktok videos with the volume full blast. About 5 MORE minutes into that another customer gets behind me in line and ONLY at that point am I suddenly important enough to wave over another employee to help. I get training needs to happen. I don't expect service to be instantaneous. But to leave a customer just standing there waiting for an extended period just for the sake of talking about European PS5 cables? Seriously? read more

Terrible customer experience. I've been using the local best buy stores after signing up for their total tech membership. One of the first products I bought was a Nest Thermostat. They repeatedly don't show for appointments with all day time windows. So I sit at home and wait, but no one shows up. When they came, they broke my AC. I've made two dozen calls to different tech support numbers, been transferred to every department available, called the store and no one called me back, drove all the way back into the store and was promised resolution and a time frame but no one followed up or responded to my subsequent emails when trying to resolve. Easily the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. Now I am paying out of pocket and will need to chase them down for reimbursement. Use Amazon and save the trip. read more

Well, I won't be renewing my BB membership when it rolls around in two weeks. Have experienced total failure of Geek Squad repair of a media controller I purchased a few years ago. Tech came to my house and spent two hours on the phone consulting other Techs about my problem. No progress. Left saying he would get back to me...that was three weeks ago. These people are incompetent at the Research Store. They lied to me when they sold me a TV. They offered to put it on my car, but since they said they would deliver and set up my TV two days after I bought it on Sept. 3 I just said I would let them deliver it. I paid for set up and delivery and programming. They said it would be delivered between 7AM and 7PM. At late in the evening I called to see the status of my delivery. They said they couldn't even find my order!! Then they said they didn't have a TV and now it would be next week (7 days) before they could deliver my TV. read more

I made an appointment to get a audio system installed in my car at 10 AM this past Saturday. I was told that i would have my car back by 3. Now with that being the plan i made plans for after 3. My daughter flight landed at 4, she traveled in for father's day. Needless to say i was not there to get her because i got a call at 2:27 telling me that my car would not be ready for another 3 hrs because he kept getting pulled of my car to help other customers and best buy employees because he is the only person who works in the Mobile installation department.. It seems as if Best buy didn't think that only one person in that department would cause issues..Phone ringing, store associates needing help and customer wanting quotes, this one person is suppose to do all this and deliver great customer service??? Well in this situation it had a adverse effect because my entire day had to be readjusted and it cost me to spend more money that i wasn't planning on spending, uber for me and my daughter and i had to cancel restaurant reservations due to this. I don't blame Nick for this, he was pretty cool and explained everything that he done. However i do blame best buy for this because you would think that a company of this sizes would have Adequate staffing to handle all traffic from customers, store employees, and someone answered the telephone. Nick did do a great job on my stereo installation is sounds great. Once again this negative review is not an indictment on Nick its an indictment on Best Buy as a company store. What is Best Buy doing even open anymore? They have the worst customer service and actually, customer service anywhere these days is a trip down memory lane because you can't get good customer service anymore anywhere. Oh and if you buy anything there....you have just 15 days to return it. Bought a Keurig coffee maker, after about 13 days of using it the heating element went out and would not make hot coffee. But wait before you past judgement on me as the user. I clean my Keurig coffee maker every month religiously. The Keurig I had prior to that last 9 years. So I called Best Buy corporate because you can't get anyone to answer their phone when you call locally. They told me to return it and the "GEEK" squad would look at it. I did that and they said they don't fix coffee makers. So I returned to the customer service desk and they would not give me my money back because it was the 16th day and if I had gotten there on the 15th day they could have done something. When I called to reschedule, it was a 45 min wait so I went to the store in person. The guy who helped me is actually the guy who sold me the fridge. He was apologetic... however I never heard anything back from them. Then suddenly at lunch 2 days later, I get a call saying we are at your house, you have 15 minutes or we're leaving. I abandon lunch before it even arrives. (The pizza place kept my pizza warm for 2 hours until I came back). When I get there, the fridge is BADLY damaged! I ask about a loaner until we can sort something out, even suggested this unit as a loaner since they were here already. The delivery guys said I shouldn't, because it likely wouldn't run. So on their advice I decline to accept the appliance. I open an escalation. It goes to the highest level - so they say. Escalations said they can't do anything and resolution is at the store level. The store says they can't do a anything... it's up to escalations. The store blames the delivery company and the delivery company blames the store. NO ONE TOOK OWNERSHIP Best Buy offered me 300 bucks off a $3000 fridge. Wouldn't replace the one we got at the price. And the employees leave their cigarette butts all over the place. I love my side by side refrigerator with Bixby and Pandora, it even reads out recipes out loud as I cook! Wow! how cool is that? It truly is a smart fridge. I was especially happy with the three customer service people who took care of us. The delivery was prompt and professional, now to figure out all the gadgets on this beast! MEH. I want to like best buy, there are GOOD deals, great items to pick up DAY of if you're unable to wait 2 days with Amazon prime shipping BUT I cannot stand pre-orders here. Showed up right at 10am for Pokemon Let's Go release day and wanted to pick up our pre-orders. Guess what, 6 employees in the pre-orders section are searching high and low for the fulfilled orders and can't find where they've been cataloged and placed. Soooo, they have to cancel all pre-orders and just ring the game up and it takes 20 minutes. The people who walked to the back, hand picked up their own games on shelf got their items faster than those who did pre-orders. It's very disheveled here and it's apparent with the way they're setting up for future purchases for gamers with the 20% gamer club discount. Otherwise, they continuously give me $5-$15 freebie gift cards that I come in with and go retail purchase my electronics and tech products with here. Can't be beat. read more

I don't even know why this store is even open. There are no sales associates on the sales floor most of the time and if you do see one, they act like customers are an interruption. This is by far the worst Best Buy I have ever been to. The bar was pretty low for customer service at this company but this store sets it even lower. With the ridiculous 15 day return policy and lack of any intelligent sales associates, you may buy the wrong product and have to return it in 15 days or it's yours. Best Buy is abandoning in store sales and pushing customers toward online sales. Why order online if you are withing 3 miles of the actual store. I recently came in to purchase a new computer for work and knew there was a particular software program I would need to run on the laptop. Now, I understand technology fairly well, but I haven't had to purchase a new laptop in years so I asked for assistance in that department. The gentleman who assisted me directed me to only chromebooks (I would later discover he specifically worked with chromebook) even knowing I had to download and run a certain software. Chromebooks don't have true download storage and I ended up spending hours trying to get my new laptop to work before discovering that nothing could be done and have to return the computer. Honestly, it was an incredibly frustrating process because I feel that he should have listened more to my needs and he would have realized that a chromebook would be incompatible with my needs. Instead he was just pushing a sale for chromebooks, in which he was temporarily successful as I returned the laptop upon discovering that it could not be made to work by partnering with the GeekSquad, my own IT Department, the developers of the program, and spending hours personally researching and trying to get it to work. The GeekSquad was very helpful and I will say in general that everyone was helpful and friendly throughout the process - even when I arrived one night about 15 minutes before they closed (I met with GeekSquad several times) Needless to say, I'm disappointed in their sales department for not listening to my needs and selling me something that never could have worked because of the chromebook design and set-up (not designed for downloading software!) but the GeekSquad and everyone else is lovely. At the end of the day, I will continue to shop at BestBuy, but I will likely never ask for sales assistance again. read more

Recently I purchased many things from Best Buy and I had some appliance issues for the in-home delivery service. I didn't feel good for that service but Nick changed my experience 3 to 10. He is very professional and friendly and he helped ordering and suggesting or price matching for my order to install. I recommended here with Nick 100 times better than others! My 2016 Sportage transformed with audio and backup camera plus speakers! --- this review after purchasing my appliance. The pacific appliance team they were selling products and no one care about the delivery and installation. And the schedule automatically canceled even I didn't know and need to reschedule to stop by the store or 20 mins waiting call. Total messed and I'm not going to be elite plus and geek squad member anymore dumb service! Ordered 11/24 and canceled schedule a couple of time and they said the merchandise should send to Best Buy so we have to wait.. what??!
