I am very disappointed to feel the need to write a negative review for a store that I have visited most my lifetime. But today the customer service I received from Amy was really disheartening and unhelpful. This stems from an issue that I had with an online order that has since been resolved by Bestbuy online support. Essentially, I had been shipped an empty package that was supposed to contain my order. I had called the Northglenn Bestbuy phone number and was told over the phone that coming in to talk to someone was the best way to resolve the issue that I have. Upon arriving to the Northglenn location I asked the cashier what he thought I should do, and if it was possible to get a refund. This is when Amy came into the conversation, already standoffish. Amy interrupted the cashier I was speaking to essentially telling me that there is nothing anyone could do to help me and that I need to call the corporate number. When I asked "What is the corporate phone number?" She replied with "it's 1888 Bestbuy" instead of reading out the phone number that I needed to call. I left the store and called the corporate number (only after needing to return to the store to ask what the corporate phone number was). The corporate phone number was monitored by an A.I. assistant that helped me since I was calling out of business hours. This phone call ended up disconnecting due to it being on a Sunday. I returned into the store feeling at a loss because up to this point no one has been able to guide me in what I can do to resolve my problem. This is when Amy sees me walk in, before I was able to speak she was already repeating herself from our conversation before "we are not able to help you at this store!" I replied " I am not asking for you to do anything for me, I just need to know what I should do next to solve my issue". Her reply told me to be more patient with the A.I. assistant and again reminded me that she was not going to help me at this location. I left the store for the final time and was able to get help from a virtual assistant through the Bestbuy app. After resolving my personal issue with my previous order, I felt that I had been treated extremely poorly by Amy. The customer service I received made me feel unwelcome in the Bestbuy store. Any customer who is asking for help/guidance/support should not be faced with the service I received from Amy today. I feel that even if the Northglenn location was unable to help me directly, they could've offered more support in solving my issue. Whether that be through the app or other alternative. It felt that I had been turned away and denied service. What I hope to come from this review is a reevaluation of the customer service at this location. Although I was able to solve my problem through an online assistant, Amy provided terrible customer support, and actively made me feel unwelcome in the store. read more

I called the Best Buy Phone number to confirm they took electronics for recycling. I was told from the representative that they did indeed take electronics recycling at this time. When I get to the store after a 20 minute drive, they told me that they are not taking any electronics recycling, because they are full. I find out that they use a call center so no one from the actual store answers the phone. I appreciate that they do some electronics recycling, but to be told "yes, bring it in" and then be told "no we can't take it" is poor customer service with barely an apology. I've gone into this location a few times, most recently on Christmas Eve. I ordered online for in store pick up. For some reason, the order got stuck in processing. I went in and on my way into the store, the manager happened to be at the front door. I explained what was going on and he said it wasn't showing up in the system and directed me to customer service. While waiting in line, he went and looked for and picked up the item. I ended up canceling my online order, but was able to have a seamless experience that got me back out the door on a big holiday. I've been to this location half a dozen times and my experience is always very positive. They also seem to have more items in stock than other locations around. I'll definitely be back! read more

If anyone is thinking or recently purchased a Nintendo Switch from BestBuy (or potentially any retailer) - Please make sure you have the store employee double-check the serial number of the physical device against the serial number printed on the side of the box. Also double check it yourself. If they do not match, refuse the item! These boxes are not glued shut, not wrapped in cellophane. Bestbuy, apparently, prior to my purchase, has swapped my hardware with another person, and now I have been on the phone for over 4 hours to get this fixed. They claimed it was fixed 3 days ago, but it is still not fixed! Wow...what a miserable experience! I was thrown out of the store for asking a question! Shane, store manager was VERY aggressive and unreasonable. I came in wanting to ask a question about a ubs hub..something that should have been a quick discussion. I couldn't find an employee to help me, one of them even walked away from my question. I encountered Shane front door and not only was he unhelpful but comp ative. I will never walk into this store again. I immediately went went to Sheridan store and was in and out in 5 mins with what I needed. I actually believe in Best Buy but will never again walk into the 104th store. I came for the Black Friday sale, crazy. Tracked down an associate, Scott. I had been investigating gaming monitors for my son all day and really didn't know what I was looking for but after communicating with some ppl that I know that were in the "loop" about this stuff I decided on a size, type , and model and only a few were left. So I headed here b4 they were sold out as many models already were. After a brief wait in line, I was able to snag an associate that was walking by. Asked him if he could help me with locating this monitor and if they had any left. He didn't hesitate even though it wasn't his department he still was willing to give me his time. We found a computer so he could check stock unfortunately the model i was after was sold out as well but he offered to check stock of what was in store. Not only did he check stock he took the time to compare models with me ,I on my phone and him on the store computer. We compared prices, speed, resolution and some other stuff I had no clue what it was , but finally decided on one that was the same price but more bang for your buck and in stock! If you don't know BB its my go to electronics store. TV's, stereo equipment, cd's, gaming equipment, PC's, pretty much anything that beeps make noise, plugs into your phone ,laptop , put in your ears or look at with your eyes.. I'm glad I stopped back in . At one time and probably still am into TV's but I told myself I'm not buying another TV until I can get a 100" for my house so I guess I'll just be content with the 75" I enjoy now. There were 2 other people waiting by us for help, we had to walk to the front and they called someone and then the guy with the long hair tied up that came to help looked right at us and went to help another lady and then when we ask him to help us he said just give me a minute. another lady came to help us finally and as we walked out within 5 minutes he was up at the front talking to two other workers. this is lazy and unacceptable when you are getting paid to help people. read more

Went to pick up. Box is smooshed, has a shipping label to someone else, and security tape along the edges?! This is a horribly unaesthetic box that we have to give to someone, because Best Buy Northglenn thought it was appropriate to give us a refurbished box. Anyway, Jamie was professional in handling the situation, asking the manager to make a courtesy adjustment at least. Hannah, the woman in the managerial position, could really improve her attitude. I am very upset. I went in and asked for a fast moving computer to hold my self employment bookkeeping company and my online college I am getting masters degree. He sold me this legion Lenovo which is a game console. And I asked if I ca.n actually use it he said absolutely. And the best choice for being able to add to it later in life. I told him I want it to work with double screens. He said absolutely no problem with this. So I purchased two screens. Just found out by Lenovo customer service that is not the case this tower will not work for multiple monitors with out upgrades and other crap that I have no idea about. MUST READ IF BUYING AN APPLIANCE, ESPECIALLY ANY WASHER! I purchased an appliance and paid to have it installed in our new house. A week later, two gentleman showed up and hooked up our washer. This isn't the first time we've purchased a washer from Best Buy (every new house has been bought through BB). In fact, I spend over $10k a year and am an Elite Member at Best Buy but it's evident why BB is declining in reviews. When the two gentleman showed up, I expected them to hook up the washer hoses correctly. They did their "check" and prepared to leave. However, they were hoping I wouldn't notice that the new hoses I paid for weren't installed! They hid the new box under their "trash". When I went through their "trash box", I saw what I had paid for and asked why it wasn't installed. All I got was a simple apology. Folks, ALWAYS VERIFY they install what you PAID FOR! Then, after one guy rolling his eyes and complaining that "it's been a long day", he did his check. He left the washer running and said it was good. NOPE! After looking behind the washer without even moving it, water was leaking! They didn't install the hose correctly! I called Geek Squad and Best Buy about 15min after they left and they were unable to get ahold of the drivers/technicians. I called again later asking for an update but no response. I called the next day and still no response. If you're going to buy something, make damn well sure they install it. If they sent your stuff, you are eligible for a discount/refund. I'm now escalating this issue to the executive team at both Geek Squad as well as Best Buy. They will sell you something you don't need. BE CAREFUL - it was common issue (theft and not hooking up washer units correctly) long ago and still seems to be an issue today. I'll be not only negatively reviewing in multiple places but also escalating this as high as it needs to be given the severity of the issue and Geek Squad and BB not giving a damn. Hold them accountable - make sure they stick around for the ENTIRE DURATION of their "check". You'll thank me later! read more

Went to Best Buy to buy a TV- Spent 2300.00 and the TV is great. The salesman was very helpful..However, we took the TV home and it does not have the Direct TV streaming app as part of the LG family of apps. Now when you are looking at several TVs I asked do they have all the apps and the response was yes..I did not ask on a specific app because we use several - the way of the world. This TV was a 77" monster which I had to PU at the warehouse way out east.After unloading,unpacking putting everything together, come to find NO DIRECT TV APP at all and that's that..I called the store and spoke to someone that stated you can bring the TV in and we can exchange that or refund.I said why not just give me the accessory to get direct tv instead because you as a store should either mark that certain apps are not available on LG etc or the salesman could have stated that also after I inquired does it have all the apps. The firestick or roku was 30-40.00. I then talked to the store manager, who was extremely rude and overtalked almost the entire conversation and gave me excuse after excuse and also said it was a miscommunication. Actually no it wasn't. So then this manager states I will send someone to pick up the TV if you want. So let me get this straight, you will pay someone to get the TV,I have to come back in the store and look at TV's again, then drive 30 miles away to get the TV, but instead you could have solved the problem with a 30-40.00 item..Makes perfect sense. Not only was this manager RUDE, OVERTALKING and ARROGANT - He was I need to be right person.Well guess what, I will take my companies business, my personal business, my families business and not be back to Best Lie. "Buyer Beware"" We bought a flat TV from Best Buy in Northglenn. When we were sliding it out of the box there was a bubble inside the screen. We didn't even finish taking it out of the box or unwrap it. We immediately took it back. They refused to exchange or replace it saying we caused the crack. When it was brought to their attention that the bubble was inside the screen they still refused it. Pretty much "It sucks to be you, attitude". No replacement, no refund just nothing. So my job today will be to put Best Buy on blast and tell everyone how we were treated and their " it sucks to be you" return policy. This is a horrible way to treat their customers. read more

I hate this Best Buy and I will never purchase another product from another Best Buy ever again due to my interactions with customer service here. I bought a laptop on sale for $700 which is DEFECTIVE, I'm 12 days past my "return and exchange timeframe" so they won't take it back on top of being extremely rude to me about the situation. Why should I get shamed for not buying some geek squad protection for a laptop that is valued at $850?? A laptop that expensive should NOT have this problem, period. The WiFi disconnects every 30 minutes or so and is impossible to use for my school classes which have TIMED assignments and I don't feel like failing my expensive classes bc this laptop is defective. Best Buy won't take the laptop back or exchange it and simply gave me some OTHER customer service number to call to resolve my issues. Every single number I call for Best Buy either is completed automated or has an "hour and 20 minute" hold time and I'm not exaggerating. I am KICKING myself for not buying it from AMAZON. Amazon has 30 day returns at the very least and their customer service has always been great to me. I loathe this Best Buy but take solace in the fact that amazon at some point in time will put them out of business. read more

Would not recommend buying appliances here: Did a full kitchen remodel and purchased all of our appliances from this Best Buy. To say the experience was less than wonderful would be an understatement. Cliff notes: RANGE: Spent ~$12K in total for all appliances in Sept '16. I didn't need appliances until December but was assured by sales person to order at that time to take advantage of Labor Day sales and they would deliver later. 1st mistake - I trusted him and made purchase. Fast forward to December. Receive all appliances. Wrong range delivered (gas only, not dual fuel as purchased). No big deal, mistakes happen. Call Best Buy to get it replaced and I'm told they discontinued that model so nothing they could do. Called around, found one at a competitors and reordered (same cost + I got a 5yr warranty vs. 1yr). Scheduled Best Buy to pick up range. They didn't come. Range on front porch (of Downtown Denver home). They couldn't come get it for another ~2 weeks. Corporate called me to apologize and try to escalate pick up. Didn't make that happen and said I'd be liable if anything happened to range (tough to move by myself...) Terrible experience. No resolution. Nothing offered by Best Buy to recompense. FRIDGE: Purchased fridge. Installed. Didn't work. Called Best Buy for repair, they told me they couldn't work on this model and I'd have to go to mfgr. Fast Forward 5 repair trips later and it works... I had asked for them to replace the fridge with a new one and guess what.....they told me they couldn't because it too had been discontinued. Going to back to what I was originally told by Best Buy sales person: "There won't be any issues ordering now and having delivered in Dec." My last conversation with Best Buy corporate rep was something along the lines of 'this has left a pretty bad taste in my mouth and I can't imagine I'll be shopping here again or recommend to anyone' The response I got was, "That's your prerogative". Bottom line: Don't be fooled. They'll sell but the backend service and support doesn't warrant buying big ticket items. read more

Purchased Tv and Sound Bar from Westminster Best Buy on September 3rd was placed on list for install on Sept. 10. When subcontractor Jimmy showed up he did not have the sound bar said it was on back order and that he was suppose to pick up items at the Northglenn Best Buy and was told it was on back order in the end it was never on back order I came to find out! No one ever told us when we purchased the TV and Sound bar that it was on back ordered and being shipped. After I called Best Buy customer service rep could not give me date of expected arrival said I had to wait and call back next day when I did once it arrived I called again as it hadn't been logged in to there system as being received yet so i did. After calling next day again to setup an appointment for another installation of the sound bar as only the TV was installed set it up for Sept. 17. On Sat. September 17 another week later Best Buy installer showed up and said we should have the sound bar according to Best Buy system it showed it was delivered?? We never received anything and how are we supposed to have the sound bar when it was back ordered and appt made for installation no one told us we have to pick up the sound bar or how was it delivered.... So finally went in person to the Westminster Best Buy and letting the sales guys know how frustrated I was after making several phone calls and being told something different again obviously Best Buy computer systems do not communicate!! Finally manager at the Westminster store said they found the sound bar at the Northglenn Best Buy store which obviously was there all along OMG.... how it got lost IDK..... Best Buy computer system and customer service reps have no clue what is going on in situations like this. Was told I could get a discount and to call to get some compensation for this which I did then was told I would be receiving a gift card for $100 which I did not want a gift card to purchase more items from Best Buy as I will not be purchasing anything more from there stores anytime soon due to this mess.. So I agreed to receive this gift card and will just sell on craigslist for my $100 that I really wanted to be put towards my purchase which they could Not do OMG still another issue with Best Buy on fixing situations like mine....Very BAD customer service overall....COMMUNICATION IS KEY! read more

I had the worst experience with the geek squad in this store. I was on vacation visiting family in the area, and my Alienware laptop battery swelled up randomly and started bulging and expanding the area right next to the track pad (both the top and bottom). I took it in, and after ignoring everyone standing in line lost its appeal they told me that I needed an appointment so they could diagnose it and figure out what the problem was. I told him that the battery was obviously expanding and it would be a straightforward repair (one that I was comfortable performing myself). He told me I needed an appointment so that he could help diagnose the problem for me, and to come back in 15 mins so he could help me. Okay, that's cool whatever. I come back 15 mins later and I see the DB leaving because his shift was over. The kid who's left there alone is swamped, and asks that I come back for an appointment at 8:30. We had a death in the family that night, so I came in the next day for an appointment, right on time, and they made me wait like 35 minutes to see me and diagnose the problem. Surprise! It turns out the battery expanded! Who could have guessed? He told it would be two to three weeks because they had to ship it somewhere to have some other person replace the battery. Again, I could have just done it, but they told me it'd void the geek squad coverage. Fair enough. My charger was also coming apart, so the dude ordered me a new one and kept saying it would be here July 29th. It's now August 4th and I've got my laptop but no working charger. It's cool, though, it's only going to be 9-12 more business days until it ships. Even though it's in stock. So I'm sitting there thinking that geek squad must just be a terrible service, when I speak to another geek who informs me that there's a way to get what I need faster! All I need to do is go buy one and get reimbursed (but doing so will cancel my order for the Alienware charger). How can I NOT jump at the opportunity to go give best buy (the only store in my area with anything that will power my computer) money for some janky off-brand universal charger? And then you throw in the added bonus of "getting to wait for an old-timey check to come in the mail from the place I just bought the item from, like some sort of Boomer", and it's like... Save some of that great customer experience for the rest of the companies, buddy. How can anyone be expected to compete with such a high bar? Bought a tripod for my camera on 4/23. On 5/25 I pulled it out to take photos of the lunar eclipse, tried to remove the camera to change lenses and the locking clip broke off in my hand. Used the tripod exactly 2 times. Took it back to Best Buy for a refund because it was defective and they told me they couldn't take it back because it is damaged. That's exactly why I'm returning it, it didn't even make it through 2 sessions!! So, they lost a customer today. I'm sure they don't care about that but I'm also sure they're losing a lot of customers to Amazon because of this awful customer service. BUT, I also want to say, we went to BB to find a 12' optical cable and found one there for $40... thought that's a little high so we googled where we could find a less expensive cord and found one at Ace hardware for $17. The customer support/service is ridiculous. There is no sense of accountability; each department just points fingers at one another when something goes wrong. I had to return a brand new washer/dryer unit a couple days after it was delivered because I didn't want to do business with this particular store. It started out as an error on the sales rep because he failed to include installation with the purchase even though another person double checked his work. We originally scheduled the delivery to be in the evening since we had plans in the morning, but someone from the warehouse called and said if we pushed it to the morning, Best Buy will give us a $100 gift card for our trouble. We went out to Best Buy and they said the gift card would be handled by the warehouse (while the warehouse said it would be handled by customer service in stores). Basically we got played and no one wants to take responsibility for it. Back to the installation situation--we were bounced around to 4-5 different people who told us different things and no one could help get someone out to install for us. We were told our situation was escalated and that someone would contact us to handle our problem. No one called us but apparently they logged that they did. We ended up just returning the units. We're not coming back to this particular Best Buy in the future. Whether it's them or their warehouse or someone, it was frustrating that no one could handle our simple request and the lack of accountability and finger-pointing/blaming was obnoxious. read more
