He sent me to where the home theaters are, waiting for the guy who he said would help, never came until an AT&T guy asked me what i needed, we talked awhile buy again he couldn't. Along came a Best Buy associate i asked questions about the product and if their Geeks can install it for me, this guy have no idea, he's just a middles critter roaming around the store, couldn't tell me specs on the mixer he's showing me except the price which is of course in full display. Purchased an APC by Schneider electric performance series model BN1050M that did not work right out of the box. We own and operate our own business and so are extremely busy and did not get back there within 15 days which we learned is the cut off time to return an item. $200 down the drain. What's the sense in having a brick and mortar if they don't takencare of their customers? Go with locally owned shops. You pay more but they don't turn their back on you. Bye bye bestBYE! I will never buy from you again! The extended warranty is a scam and waste of time and $. You pay the $180 a year for free labor and parts. This only covers one year after manufacture warranty. Plus you have to pay a $50 to $100 service fee for them to come look at device. Because they don't look at appliances if you take them into the store. You schedule an appointment 3 days out and take a day off work because they won't let you take the appliance into the store. I know because I took my microwave in and they refused to look at it. They said I have to schedule a service call. Then they email you the day before the scheduled appointment to say they have to reschedule you. So I paid 2 years X $180 a year and $50 service fee for a microwave that cost $400. Here is what happened after the technician got to my house. He opened the microwave. He took a couple pictures of the -SE_ code that was shown, (the same code I told them the day that I called to make the appointment. Then he said he needs to go all the way back to the store to see what the code means so they know how to fix it. I MEAN SERIOUSY? You knew the code before even sending the guy out. NOW, my girlfriend took two days off for them to reschedule one day then come for 10 minutes, take pictures and leave. Now they rescheduled us for Aug 1st to come out and supposedly fix it. ANOTHER DAY MY GIRLFRIEND HAS TO TAKE OFF WORK TO BE AT THE HOUSE... All this could have been taken care of at the store when I drove it over there. I recently bought a 75 inch Samsung TV from Best Buy. I paid them $250 to mount and install. Best Buy uses a third-party to do their mounting. The team they sent did not mount the TV properly as the cable broke the first time I used the mounting bracket flexibility. I then paid them another $350 to use the right bracket and install the wires in my wall. They have scheduled to come out here three times and have never shown up. I talked with three customer service people plus the service manager at their local facility. Each person told me that they would tell their mounting people that did not work. Do NOT trust their "Geek Squad." They totally misdiagnosed my Apple computer, and also wiped out several year's worth of Google bookmarks without warning me. During my first trip, it appeared that I was dealing with a legit tech person, who made numerous promises. Five days later, I returned, and found out that they had made a mess of my laptop. I couldn't even speak to a regular tech person at that point. I was dealing with some "assistant," who kept running to the "back" every time that I asked a question, because he didn't know the answer. Oh, and two weeks later, I took it to another Best Buy, to see if they could correct their mistakes (after all, I had PAID for the "repair"). They basically said that they did not care what the printed report said (in my possession), and that they would start over again at THEIR store. WHAT??? Best Buy is pretty much the same no matter where you go, but for the record, I feel like this one is more organized, less cluttered, and there seemed to be more staff ready to assist you. Location wise, the store is situated outside 410 on a busy access road. Since I don't frequent this area, I find not only the parking lot difficult to navigate (by that I mean it isn't easily connected to other area stores), but getting back onto the highway is a royal pain in the you-know-what. But, maybe that's just me! I loved that I could make my purchase at another Best Buy and within minutes pick it up at another location. Ridiculous, amateur work behavior at BestBuy 9/1/22. Yesterday AND TODAY I contacted BestBuy Total Tech support. It is a tech support membership we paid for a year that includes PC tuneups and other tech support for a year. When I called Best Buy Totaltech both times I requested a list of specific repairs. BOTH times, the tech only did the basic tuneup, ignoring the other 4 items on the list I gave the first agent. I need this fixed ASAP but I do not need a repeat of this behavior where tech does his thing and goes way without finishing the job. This is disappointing and makes us wonder who is in charge of this BestBuy group. We have had tuneups done twice in the past and they did go off without a hitch but these two times yesterday and today are outrageous - they do not complete the job and then just leave us hanging. We called back again for third time and awaiting on the PC and phone for a followup. I purchased a 24" roku TV on 11May2023. The TV stopped working within 6 weeks I took the TV back today 22June2023. It was out of warranty already and nothing could be done. My girlfriend's phone needed a screen replaced under warranty which was initially done at the Rim location. However, the problem persisted so we went to this location to get it taken care of. However, the Geek Squad manager, Andrew Tovarez, told me that I had to go back to the Rim location. I went back to the Rim location as Andrew was unwilling to work with me and they confirmed to me that Andrew should have indeed taken care of the situation. Furthermore, I also called the Geek Squad number and their representative also confirmed the same. Please have a manager call me back. I am not a fan of this Best Buy. Parking is always an insane issue around here. Be prepared to hoof it for a while. There's always a line to check out, and they're generally inept behind the counters. They did have the part I needed, at nearly 4x what I found it online for. They managed to get me an opened package that seemed to be in good order, for $10 off. But it was still wildly overpriced. I'll never quite understand how they decide to sort their inventory of stuff. This new layout of the store throws me off. I'm always a fan of being able to play some free video games, but I can rarely find them free to play on. IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!!!! We bought an open-box fridge from the Best Buy Outlet, and we were told multiple times that the only thing wrong with it was a dented freezer handle. We were told that everything in the fridge worked perfectly, and that we would have no issues since they had "tested the fridge." We got the fridge home, plugged it in, and the fridge will not cool AT ALL. Completely worthless fridge. As the fridge had the geek squad warranty, we called them to schedule a technician to come fix it. They couldn't get someone out here for 10 days, and rescheduled several times on us, and told us wrong dates and times on multiple occasions, causing issues with work and school. Technician looked at the fridge for less than 2 minutes, and said he would order a part, but that we were another 10 days out from getting it put in. By this time, we are outside of the return policy, conveniently for Best Buy. Technician comes back 10 days later, puts a new part in, and the fridge STILL doesn't work. We are already 3 weeks into having NO fridge, and they won't look at it again for another week. Every person we have called has been completely incompetent, and cannot help. I ordered a washing machine with installation last week and scheduled it for delivery today. Got a text and email today, which was my scheduled delivery day, that they'd be here at 12:55. Called customer service at 4:45 PM since no one had shown up. Turns out the washing machine wasn't even in the warehouse. Oh, and while delivery could be rescheduled by the Geek Squad assistant for three days from now, the installation is a separate crew and separate schedule that can't be rescheduled now. I have to go online and do that sometime up to 24 hours from now. After I get another email. I'm now wondering whether I will be able to reschedule the installation to coincide with the delivery - customer service couldn't help with that - or whether I'll have a boxed washing machine sitting in my living room until the installation squad comes some day. I'm now calling this company Less-Than-Best Buy. It took two customer service calls to get to this point. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Giving them a 1 rating of "Not Good" for now because maybe the delivery and installation people will be so awesome that I completely forget about this deranged arrangement. Ha ha. read more
