I hate this store. I went there the other night to help a friend pick out a laptop. He found the one he wanted and we asked an employee if they had it in stock. He replied "No. We don't." and walked away. He then stood around and stared off into space. He didn't make any attempt to help us at all. I checked online to see if other stores had any. They didn't. They also didn't have any at Bestbuy.com. Obviously, I was confused. I'm standing there in the store looking at a laptop with a big sale sign on it. Yet they didn't have any in a 50 mile radius and no ability to ship me one. Why would they keep it on the shelf at all? Maybe this is why they are going out of business? I dont buy from them, mostly younger staff that dont have a clue unless they have owned it themselves, DO NOT USE THEIR BATHROOM GROSS UNSAFE, I brought my 4 yr son in there to go there was urine on floor and poop around toilet and used toilet paper hanging around. Not for nothing but an employee came out of there as we where going in. When we carefully came out he was in his department and apparently didnt care of the grossness. I would like to share the single worst retail experience of my 54 year life. Ten months back, I purchased 2 washer dryer units at the Best Buy in Braintree, Ma for a 2 family building that I recently renovated. I opened a Best Buy credit card in order to receive a small discount on the purchase. Approximately a week later I was waiting for delivery, when I decided to call the store to check on time. After waiting for a couple of hours and contacting the store, I was informed that the items were no longer in stock and would not be delivered. Best Buy agreed to cancel the transaction and refund the store credit card that I had opened. At this point, I was simply willing to call my Best Buy experience disappointing at best. Roughly two months later, I received a call from the Best Buy credit department. They said that I was delinquent on the payment to my account. I explained that the items that I was sold were out of stock and were never delivered. Further the transaction was canceled. I waited on hold while the transaction was reviewed. I was told that clearly the transaction was canceled, but the amount that was delinquent was for the interest on the purchase. I thought how could you charge me interest on an item that Best Buy did not have in stock to sell me? The employee on the phone agreed and said he would rectify the situation. Roughly a month later, I received a similar call from Best Buy's credit department again stating that my account was delinquent. I went through the same process again with this employee who again agreed to rectify the situation. Recently I started the process of refinancing my home. It was quite a surprise to be told that my credit score was too low to refinance. I couldn't believe when I reviewed the report to see that the only delinquency was a Best Buy account. I immediately contacted their credit division and was told that I would need to write a letter and that the process would take about 60 days. To summarize my Best Buy experience, I purchased 2 sets of washers dryers with a store credit card. The purchased items were never in stock. Several hours of my time were wasted while waiting for a delivery that was never coming. Best Buy then thought it was ok to charge me interest on items that they never had in stock to sell me. When I brought this to their attention they agreed that the transaction should be canceled, but failed to do so......twice. Most importantly, they are now telling me that the giant mess that they created will take at least 2 months to fix. Should this store really be called Best Buy, perhaps Worst Buy ever!! read more

Due to a catastrophic accident with my roommate's laptop, we went over to the local Best Buy to replace it with the same laptop model. We get there, find the model we want, locate it in the locked cabinets and wait. And wait. And wait some more. What should have been a 5 minute visit was 45 minutes. We only got greeted in the last 10 minutes of the visit. The laptop dept was very busy, and management staffed it with a whole 2 associates. Thus, due to poor customer service and a distinct lack in planning, we will not be going back here, nor giving this store any of our money. read more

Very upset with my experience here. I picked out a dishwasher in store and set up a date for them to deliver, everything went fine until the delivery date. They gave me a window of time to be home to deliver the dishwasher (8am-12pm) I got a confirmation call on the day before they were supposed to deliver stating when they would arrive and to expect a call. On the actual day of the delivery I waited all day for them to come until about 3:30 I decided to give them a call and see what was going on. It wasn't until I CALLED them that I was told the dishwasher was on backorder and they could get it out to me in about a month. I ended up canceling the order completely due to how dissatisfied I was. I cannot believe this is how they treat their customers! will never be returning to this location. After driving from Florida to Massachusetts and having our GPS freeze every 15 miles we decided to head to Best Buy for an exchange. We brought the device, accessories and extended warranty paperwork expecting to go through a big to-do exchange process. We took everything to the customer service counter and briefly waited. The customer service rep quickly assessed the situation and set us up for an exchange. We were in and out with no problems! read more

I am only giving them 3 stars because I feel like you always need to wait to get help at this location. Yesterday I went to the Best Buy store in Danvers, MA to buy a washing machine. I have stackable units and the dryer still works fine, but the washer does not. I was willing to consider all options, however, the rude and distracted salesperson was not in the least bit interested in speaking to me. He did, however, look at the specifications which I had printed out and immediately told me that I would never be able to replace just the washer as the stacking hardware had changed many times since my original purchase. He then abruptly thrust the paper back to me with a comment indicating that I would never find anyone to replace just the washer. That may be true, but I would have been happy to look at a new stackable washer and dryer unit or smaller individual units, however, it was clear to me that he just wanted to move on to something more interesting to him, whatever that might have been. He was simply obnoxious. I will be buying a complete new unit from Lowe's down the street. Maybe Best Buy should spend less money on ads and more on customer service training for its staff. They might also consider an addition to their name, Best Buy, Worst Customer Service. read more

The store is convenient to route one and if you need to make an electronic purchase it is probably on stock. The salespeople are helpful and knowledgable but obviously working on a commission so you have to know exactly what you are looking for. Now basically if you realize that after all the add ins the product is still within your budget that turns out ok. You have to watch out though for the service contracts and the extras that they try to sell you. You have to let common sense prevail or else you end up spending more than you originally anticipated. At the end of the day this is where I go but if you are not a somewhat savvy consumer you will end up spending more than you should. Interestingly they have a greeter which reminds me of Walmart. read more

My mum and I were shopping for a washer and dryer. We were fortunate enough to meet Jason Azul, our fantastic Sales Associate. Jason was extremely professional and knowledgable. He was patient with all of our questions and was able to answer them all!!! Jason also listened to what we needed and made the appropriate suggestions.. I was looking to compare prices on a cell phone. I was switching from metro pcs to another carrier but wasn't sure who to go with. I had gone to a few places and wasn't happy either with service or pricing. the associate who helped me was 869176 he was very helpful patient,and polite. he went over my options in detail and offered me a great deal within my budget. I was very pleased with the service and my purchase. Do NOT bring your computer there for repair!!!! EVER!!! A while ago, when my pc all of a sudden got really slow, I brought it in to Best Buy (thinking they would be fast and cheap, hopefully)...and had a horrible experience: An unfriendly and impatient guy - a family-guy look-alike minus the humor - at the help desk started the pc several times, then force shut it down each time, by simply pulling the plug, then opened it and started unscrewing parts of it in front of my eyes, to then simply tell me, I needed a new pc!!! When I got home, the pc wouldn't start up anymore at all!! I was extremely upset, to say the least. I really needed a second opinion, and so went to Apex, in Malden. They were super friendly, and immediately figured out the problem: The Best Buy guy had PURPOSEFULLY switched two cables inside the pc, so it wouldn't start up anymore!! ...of course I went back and filed a complaint. I confronted the guy and he just shrugged his shoulders, saying he doesn't think it's his fault and he didn't remember what was wrong with the pc (a day before!)...I will never go there again!! The gunny part is, Best Buy had offered me to keep my "trash" to either get rid of it for me, or fix it for "roughly $500"...!! The other place quickly fixed it within 5 min, for free!! I certainly learned my lesson!! I give them 0 stars! read more

I had an upgrade due for December 9th. I was pretty excited to get the iPhone 6. I had just graduated college and got some money a few days after my phone was eligible so I figured, now is a great time to get the phone. Well I guess I should have known better since it was the week before Christmas but I was determined. I did not realize how difficult it was going to be. I had gone to best buy in Danvers, best buy mobile in dancers, and the AT&T store in Danvers. No one had the phone, or no one could process my upgrade. I felt defeated. I finally called at&t in saugus they wasted my time for 45 minutes so I figured I would try best buy in Saugus and if they too couldn't deliver I would give up. I waited in a long line before finally sitting across a very friendly best buy employee, Natali. She was polite and funny and right away we got along. I had thought to myself that even if they didn't have my phone at least she was pleasant and helpful. Natali looked all over the store (literally) for an iPhone 6. I had my heart set on gold but told her I would take whatever she had. Although she was skeptical of whether or not I would have luck she continued to look for me. Finally she found the phone, and in gold to boot! After being so incredibly awesome she not only scoured the store for the perfect case that would compliment my new gold phone, but also applied my tempered glass screen protector. Natali hands down is one of the best employees that best buy has. Not only does she have a great personality but she truly cares about customer service. These employees should be getting commission. Best Buy in Saugus exceeded my expectations and their employees are great people. read more

Went in to buy a MP3/Ipod connector to my car. The first woman told me "Go talk to Mobile". I went over there and 1 woman was talking to a customer, upselling everything under the sun while I waited in line. I was there 20 minutes before another person walked over and asked a woman who had just walked up, "can I help you". Here I am waiting almost 1/2 hour and he immediately talks to the woman walking by. I called Radio Shack while I waiting in line (its literally right next door in the mall) and the clerk said he will have it waiting for me when I come in. I walked out and had my connector less than 10 minutes later. SAVE YOURSELF TIME GO TO RADIO SHACK!!!!! read more

While this Best Buy may not be the biggest it is definitely the friendliest and the most helpful of Best Buys in the area. They answer the phone every time. The lines are always short. The mobile center is AMAZING! I really wanted to pre order my iPhone 5 yesterday but I felt sick to my stomach about calling BB Danvers to see what the deal was. Then I remembered Saugus BB mobile was awesome because I had bought my boyfriends phone here. I called, had all my questions answered, went in, no line, someone came up to me to see if I needed help in under a minute. I seriously love this place! If you just need something that every BB will have go here. If you need a larger BB with all the glimmer go to Portsmouth, NH. These 2 locations are what keep me a BB silver rewards customer! read more

UPDATE: I just came across trhis old review, and I had to make an update, because I remember that this earlier review I came across, was just a very bad experience. Overall, since then, I have purchased and electric stove from Best Buy, a dishwasher for my mother, and many other products. I used their credit card, the Best Buy ccredit card which is no interest if paid within the time period listed. Customer service has been outstanding as well. Last incident I can recall was the Google Play Tv I had purchased their. It was over the refund period, but the young blonde lady who helped me, after listening to the reason I was returning the product, said that it was still covered under warranty, and that I could be refunded the money as store credit. This was on the day of no taxes, so I had returned it and bought the Amazon tv instead. All in all Best Buy, in Saugus, at the Square One Mall, deserves nothing less than five stars. They have been extraordinary in customer service, products they sell, and even the store credit card I reccomend using. Someitmes my emotions take the best of me which is why i had wrote the previous message, but after signing on to yelp, and seeing this old review, I felt that I owed Best Buy and their team this review. I had a ten year old Compaq Presario that had a bad hard drive.After talking to their computer salesman Alex,who was very polite and very helpful.His computer knowledge was very good.So I decided to purchase the computer he suggested a Acer TC605 which was on sale for $563.00.Brought my computer in to have them transfer my data on to the Acer.The salesman at the desk quoted me a price of $60.00 for transfer of data.I told him fine,then he says hold on I have to check the price of transfer.He goes back to the Geek Squad,and comes back and says that the price of transfer is $80.00.We hem and haw but we decide to do have it done.Then the salesman says hold on for a minute,and goes back to the Idiot Squad,and comes back and says that it will be another $30.00 for set-up fee.WTF! I ask to see the manager.But she tells me that thats the price and will not budge or even work with me.They were rude,and not knowledgeable on the whole process to satisfy a customer.I told them what they could do with their computer,and told them the only one in the store that was any help was Alex who wanted to sell me the computer.I left and my wife found Alfa Computer on line which had a very good reputation on their Yelp site.So l took my computer there,and lo and behold they were fantastic.Bought my computer there with no charge for a diagnostic,set-up,and transfer fee.They also gave me a brand new keyboard free of charge.So if you have any computer,laptop,or tablet problems,Alfa Computer in Woburn is the place to go.You will not regret it. read more

Went in to look at a car stereo around 7 PM on a Saturday night. I just got a new car but the stereo doesn't have all the options I want (aux jack, USB port) so I want to upgrade it. There weren't any sales reps to be found in that part of the store so we walked over to the computer section where there were about 4 or 5 workers and, after trying to get their attention, we were told someone would help us. A few minutes later, a young man does come over and we asked if he could help us. "I'll try," was his response and it came across as though we were bothering him with our presence. I had written down the current model to see what would work with it and gave him the paper and after he disappeared for a few minutes, we decided the hell with it and left. I should mention I went into the Danvers store earlier this week to check the stereos out and I got IMMEDIATE and FRIENDLY help from the associate. But this store? Forget it. Unattentive staff bordering on rude. The only reason we went to this one was because we were in the area. I will NOT be back. read more

Yesterday I went to the tv section of the Saugus store and there were 8 employees behind the desk - some clearly not helping customers. I asked if someone could help me and was looked at by the person closest to me (Adam) and ignored. I then indicated that there are 8 people behind the desk, and asked if anyone could help me. One employee indicated that they would and then Adam raised his hand and said "no you won't", and in a very curt tone asked me what I needed and that they have several other customers that needed help. I indicated that I needed a cable and Adam said "ok, you can help her". First of all the tone in which Adam spoke to me was humilating and uncalled for, and sent a bad example of how to help customers in front of the other employees and customers standing there. Second, all I was trying to do was find where the coaxil cables were so I could make a simple purchase. I have been a big fan of BestBuy and purchased many products from them over the years. I should be considered a Gold level customer. However, after my last two visits to the Saugus store I will be finding a new place to buy electronics. My visit prior to this there were several employees standing around talking amongst themselves, no one asked to help me. When I went up to ask them where something was located, I got a "if we have them they would be over there" with a finger point and no offer to verify that the had what I was looking for or to take me to the department. Customer service has really deteriorated here lately! Too bad becase the Saugus store is convenient to me, but I will now drive out of my way to get the same thing. read more

Since the demise of Circuit City, Best Buy has become the only brick and mortar shopping option for electronics. Their customer service has been in steady decline for some time. Their return policy is poor unless you shell out for an extended warranty. I purchased a laptop at this Best Buy and the charging port failed. I brought the unit back to the store and the clerk said they would send it back to Samsung to see if a repair would be covered under the manufacture warranty. A week later the computer was delivered back to the store. They did not send it to Samsung. They sent it to their GEEK SQUAD repair shop instead. I was told a repair would cost $420. The laptop cost $379!! I instead brought it to a local repair shop and they replaced the mother board for $120!. Look elsewhere for your electronic purchases. Amazon with a Square Trade extended warranty is a much better option in my opinion. read more
