Excellent online purchasing experience with Best Buy. I found a great external Dell DVD drive on sale at a great price. No other retailer was even close to that deal. I bought it and--amazingly--it was delivered the next day even though I chose not to pay extra for it. The drive is just what I wanted and I remain impressed I got to buy it at that sale price. Best Buy isn't always a great place to buy major appliances and have them installed, as can be seen from my previous reviews. But in this case, the company came through for me and I will purchase online from them again. read more

Very disappointed ! I purchased a TV, delivery and set up. The morning of the delivery day I recieved a text telling me that my delivery would not occur and to call to reschedule. I had great difficulty reaching the AI message which eventually told me they could deliver my TV in two weeks. I had already waited two weeks for my TV . It is not possible to call the Best Buy store directly. All phone calls are routed to an out of the country site. Customer service is non existent. In desperation, I drove the 45 minutes to Silverdale, canceled my purchase and went to Costco purchased the same TV at a lower price. read more

Had a front and rear camera installed. Then, my car started not responding to my key fob. Took the car to the dealership and it took them a couple of weeks to figure out the problem. It cost me $200 dollars for them to find the that one of the battery plugs inside my car was damaged and partially plugged in. This caused everything to short out. Since the camera and the installation wasn't a factory part, the warranty will not cover the cost. They also removed a GPS tracking device that was installed without my knowledge. Whoever installed that would have to have access to the inside of my car. The only place that had this access before the dealership was Best Buy. I'm the only driver, the car is only a year old, the car is kept in a locked garage, and never left unlocked. If you're a single woman or have no knowledge of how these things work, your car isn't safe for any installation done unsupervised here. Also, don't use their appointment service by phone. They will not set up your appointment without paying up front for your installation service. They want you to pay through an app they text you to your phone. The phone number listed online for the Silverdale, WA store isn't the number for the actual store it sends you directly to this calling service. There is NO number available to contact the store directly. I made my appointment online through the Best Buy site. I answered the prompts, made an appointment, and wasn't asked to pay upfront. When dropping the car off there was only one technician there, he pulled my car into the hanger there while I waited in the parking lot. There should be TWO technicians there instead of one to hopefully keep them honest. Best Buy isn't recommended. Improper staffing and supervision of staff. Lack of proper training causing damage and repair costs due to negligence. Having an installation and finding an illegal placement of a GPS tracking device speaks for itself. read more

Reviewing Geek Squad and IT Services: Apparently an appointment must be made to SIMPLY DROP OFF a computer for repair. If you don't already know this, you will have wasted whatever precious time it took you to drive to the store and back (for me about 30 mins each way), walk into the store with your computer, stand and wait for any kind of acknowledgement (for me, almost 15 minutes), only to be told you have to make an appointment just to drop off. Absolutely RIDICULOUS! When I told the associate at the door on my way out my opinion of this service model, and how is anyone to know of this policy until after the fact of wasting their time, she shrugged, said "sorry" and told me to make an appointment later in the week. read more

We were looking for someone to help us with monitors, and we caught Brandon's eye. He said he'd call someone for us, since he was busy with another customer. He circled back around to help us, since we didn't have anyone else come. Brandon is the best. He helped us not only with monitors, but figuring out which WiFi extension we needed, which TV we wanted to buy, mount, and a garage fridge. His expertise was super appreciated, and we walked out of there very happy. Thanks Brandon, for taking your time, being patient, and explaining all the different tech products to us. They are nice enough in the store....the problems begin when you have to call customer support. My Total membership lapsed because I was sent a new credit card so it did not auto renew and expired. When I tried to call to give them new card info on the 4 calls I had to make: 1) Very noisy background, like a boiler room 2) Long hold times before the phone was even answered 3) After they answered the call and took down my basic info they put me on long holds, not checking back 4) When I tried to speak with a customer service supervisor they hung up on me 5) I was told I could call back as it would take 24 hours to reset my account but when I called back they had no clue about renewing me and said the apple care and warranty that comes with being a Total Member would be gone on the 6 or so items I had purchased. I think Costco is the way to go...they offer extended service on all electronics you buy from them......Not giving anymore money to Best Buy.......Sorry, I don't like leaving bad reviews but after 4 calls and about 2 hours of time invested/lost, mainly on hold I'm done....and don't want others to have to go through this. I have been a Best Buy member for over 20 years and do a lot of travelling. I can tell you that this Silverdale Best Buy is the worst service. I have had at any location been here twice and neither time did I get my problem solved had the same problems in Phoenix and Tampa and got my phone and computer repaired without any problem for the same service that Silverdale says they can't do unbelievable didn't realise different locations had different policies will wait till I get to another location read more

We have a Samsung phone that needed to be unlocked, and I called what I thought was a local number to find out if the Geek Squad could assist us. We made an appointment after describing the situation, and then drove an hour and a half (from Port Angeles to Silverdale) to this Best Buy location, which allegedly has Samsung specialists. When we arrived, the technician stated that the only way to open the phone would be to reset it to factory settings which would wipe any pictures and contacts not saved to the Cloud. I could've saved the trip and simply followed guidance from Google ... when I called, the person scheduling the appointment never indicated a reset/wipe would be required. The technician at the store shrugged and said that the answering service is problematic and that he, too, is disappointed with how ineffective it is. Lessons learned: 1. ALWAYS backup your phone. 2. iPhones are much easier to trouble shoot and offer better options for unlocking a phone 3. Don't ever drive an hour and a half for service at Best Buy. Save the trip and start with the device manufacturer. In hindsight, this would've been the best option. read more

Best service ever. I had to have a dash cam (front and back camera) installed and Tim, their auto technician, went above and beyond in the installation for a very affordable price. He is BRILLIANT!!! I am so incredibly happy (my van was not easy either because it's a large Promaster). I'm now planning to have my radio updated by Best Buy because I am extremely pleased with their services and prices. I recommend them to everyone!! read more

I purchased a phone there today. It was an inexpensive one (I am not a phone guy so I only want the basics of a so-called smartphone). The employee that helped me was Hector. Hector is a local "kid". He grew up and went to school here and has been involved with cell phone services since he was 16. His experience and knowledge were evident. Hector was efficient and very helpful. He went into several details, such as the differences in the foam for comfort, adjustable headband options, compatible cables, etc. He was patient with my dad and took the time to answer all of his questions. Predatory sales staff and worthless customer service. My wife has a hard time speaking English, so they decided to take her for $3500. She mistakenly bought the wrong item as a gift. It was immediiately returned and in original packaging but they refused. Talking to these people (if you can talk to a human at all) is like talking to a rock. I went to Best Buy to see the Samsung Galaxy Tablet 6s and I was prepared to purchase one. The store has a horrible layout! I found the Samsung Galaxy Tablet 5 in a completely different section than the 6s. They were rows apart and there is no logic to the placement. Is there a tablet section? You bet; the 5 and 6 s are not in that section together. Is there a Samsung section? Yes. Found neither device there. I gave up and on my way out found the 6s. I looked it over a good 20 mins and I realized I wanted it but had not yet been helped. I went to the desk near the tablets. It looked like 1 person was helping a customer and two more were training. I waited quite a while and then a "trainee " asks if I need help. Turned out nobody was training they were just ignoring me. They seemed young and I really wanted that Tablet so I kept my cool. I told the gal what I wanted. I asked a technical question (the difference in Wifi vs. having the ability to use cellular data). She did not have a good answer nor did she say she would find out - I would rather have no answer than a BS'd one any day. She went and got the Tablet for me and she didn't ever ask what color I wanted. She came back with Grey one, I had wanted the Blue one. At this point I wanted to just leave, but I really wanted the Tablet, so I did not ask her to go back to get a Blue a one. She managed to ring it up without talking to me, she didn't ever tell me the total although she did manage to indicate when to put my card in. Then, without saying anything, randomly starts writing me a Gift Card for $50. I told her I did not ask for a Gift Card and only then does she tell me I qualified for a $50 Gift Card promo they were having. That would have been nice to know up front. Also, I tried to order the keyboard, but told her I would order it myself after she said it would take "some" time to look-up. I had to clarify the Return Policy as well. Nothing was willingly given about the device or the store. Sticking to Costco and Amazon for my Electronics! Best Buy's customer service was horrible! read more

I really don't know how this place is still open. The best part of visiting here, was the greeter. He was the only person who acknowledged me and was mildly helpful. I came here looking for a cellphone case and couldn't find where the cases were for my phone. When I asked for help, I apparently interrupted a group discussion on after work plans, but they at least gave me a plastic box to sift through to find my case. Needless to say, I didn't get a case. I'll continue just ordering from Amazon and waiting 2 days for my stuff, rather than feel like I'm interrupting someone's day. read more

Waiting for my Smart Refrigerator to get installed. I am absolutely blown away by the incompetence that I am experiencing with the people at Best Buy. I am not one to leave negative reviews, but the fact that I have no one at Best Buy to speak with about this issue, is part of the problem. My wife and I purchased a $2500 refrigerator to be delivered/installed last week. I gave detailed information to a Best Buy employee about the unit that we were replacing, as well as the fact that our kitchen is on the second floor. I took a half of a day off from work to wait for the scheduled delivery and when the truck arrived, I was told that the job required four men, and they only sent two. Someone must have messed up the work order and I would have to reschedule. In order to prepare for the delivery, we had to "clear a path" to the install location. This meant moving furniture, rolling up rugs, and removing banisters from our stairwell. Nevermind the fact that we moved the contents of our fridge into a camping cooler. So here we are a week later, waiting for the 4-man install crew to arrive. The original delivery window was 7:30am-1:30pm, but I received a text stating that they were narrowing it down to 9:30-11:30. My wife took the morning off from work to let the installers in. At 11:00, I get a call from Best Buy. THEY SCREWED IT UP AGAIN! With 30 minutes left to go in the install window they call to tell me that the person who rescheduled the install in the system put in the notes that they needed four people, but forgot to specify it in a second area. Short version:only two guys in the truck, so we will have to reschedule...and miss more work In the meantime, we get to enjoy living out of a cooler with my furniture all pushed off to the side and no railings in my stairways. I ask if I can speak to supervisor, since there is nothing to be gained from screaming at a Geek Squad call center employee in Ontario. I am told that they cannot give out any of the phone numbers since they are for Best Buy internal use only. My only recourse is to sit back and wait for someone to contact me...well that and start lighting them up in forums like this one. If I had it to do again, I would have 100% bought the fridge from Home Depot or Costco. Lesson learned. read more

I took my iPad air gen4 in for a repair. I was told by the tech that it would be no more than a week and that Apple usually just replaces the unit. One week later no updates. I spent a half an hour on the phone trying to track down anybody who knew anything only to find out that you can only call a national call-center. These people are working from home and have no support. You cannot call the store directly so as of now I have no idea where my iPad is and neither does the store. I really wish I would've just gone to an Apple store. This should get interesting! read more

The people working in the computer department were great at helping me find what best suited my needs. A+ to those guys. Give them a raise. I have a different story for geek squad. I pay for their services and I had to bring in my laptop multiple times. The response I got were something to the effect of, "Bummer. Looks like there's nothing we can do unless you want to drop a bunch of money for a hard drive." or worse, "There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it." Like really? I'm no computer guy, but what computer these days has a storage of 220 GB??? The computer storage was solely the Solid State Drive. That really didn't tip them off? The hard drive was corrupted, it didn't even show up on my computer, it just vanished one day and I lost many important files. It was only after relentlessly searching the web for answers, I finally found out why I had next to no storage space. So the last time I brought it in, and I gave them the diagnosis which took me hours to find, which shouldn't have been my responsibility since I paid for the geek squad service. They go "Oh okay that makes sense." and they mess with it for MAYBE 5 minutes and go "Yep it's corrupted. You have the replacement plan though, so want to just go ahead and trade it in?" While I was happy to find out I was going to get a new computer, I was really disappointed that there was almost no attempt to actually fix it and possibly recover the files I lost. Very poor effort from the geek squad and I have very little intention of using their services again. Especially since it's a 2 hour drive to this Best Buy, and I don't want to make the journey just to get a nothing answer. After this point, I was so glad to get to pick out my new computer, and the customer service was very pleasant and incredibly helpful, and new each machine inside and out and help me narrow down the computer which I now have which is great. Were it not for that very positive experience this would be a 1-star review. read more

I don't typically do this but I want to let the store know that as a customer it is frustrating that when you call your local store you can't get through instead you to go a international phone service that needs your full name and phone number to have someone call you back. They told me the stores no longer accept phone calls. I understand they might be trying to cut costs but I feel like this is creating poor customer service. read more

When you try to call the local number it goes to a national call center. After seven minutes on hold I explained that I had a question only the local store could answer. I was warned it would be a long hold time, which is ironic, and that there was a chance the call could drop. I explained my question and they agreed they could not answer my question. After several frustrating hours on the phone and online I was told that I would have to go to a store to get it activated but there were no appointments available. I decided to try my luck. I've always had ZAGG protective screens on my cell phones but usually had my cellular company install them. I went to Best Buy and had to return it 3 times because they didn't install it well. There were always edges lifting up. Best Buy told me it would settle... never did. Always said t was ok to return and try again. Returned it for the 4th time and went directly to ZAGG in the Kitsap Mall. Walked right up, told the guy my concerns. He applied the protector in minutes and it looks flawless! It was twice the price as Best Buy (even with a military discount) but I am confident it was applied correctly. Plus I still get the full replacement warranty on it. Just skip the box store and go directly to the manufacturer to install. Thanks ZAGG guy! I cannot believe how truly horrible the Best Buy experience was for us. We went in to buy a dryer, and they sold us a gas dryer! The ticket didn't say it was gas. The associates didn't know it was gas. The paperwork inside it was for an electric dryer. We returned it and ended up buying a different dryer. It ended up being okay, but I couldn't believe they missed such an important detail! Then, my husband was looking to upgrade his cell phone and we went back to inspect their inventory. They sold us a phone with different specs than the ticket. It was a blatant bait and switch, and the associates blamed it on corporate Best Buy. It was a "printing issue" that the ticket listed specs for a phone that isn't even for sale yet - anywhere. So, no, it was a deliberate coercive endeavor to trick customers into paying too much for a cheap phone because they think it is a better phone. Absolutely unacceptable. The associates were awful about it, too, because they don't understand the significance of deceptive business practices like this. We will never return to this Best Buy location because the associates were so clueless and deceptive. read more

Train wreck, ordered 3 appliances, waited a month brought the refrigerator out yesterday but said it was too slippery due to rain and couldn't bring it in, the guys will bring it in the following day when they deliver the range and microwave. They left fridge in garage, following day delivery people say they don't have an order to bring fridge in house, so they won't. Cancelling entire $5800. order and going to Lowe's. My Chevy never sounded so good. The guys at the auto center fixed a dinging bell so I could listen to my radio. My remote start works awesome. I never have to get into a cold truck. Music is playing when I get in. It's awesome! I really appreciate the professional job they did and how fast they worked to get it done. He also explained the problem, just a pinched wire. I also was able to shop while I waited for my truck to be fixed and was helped by two other employees while shopping in the stereo section. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining my concerns. They even offered other alternatives and listened intently to my explanations and babble. Absolutely the worst shopping experience EVER! Ordered a bose speaker and case for Christmas online on 12/18/21. I chose pick up as the store is close by. The speaker was available but the case needed to be ordered. Couldn't opt to split the order so I just opted ship to home since arrival for the speaker said 12/21/21. After payment confirmation, the arrival date for both said 12/24/21. On 12/22/21, I received an email stating that the speaker was delayed and would now arrive 12/27/21. Since this would not work and the speaker was available on store, I went to Best Buy in Silverdale and bought another speaker and would just return the mailed one after Christmas. On 12/24/21, the delayed speaker arrived but no case. I returned the mailed speaker at the Silverdale Store. On 12/26/21, a package that should have been the case arrived. Unfortunately the case [item #HP00045] was not what arrived. It was a box for glasses [item # HP00044] despite the packing slip showing the correct information and item. I drove to the store to return the case was told that they would not take the case back and that the system didn't work that way. Instead, they sent me an email with the shipping label and information to return the wrong case and ordered another case to be resent forcing me to drive to a UPS store to return the wrong box. Thanks so much making me drive multiple trips, go out of my way to drive to UPS, wait in their rediculuous lines to correct your error. Hopefully your quality control department will be able to match the packing slip and get the correct item shipped within a reasonable time. read more
