Best Buy store #1517 in Richmond Texas. I'm very upset with this Best Buy. They refused to honor a lower price because of a technicality. I understand that's just business. The absolute worst part is how I was treated by their employee Debbie and the GM Will. I could not even get my issue explained because of how the GM cut me off while I was explaining the problem to him. I called the corporate number and made a complaint, but I'm not expecting anything. Best Buy has shown me it does not value its customers. I have spent many thousands of dollars at this store. I even currently have a gift card for $215, but I'm not going to use it. Don't shop here, just use Amazon. That's how I will deal with it. read more

I wanted to update my 9 years old laptop from Window 10 to Window 11. I also wanted to increased the capability, memory, storage, and speed from my current laptop. I been keeping my eyes open for a deal from Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, etc. I saw a Window 11 HP laptop that was over $400 off on Best Buy web site. The specs meet my needs, so I brought it on line. I picked it up next day from a neighborhood Best Buy that was less than 2 miles away. The laptop was ready and the cashier did not try to sell me extra warranty and other add on that I don't need. Not to be confused to Breast Buy which is what Barbi did recently to expand hers even larger, and what apparently she's insisting on for me too. Best Buy is definitely a dying breed and they're nothing near what they used to be. They could still use a lot of help in getting back to the standards they once had, especially in terms of customer service. They're a nightmare to deal with now. Good luck getting something replaced or getting any intelligent help. They should do a better job with the few customers they still get, honestly. Having said that, some of the people here are a lot friendlier than the other location we were at recently. We still didn't find what we needed though, for my dying laptop. This store gave me a horrible experience. I went in to buy some headphones that I had already ordered online to pick up. While the line was long I decided to walk around the store. I seen a tv that was marked 59.99. 55" I decide that was a great deal so I had one of the young men help me carry it to the front he was super nice. When the cashier went to ring it up it come out that it was 199.99$ so I proceeded to walk with her to the back and show her the sign with all the TVs there. Then she called her GM Will over to assist with adjusting the price to appear as it was showing. The Manager proceeded to had a very bad attitude at first. Then he stated no sir the tv is 299.99$ look at the sign it's right here, I proceeded to let him know that the you d lady said it was ringing up at 199.99 mocking him and his attitude. He proceeded to tell me I was childish. And did not honor price letting me know I had to call corporate. I would not recommend going to the store to actually look at things I'd probably just order online like I usually do. Because apparently nobody cares about customer service anymore. read more

He took me right to what I was looking for. I went to the cash register to pay. I was happy to see that after EVERY customer the cashier wipes down the credit card machine and counter!!! Few months back I purchased the 77" Samsung S95C and Sonos Arc w/sub. Service I received was incredible. Rep was very knowledgeable, passionate, all while giving me space to make my own choices! Even helped me through a promo I saw online and through the entire purchase. And in the end even gave me their business card to call if I had any issues with delivery and installation. Great experience for me. Not to take away from everyone else's experience - but if I'm at the store and need help? I seek it out and I do not relent until I have the assistance. I had the worst and the most ridiculous experience with this store just yesterday evening. I couldn't believe that Best Buy was going to charge restocking fee when we tried to return a defective product! I spent over $2000 purchased a Sony camera several days ago, but it turned out it had charging issue, I even tried different cords however all I got was prompted line of "The battery is exhausted" then the screen turned black. The charging light was never on until the minute I got the error messages. I never had charging issue in the past with any cameras I owned, let alone with a new camera. Therefore I searched on line and saw quite a few other consumers complaining about this product with the same issue. I believed this camera I got was defective and we decided to return it to this store right away although I bought it in another store which is far away. We went to the store and explained the situation and they agreed to refund but surprisingly not 100% - they were going to charge us 15% restocking fee including tax !!! Restocking? Did they plan to sell a defective product as open box to another customer? Two people from its Geek Squad took the camera into their back house and after a while came out telling us this is 100% charged! I told them - now I would even more firmly believe this camera has quality issue - if it showed fully charged now, but 20 mins ago right before we drove to the store, it promoted the battery was exhausted and the screen was off, camera couldn't be turned on - it looked like something was unstable. Geek Squad guys insisted that the product had no problems. To be honest , I do not understand why they behaved like they were qualified quality inspectors? they are supposed to send it back to the manufacturer and let Sony quality control guy to do the test and detect the issue. We were not there for trouble shooting on a new product literally hadn't been used at all. We didn't need Geek Squad guy to instruct us how to charge the camera battery - I have over 20 years experience of using camera - went through several generations of camera！We talked to the manager, he insisted that we must pay the restocking fee if we wanted to return this. He even mentioned he owned a same model himself and it was good - but did that guarantee every other camera of this model would necessarily be good??? How ridiculous! Did he expect customers to pay for manufacturer's fault? Who would have trust in them after this and shop here again? We almost shopped all our electronic products from this store in the passed years, simply we were lucky enough and didn't run into defective products. But to find out if a business provides a good customer service or not is to see how it deals with issues and problems. Anyway, the same evening, we drove all the way to the Best Buy where we made the purchase to give it another try, though the store was very far. Luckily, we got full refund finally. Never expected such a hassle! I believe Best Buy indicates on its website that the customer can return the merchandise to any store but not sure how the exact operation is in reality after this experience. read more

I usually NEVER write reviews, but I have to write one for this location, and it is NOT a good one. I go to this Best Buy because of location convenience near my house, but the customer service has been HORRENDOUS. If you're going to price match, don't go to this one because they have a horrible attitude about it. Also, there was an elderly lady having her phone out texting while someone was trying to get her attention. I am overall an understanding person, because I used to work in retail and know what it's about, but don't bring an attitude into the workplace. If you're going to go to a Best Buy, try going to the Sugar Land one because at least they have better customer service. I busted my Ipad with the Apple Care + and Geek Squad Agent Ethan helped resolve the issue in less than 6 days including a weekend (WOW!) Did not have to Give apple a 1000$ hold or take an Uber to Sugar land to the Apple Store. Simple process from drop off to pick up. The only caveat was calling the store for status, entails offshore call center that is not helpful. Excellent staff and experience by Elijah (have not seen him in a while). The store is clean and tidy. In regards to staff, excellent. Elijah, my sales associate greeted me promptly and helped me find the right Apple product for my spouse. He listened to my needs and concerns, he made helpful suggestions. Have purchased many apple products here over the years. Always a pleasure read more

I thought I scheduled my appointment at this address but apparently the time slot was taken so it re-directed me to another location. I was a little angry about it but I walked in and a guy in a BestBuy uniform walk up to us & asked if we needed help. Turns out it was the General Manger of the store Will, I asked the other associate. I appreciated that because my laptop was sent off from another location but same problems persisted. They had a tech onsite today & he verified that there was a issue so it's being sent off again. The first time the motherboard was replaced because of the bad GPU. Recently purchased two expensive TVs and paid to have them delivered and installed yesterday. Delivered wrong TV, technician left without returning and left tools and Texhbwas with Geek Squad. Gave no notice not returning and we had to chase down to even know he wasn't returning, plus left tools and iPad. Now we are told we have to wait four days for them to come back with correct TV and install both TVs . SORRY Customer service. We've been loyal customer since 2013 at this store and spent allot money there, but service is horrible. Avoid Best Buy if you can and they will surely file bankruptcy due to their poor service levels. read more

Worst store for online pickup. I have been to other stores and they usually have two or three employees assisting customers. On Cyber Monday there was one employee and line flowed to middle of store. I live in Katy and will do online pickups at Fry Road or Sugar Land. Will never go to this location again. Very poor organization on the second busiest shopping day of the year. read more

Went to Best Buy, the Richmond, TX location. Found the Skullcandy ANC Headphones. Had to hunt down someone to help me because everything is locked up (understandable). They assigned a person that knew nothing. The ones that were connected to try out didn't work. I couldn't tell which one was which matching to the boxed and priced. I ask the lady with long eyelashes if I could order some iPods she said we didn't have any in stock I told the lady it states on the website you have some and if I order them I can pick them up at the store at 7pm. DON'T ORDER DELIVERIES FROM HERE!! What a horrible experience. We ordered an appliance through Best Buy, and arranged for it to be delivered to the house. After being given a huge window of time for possible delivery and install (I believe they said arrival would be anywhere between 8am - 1pm or something) We missed the delivery running to get food up the street after waiting a few hours, and they left within 6 minutes of arriving (they are supposed to wait 15 minutes from time of arrival). We then had to reschedule delivery, and was forced to do so 3 TIMES due to them losing our order. There was even an issue with the install time being separate from the install!! The last straw was the final rescheduling, when we realized after several hours of waiting on delivery day 3, that it wasn't coming. The man helping us over the phone was rude, uncouth, and eventually drove our business away. Which lead to our money being held by Best Buy instead them refunding us immediately since our missing appliance was "in transit" and not even management has the power to make a refund transaction on deliveries! I usually never write reviews but I'm hoping that someone at Best Buy will see this and make some changes. The customer service was non-existent. I walked all around the store trying to find help, there were employees looking at their phones and apparently working on pick up orders. I asked one person who said he worked in the warehouse and he was going to call someone to help me but that someone never showed up. I finally found what I was looking for and while I was standing in the checkout line I saw a woman ahead of me asking for a bag to put her purchase in, and instead of bagging it for her, the cashier just handed her a bag. After she had walked out, I went to pay for my purchase and noticed she had left her receipt so I gave the cashier the receipt and told him that the woman had left the receipt. He took it, wadded it up and threw it away. When I went to the parking lot I saw the woman in her car so I told her that she had left her receipt and since she seemed to be having trouble walking I offered to go back in and get the receipt for her. The cashier was checking someone else out but I told him that the woman wanted her receipt and he said he didn't have it. I said "You threw it away?" So then he looked in the trash and gave me the wadded up receipt. I just shook my head and took it and gave it to the woman who was very appreciative. On top of the fact that their prices are significantly higher than Amazon plus the fact that their customer service is lousy, not even a "thank you for your purchase" or any verbal interaction with the cashier, I'll do my best to never purchase anything at that location again. read more
