You can't even talk to anyone in Pensacola, just an AI and a third world disinterested support person who says that the Pensacola BestBuy doesn't answer their phones. Follow up: Went to pay my BestBuy credit card online and their third party vendor wanted my bank account login credentials. If you ever want to experience the full emotional spectrum--confusion, frustration, disbelief, and mild admiration--all in one visit, schedule a Geek Squad appointment. Well, "schedule" is a loose term... apparently, they double or triple book appointments just to keep you humble. After arriving on time for my appointment to drop off a broken iPad, I got to enjoy a solid hour of sitting quietly in an uncomfortable small waiting area where none of the techs--except for one shining star named Tracy--even acknowledged my existence. Tracy deserves a cape. She's the only reason this review isn't a black hole of negativity. The woman somehow keeps this chaos barely glued together with customer service, patience, and probably caffeine. The rest of the process? A circus without a ringmaster. You wait an hour after your appointment, only to spend another hour getting checked in. The seating area is so limited you half expect to be offered a spot on the floor or told to stand "for efficiency." And the kicker? You need an appointment to drop off your broken item--and another appointment to pick it up later. Each of those visits takes about two hours. So if you plan to use Geek Squad, just clear your schedule, bring a book (or three), and pray Tracy is working. She's the only thing standing between order and complete anarchy. read more

I swear going to any Best Buy anywhere in the country must take a year off your life, but this specific review is of the Geek Squad in Pensacola, FL. I had an Apple Watch that was physically broken. I have AppleCare+ which is a no questions asked warranty that will replace the Watch, no matter what happened to it for a $69 fee. I've been paying for this service contract every month since I bought the watch about 4 years ago. So I went online and the Google Ai suggested that if I went to the nearest Apple certified service center I could get it swapped for a new one for $69. The closest one I could get an appt at (you have to have an appt) for the Geek Squad was in Pensacola, a 1 1/2 hr drive each way. I got there 10 minutes early, basically just had to interrupt an employee to get "checked in" and then wait. And wait and wait for over an hour until I just walked up to the employee and said "what's up?" Then miraculously she says "you're up". Great! I say this will be easy, here's my broken watch, here's the serial number, here's my AppleCare+ policy number so just look me up in the system, give me a new watch and we'll call it a day. Nooo, the Geek says it doesn't work like that. She says we take all your info and we send the watch to Apple. If they agree that you are owed a replacement they'll send a replacement. "To me at my address 90 miles away, right?" Nooo, it comes back to the store and you'll have to pick it up. As an aside, while I was waiting for my hour late appt I wandered over to the Apple Products section and corralled one of the Apple Specialists and asked if I bought a watch with the AppleCare+ coverage I could just bring it in and they would swap it for a new one? He says, "there's a $69 fee, but yeah. Anyway, So I said, "after wasting half a day and $50 in gas it turns out I could have just contacted Apple, given them my info and have them send me a new watch today." So that's what I ended up doing. They just want the broken one back. Oh, and it costs $69. The issue isn't really with the way Best Buy handles Apple returns, although I'm not at all confident that the Geek knows what she's talking about. It was the massive time suck this was. The whole Geek Squad marketing BS is laughable when you see 4 or 5 employees just kind of coming and going but not really doing anything with 10 people waiting for service. When you walk up to the Geek Squad Area there is not so much as a sign saying "Check In here". There is no triage-if my Geek had just asked me up front after she got my name and "checked me in-whatever that means" she could have said "and why are you here?" At least she could have told me to go kick rocks an hour or more sooner. I don't usually vent in reviews but this was so unnecessarily infuriating that I want to yell at somebody but I know it's just Best Buy and nobody there gives a rat's a--. read more

Went in to find a shotgun mic and a splitter. Couldn't find a mic, but was trying to find where the splitters were. An older saleman comes up to me and says "looking for some deals?", I respond " I'm trying to find an audio splitter". He walks away without helping me. After waiting an hour for the TV to be brought to our car, Jake came out and said they were having difficulty finding it and asked if we would consider an upgrade for a similar price. The store had just received the new Samsung 75" R85H, a significant upgrade. Jack was able to get the price to within $200 of the TCL...amazing! Customer service would not let me talk to the store. They denied me to speak to a supervisor. So add this up, they sold me a TV that didn't exist, they charged my credit card, for a product that doesn't exist, would not let me talk to the sales person and denied me access to Speak to a manager/supervisor. Filing a police report and contacted an attorney. This is a fraudulent transaction and fraud and a cover up is their business plan. read more

After making an appointment, going to the store and signing in, I waited 30 minutes before I said anything to the lady at the Geek Squad counter. Only after she had asked the gentleman working at the counter to check in a "friend", the friend told him she didn't have an appointment until 3:00, it was currently 1:00, but wanted to ask if she could leave her laptop sooner. Not only did he check her in front of no less than 6 people that were waiting, he took her laptop. I finally asked if there was something I was supposed to do besides check in at the front of the store. The lady at the counter looked up and responded no, that's all, what do you need? I told her I needed the screen saver replaced on my iPhone, she then told me, you'll have to go buy it, bring it back over and we will refund the cost after we replace it. Why in the heck isn't that explained beforehand. I told her I had no idea what type of screen saver I purchased to begin with, as it had a lifetime guarantee. She then told me to go over to the phone service area and someone over there could tell me what type of screen saver I had previously purchased. Fuming, I did just that, the gentleman in that area went above and beyond any service I could have expected. He (Grayson) not only looked up my previous screen, but told me he would be more than happy to replace it. On the way out I told the gatekeeper that Best Buy didn't disappoint me, it's still a lousy store to go into. read more

I was promised an installation time between 230 pm and 730 pm on 11/8/25. I checked my account page on 11/6/25 and the appointment time was shown as 7 am to 7 pm which is ridiculous. I checked my installation time on 11/7/25 and the appointment time was shown as 1030 am to 230 pm, not the time I was promised. I had to call the national customer service number for help since local stores do not accept local calls anymore. A supervisor called me back and told me my appointment time was correct and could not be changed for that day. If you select the reschedule option on the website the only time available defaults to 7 am to 7 pm which is ridiculous. I will not consider Best Buy for installation services again. They obviously do not believe promises made to customers are meant to be honored. read more

I came into the pensacola location today and asked for help to purchase Beats ear buds not only was the associate carrying on a full blown conversation unrelated to wanting buy something or asking for help. I literally had to say excuse me when your done may I get some help . So the associate told me that he will find someone to assist me and to wait by the item that I needed. I waited for about 2 min when I seen an associate walk right pass me and didn't ask if I needed help but ask the people that were across from me did they need help. I immediately let them know how rude that was and I will no longer spend my money with Best Buy. I was in my loomis uniform so I wasn't hard to miss. Horrible customer service. The screen was totally messed up with the right side black and black lines across the width in the middle of the TV. I immediately called and they offered to replace it or let us pick another type of TV and we elected to choose a different TV: an LG. They will deliver the new TV on the 30th and pick up the defective TV. I just want to state my appreciation that they went out of their way to make us happy. Service within the store is always excellent. We can't fault any of the employees. However, we have encountered a long, drawn out situation with buying a Samsung washing machine. After purchasing a washing machine to replace a 5 year old Samsung washing machine, which we purchased from this same location, it took weeks! Three washing machines were brought to our home with only the third being in great condition. The first washing machine to arrive, we kept until another could be brought over, because the new one delivered was badly dented and required me to stand and keep the door pressed firmly shut until the machine locked. Only then, did it work. The next delivered machine to our home was so badly damaged, after unpacking, even the delivery men said we should not accept. The third time was a charm, however a component which attached the washer and dryer together, so that my dryer could steam, was not replaced and now my dryer is unable to steam as it's not longer hooked up to the water. During all of this we were given "discounts" on future purchases to appease us of the damaged and disappointing machines. Now comes the best part. It's been weeks and while "in the system" you can see our discounts, because they yet to have snail mailed them to us we were unable to make a Labor Day sale purchase. When speaking to the managers at the store, they looked much like deer caught in head lights, and said their hands were tied and they could not honor the credits. I forgot my laptop charger (blame pregnancy brain) when I came down to the coast. I called and called places nearby PCB and no one had my specific charger. Ughh. But Best Buy in Pensacola did. Wouldn't be too bad but the bridge is still out from the hurricane last year, so cue a long road trip. I made sure to order ahead of time and selected curbside. What is weird is that the store closes at 7PM, but curbside is open till 8PM. And forget calling the store... it's January 15th and they're playing Christmas music still. 20 minutes on hold and no one answers. We got there and got the charger and got back to PCB. I needed to upgrade my iPad and since the tax free week included electronics, this was the week to do so. In addition to being tax free, the iPad was $100 off so it was time. My preferred model wasn't in stock so I ordered online for pick up. The item arrived at the store earlier than promised and off to Cordova Mall I went. I opted to also trade in my old iPad so I needed geek service to assist in getting this all sorted out. Even though it was a late morning Monday, the lines were kept moving at the customer service counter. I am sorry that I didn't notice my tech's name, but she was kind, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor dealing with with a few glitches while removing the old iPad and adding the new one to my service. I know that sometimes Best Buy gets negative feedback, but this visit proved that not to be the case. And less than 24 hours after trading in my old iPad, the trade in amount was posted to my account. A win all around! read more

It is too bad that I can't give this retail store "zero stars". I purchased a top of the line Bella Pro Series 14 cup touchscreen coffee maker online on August 5th, 2023 and had the shipment sent to our rental agent in Navarre, Florida where we own a condo. I try to replace all our appliances as they get older so that our renters will always have excellent running and new accommodations when staying here. We arrived at the condo on Sept. 1st, 2023 and all my packages were here. We set up the coffee maker and were excited about using it. Well we read all the instructions and as of September 20th...the touchscreen stopped working. We unplugged it; tried again...it wouldn't brew. Then, we plugged it into another outlet...nothing worked. So, we contacted Best Buy and they told us they have a 15 day return policy...I told them the product was defective if it only worked for three weeks. The associate said that was the rules. Can you imagine? I have the box and the shipping box and was going to return it to the store. This rule could have been enhanced if I purchased the 2 yr warranty for $15.99. I asked to speak with a super visor and Johan said that the supervisor would only tell me the same thing. Not even offering a store credit. I will NEVER purchase anything from Best Buy.This is a cautionary tale and warning for anyone who is thinking of buying a product at Best Buy. Buyer Beware!! read more

The only reason they don't get a one is because I had a great sales guy and great installation crew. Spent about five grand on an entertainment system on the advice of one of their supervisors. Guy gave me his card and told me to call him with any questions. Called twice and texted once and was completely ignored. When I went to the store he made it a point to not even look at me, let alone speak. A young man took over and was a big help. Placed the order and set up installation by the Geek Squad. Installers were great. After only three weeks I had a problem. Called their tech support line and was connected to someone who barely spoke English. He was no help whatsoever. Told me I need to have a tech come out. Fine. The soonest they could get to me was three weeks! Figured out the problem on my own. Turned out to be a bad HDMI cord. Called tech support again, told them the problem and asked for a replacement. They told me I could take the bad one to the store myself or wait three weeks for them to get to me. Talked to a total or four so called service reps and not a one of them spoke understandable English. Tried to call the store directly and was told that the store does not accept customer calls. In other words, getting ahold of someone local is not possible. If you're after good customer service, I strongly advise you to go somewhere else. read more

But they had the item we needed and they were the only ones within 100 miles (apparently) who had it, so we were forced to pay their marked up prices and deal with their poor customer service. Steve the installer. My last review was zero for best buy. They put me through hoops to try and get a tv swapped out. I spoke to manager and supervisors and got no help. I planed to return all recent purches. There installer Steve called to say he was on the way. I told hime i needed the 1st of the day or after 4. He took it apon him self to reschedule the day after my problems. He did a great job and even though i went with an older tv, it is way better than the new vizio. If it was not for this installer, i would not consider best buy for future purchases. My old review stands for management. But yoir line staff, gets 5 stars for sure. read more

Went into the Best Buy at Cordova Mall this past Saturday to get a new SIM card for my TracFone. I was directed to a cashier with a lady by the name of Angela for help. I went to her location in the phone department where she was helping a couple in front of me. By far, the BEST of the Best Buy's that I've been to. In particular, the Geek Squad from this location. They actually care and strive to fix your issues and needs. I've used them to hang many tv's, set up a home movie theatre, set up my Sonos and diagnose audio issues in a new home we purchased. In particular, Billy is the man! He's on top of it and has been a life line in not getting frustrated by too much existing technology in my new home and follows up better than just about every other service person I've been working with. That's saying a lot. The in store is very helpful by looking up questions and finding products in a crazy Covid world. They find top of the line products and have communicated well. I've gotten my new washer, dryer, dishwasher and televisions here and I'm happy with the reasonable prices. Top marks for this Best Buy in Pensacola! read more
